Boston Officers Quietly Aid ICE Despite Wu’s Opposition

Despite sanctuary city policies aimed at preventing cooperation with immigration authorities, some Boston police officers are reportedly assisting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in secret.

According to Breitbart, acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said officers in Boston are privately providing information to help capture undocumented immigrants with criminal records, going against the directives of Mayor Michelle Wu’s administration.

Boston has been a proclaimed sanctuary city under Democratic leadership, limiting local law enforcement from working with ICE in immigration-related matters.

Democrat Mayor Michelle Wu has been vocal in her opposition to such cooperation, previously comparing the agency to secret police forces and neo-Nazi groups. The city’s sanctuary status also reflects broader Massachusetts policy trends.

In Lyons’ view, sanctuary designations like Boston’s do not lead to safer cities. Instead, he claimed they result in more undocumented individuals with criminal records remaining active in communities—requiring repeated response from local police.

According to ICE and DHS statements, many of the individuals targeted in these operations had been released by local authorities despite detainers being lodged by federal agents. Officials claim that state and local "sanctuary policies" hinder their ability to take custody of these individuals, allowing them to return to the community.

In response, some media outlets have investigated claims that immigrants charged with violent crimes are being released, noting that most individuals wanted by ICE are released from court or jail after posting bail, a process in which immigration status is not typically a factor.

Why do Democrats think it's okay for illegals to wander around and commit crimes in American cities or for that matter, even reside in our country?

Bystander’s Throat Slashed in Public Urination Dispute

A shocking incident occurred in Manhattan when a man urinating on a car allegedly slashed the throat of a 66-year-old passerby who told him to stop, according to the New York Daily News. The victim, along with two other witnesses, complained about the man’s conduct, which led to an argument and the suspect slashing the passerby’s throat.

The New York City Police Department reported that the victim suffered a “severe laceration” and was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The other two witnesses did not sustain injuries during the altercation.

In 2016, (under De Blasio) the New York City Council passed a law easing its criminal laws against public urination due to concerns that too many minorities were getting arrested. I would suppose they never considered in their liberal biased BS opinion that those committing the most crimes WERE minorities and are to this day.

While police still have the ability to arrest people under the reform, the city council encourages officers to hand out civil summons instead. First-time offenders face fines ranging from $25 to $250, and those unable to pay the fine are offered the option of doing community service.

We're creating good jobs in communities all across the country, including places where factories have remained dormant for decades due to jobs moving overseas in search of cheaper labor." According to him, his plan has attracted over $600 billion in private investment in America and has led to a surge in manufacturing.

However, it's evident that Biden's policies place a heavy emphasis on issues of racial identity, as he highlighted their impact on "communities historically left behind, women, and people of color." This emphasis isn't surprising, considering the Democratic Party's inclination toward identity politics. But it does raise questions about whether policies should be equitable for all Americans, regardless of their race or gender.

While Biden talked about his economic plans, he abruptly apologized and announced that he needed to attend to another issue in the Situation Room: Hamas had released two more hostages. When questioned about the U.S. position on a ceasefire deal for the hostages, Biden responded somewhat paradoxically, saying, "We should have a ceasefire. Not a ceasefire. We should have those hostages released, and then we can talk." His stance appeared somewhat inconsistent.

In summary, President Biden's press conference featured moments of awkwardness and some contentious claims. While he may tout the alleged successes of his 'Bidenomics' plan, the on-ground reality presents a different picture.
