Celebrate Lake Worth High School's 90th Birthday on July 15

Comment Up

Lake Worth High School 1922
You've come a long way, baby!

When our city was first founded, children were home educated and the Pioneers, with their own labor, hurried and built a one room school in 1912. Ten years later, our first high school was built and it cost $70,262 and it was for grades 8 through 12. It consisted of 8 rooms with the largest auditorium in the State with a capacity of 1,500 persons.

This is a celebration event for our wonderful high school, and for all proud Lake Worth High School graduates, friends of Lake Worth High School and present students. Come one; come all.

In between drinks at Dave's Last Resort(make mine a double martini) tell the Highschool to change its' name too!
Because one Commission member who never did anything for the City wants them to!

Why not at Bryant Park? Nice view and cool breeze off the lake. It might even bring more people to the downtown area.

Bryant Park would be a super location for the Birthday Party! However, I suspect that the organizers could not reserve it at this late date! So, we all spent a lot of time at John Prince Park, it will work! Looking forward to seeing a LOT of alumni!! It should be fun!
Sue Kunkel Drawdy, class of 1960!
