88-Year-Old Widow in Trailer Listed as $150K ActBlue Donor to Dems

An 88-year-old widow in rural Michigan says she was shocked to learn that federal campaign finance records list her as a major donor to Democratic causes through ActBlue.

The woman, Elizabeth Waffle, lives in a trailer and says she does not have anything close to the money reflected in the records. According to reporting highlighted by journalist Charlie LeDuff, Federal Election Commission filings attribute 14,696 separate donations to her name over the past five years. The total is nearly $150,000.

That works out to roughly eight donations per day, every day, for five years.

Waffle told LeDuff she has made some small political donations before. She described herself as a “true believer” in liberal causes and acknowledged giving some money to Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. But she said the scale of the donations tied to her name does not make sense.

When shown the records, Waffle pushed back hard. “One hundred and fifty thousand?… Hell no. I don’t have that kind of money. This is very abnormal.”

This one hits hard. New FEC filings and a Campus Reform analysis show Duke University employees funneled the vast majority of their political donations to Democrats during the 2026 cycle.

Numbers matter. They donated $1,620,859.80 — about 97.46% — to Democratic-aligned candidates and committees. By contrast, only $42,259.08, or 2.54%, went to Republicans.

“Employee donations to federal candidates and campaign committees in the 2026 midterm cycle confirm the overwhelmingly liberal makeup of Duke University.”

That’s a huge gap. The report calls it out straight: “The dollar gap between the two totals stands at $1,578,600.72, meaning that Duke-affiliated donors gave roughly 38 times more money to Democratic candidates and committees than to Republican ones.”

ActBlue took the biggest slice. “The largest share of Duke-affiliated employee donations flowed to Democratic committees and progressive PACs.

Call it bias. Call it influence. Call it a snapshot of where faculty and staff put their money. Either way, taxpayers and parents paying tuition deserve to know what kind of political tilt exists inside classrooms and departments.

EU Billionaires Funneled $2B to Anti-Trump Groups

A new report revealed that five foreign charities have donated just shy of $2 billion into various American nonprofits and policy advocacy groups focused on climate change and political activism.

Americans for Public Trust released a detailed, 31-page report with receipts tracking money from foreign charities to U.S. groups.

It notes that while contributing directly to political candidates is not permitted under federal law, election-related activities like "get-out-and-vote" campaigns, some lobbying efforts, issue advertising and other politically-charged activities, are in play for foreign dollars.

"There's not a question about where it's going and where it is coming from," Americans for Public Trust executive director Caitlin Sutherland told Fox News Digital. "We know that it's foreign money coming into our U.S. policy fights, climate litigation, research, protests, lobbying, you name it."

"Foreign money is coming in, and it's trying to erode our democracy," Sutherland added.

Federal law requires schools to disclose substantial foreign gifts and contracts to the Department of Education twice a year.

A senior official said these reporting regulations, which require universities to report any donations of $250,000 or more twice a year, predate the Trump administration and were lax under former President Joe Biden.

Sneaky Biden, who had no love for America, moved enforcement of these requirements from the Department of Education’s Office of General Counsel to its Office of Federal Student Aid (to circumvent the reporting).

In the news release, Education Secretary Linda McMahon said, “The Biden-Harris administration turned a blind eye to colleges and universities’ legal obligations by deprioritizing oversight and allowing foreign gifts to pour onto American campuses.”

Musk was reacting to a post that explained how Scott gave $2billion away in 2024 'to groups with witch stated missions like "Empowering Latinx immigrants," "Deportation Defense," and "Justice and equality for LGBTQ immigrants."'

Scott acknowledged another $2 billion in donations in 2023 in a blog post on Wednesday, bringing the total she’s given away since 2019 to $19.2 billion.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Trump’s feud stretches back to Trump’s first presidency.

In August, Trump threatened that Zuckerberg would “spend the rest of his life in prison” if he tried to interfere in the 2024 US election.

But recently, Zuckerberg, who did not endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential election, has been working to mend relations with Trump.

An investigation by THE CITY, Documented and The Guardian, US finds evidence of new instances of an illegal practice at the center of law enforcement probes of the mayor’s political contributions.

Three contributors to Mayor Eric Adams’ 2025 re-election campaign recounted in interviews in the past month how they — and in two cases their spouses — were reimbursed for a total of more than $10,000 in donations by hotel and construction executives in violation of state law.

The interviews came during a joint investigation by THE CITY, Documented, and The Guardian US into the presence in the mayor’s current campaign of illegal “straw” donations — contributions paid for by undisclosed sources in a way that masks their identity.

The University took a huge donation according to a source. The source has provided that the CCP-linked billionaire Shan Weijian, whose daughter attends UMBC, has allegedly donated tens of millions of dollars to UMBC for the school’s effort to remove NFSC protesters. It will be interesting to see if this alleged secret donation took place as we follow through the course of this new legal action by NFSC protesters.

Obviously, the university was influenced by all that money. Protesters were told to discontinue holding signs, handing out flyers, and running livestreams, and to move to a less visible area, on threat of forced removal.
