Another business Bites the Dust in downtown Lake Worth

Hoffman's Chocolates just couldn't generate enough business to survive in our downtown, a downtown where people seem to be more into a cold beer than a piece of chocolate.

I was surprised when they opened up four years ago in our downtown as we already had one chocolate company on Lake Avenue, Kilwin's.  However, Hoffman's was well known having originally opened in 1975 with its headquarters in Greenacres on Lake Worth Road.

Hoffman's Chocolate Factory looking for Holiday performers

Are you in a band, belong to your local school or church choir or know of one to recommend? Hoffman's Chocolates in Greenacres is currently seeking talented groups to perform holiday favorites in the Paul Hoffman Community Corner during our fabulous Winter Wonderland this holiday season.

Performances will be scheduled to take place on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. during November 19 - December 30. Each group should be prepared to perform for approximately 30-45 minutes. This is a wonderful opportunity to perform for family, friends and our local community. Hoffman's Chocolates Winter Wonderland is attended by over 40,000 guests.

I love chocolate.  There, I've said it...my one "sweet tooth" weakness. We have two great chocolate and ice cream stores in downtown Lake Worth--Kilwin's and Hoffman's.
