Italian American Civil Rights League’s Florida Chapter Honors Man of the Year

Italian Americans built America. They built businesses, neighborhoods, churches, and families rooted in faith and discipline. Yet our political influence rarely receives attention.

Roger Stone’s recognition by the Italian American Civil Rights League proves the community still commands respect. Stone’s message was simple: freedom requires courage and loyalty. Italian Americans understand that lesson.

Our grandparents fought for opportunity and dignity. Today, a new generation carries that tradition forward. The launch of the South Florida chapter shows the movement is growing. Heritage matters.

Faith matters. Family matters. And if the packed room at Casa Calabria proved anything, it’s that Italian Americans are ready to defend those values again.

Roger Stone took the podium as the night’s distinguished guest of honor, and his remarks electrified the room. He reminded us that we are living through a consequential moment in American history.

“What we see today unfolding is a fight between good and evil, between dark and light, between the godly and the godless,” Stone declared.

His message was clear and urgent: the battles being waged in politics are fundamentally about preserving our freedoms and values from those who would undermine them. Stone praised Italian Americans as some of the nation’s most patriotic citizens, even though their political influence is rarely discussed openly.

Jut two days after winning an incredible Powerball jackpot of $167 million, a Kentucky man is facing serious charges for allegedly kicking a Florida sheriff's deputy in the face.

James Farthing was celebrating his financial windfall with his girlfriend at the TradeWinds Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida in April.

Reports say Farthing got into a heated argument with an Iowa man, and things escalated into a full-blown brawl.

When Pinellas County deputies stepped in to quell the violence, Farthing allegedly kicked one of the officers in the face near his right eye.

"He f***ing kicked me in the face, he's f***ing going!" the deputy said, as blood stains painted the floor.

His girlfriend got arrested as well for public intoxication. They are both pleading
not guilty."

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles said Harjinger Singh is being charged with Vehicular Homicide

According to The Florida Highway Patrol's report, Singh attempted to make an illegal u-turn near mile-marker 170, which resulted in a mini-van crashing into the side of the commercial semi-truck.

Two passengers inside the minivan, a 37-year-old woman from Pompano Beach and a 54-year-old man from Miami, died at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Chrysler, a 30-year-old man from Florida City, was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Palm Beach County joins fight against ‘shortsighted’ plan for golf courses at Jonathan Dickinson State Park

"Palm Beach County commissioners have joined the loud and growing chorus of opposition to a plan by Gov. Ron DeSantis’ environmental agency (Department of Environmental Protection) to add golf courses at Jonathan Dickinson State Park.

Jonathan Dickinson is one of nine state parks across Florida targeted for major development proposals under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's so-called Great Outdoors Initiative.

Those proposals include pickleball courts, 350-room lodges and disc golf at other state parks, sparking outcry from environmental groups and residents across Florida.

The JD Park proposal calls for golf courses on 1,000 acres in the 10,500-acre park. The popular Hobe Mountain observation tower would be torn down and the existing park entrance, management offices and staff residences would be moved.

The park is home to endangered scrub habitat and the watershed of the Loxahatchee River, which is one of two federally designated wild and scenic rivers in Florida and flows south into Jupiter."

How the amendment reads: • Provide a constitutional right to abortion before fetal viability, which is estimated to be around 24 weeks, or when necessary to protect the patient's health, as determined by the patient's healthcare provider

Bottom row, 2nd from far end is a fetus at 26 weeks. This amendment says you can abort up to 24 weeks or later if it is protecting the mother's health.

The way it is worded, I think it could pass. It's too bad/sad that Democrats believe abortion is a form of birth control.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared on Friday that state authorities had intercepted a vessel transporting dozens of Haitian migrants along with firearms and drugs amidst escalating gang violence in the Caribbean nation.

Speaking at a press conference, DeSantis stated, “Our Florida Fish and Wildlife officers halted a vessel carrying 25 individuals, potential illegal immigrants from Haiti.

On board, they discovered firearms, drugs, night vision equipment, and engaged in reckless boating, posing a potential threat to others.” The interception occurred within the past few weeks, with the migrants subsequently handed over to the Coast Guard for deportation, he added.

On Friday, DeSantis also approved legislation that toughens penalties for immigrants residing illegally in the United States if they are found guilty of driving without a license or committing felonies.

Covid 19 vaccines might have DNA integration

Florida’s Surgeon General Reports Detection of DNA Fragments in Covid mRNA Vaccines

The Florida Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo, is demanding answers from Dr. Robert M. Califf, the Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), regarding the detection of host cell DNA fragments in mRNA COVID-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer and Moderna.

The Florida Surgeon General sent a letter to FDA Commissioner Califf and CDC Director Mandy Cohen on December 6, pressing for greater transparency about the potential for DNA integration into the human genome—a concern that could have far-reaching implications.

The Florida Public Health Integrity Committee discussed these issues on November 14, 2023, and Ladapo urged the FDA to consider their findings. In addition, he reminded Califf of a previous communication dated May 10, 2023, which had yet to receive a response.

On May 10, Ladapo sent a letter to Califf and former CDC Director Rochelle Walensky regarding the risks of the experimental COVID-19 vaccines.

DeSantis' congressional redistricting plan is going before the Florida Supreme Court

In a main opinion and three concurring opinions, the 1st District Court of Appeal by an 8-2 margin rejected a Leon County circuit judge’s ruling that the redistricting plan violated a 2010 state constitutional amendment that set standards for redistricting.

A state appeals court Friday upheld a congressional redistricting plan that Gov. Ron DeSantis pushed through the Legislature, rejecting arguments that it unconstitutionally diminished the rights of Black voters to elect a candidate of their choice.

DeSantis won in the Appellate Court but it will now go on to the Supreme Court.

In a press release, Vires Law Group called for an investigation by Florida’s attorney general, Ashley Moody, claiming that “Murder, terrorism, and a host of abuses have been committed.”

“On October 24, 2023, a request for a criminal investigation, particularly regarding the crime of Second Degree Murder while Committing Acts of Terrorism by Anthony Fauci and several other high-level federal officials, as well as Administrators of hospital systems providing care to patients in Florida, (“Accused”) was filed with the Attorney General of the State of Florida,” the Vires Law Group wrote.

Stranded Floridians in Israel are a priority to Governor DeSantis

DeSantis declared a state of emergency for Florida over Israel.

Gov. Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency for Florida on Thursday related to the surprise attack on Israel by Hamas and ensuing war, declaring in an executive order that Floridians need help evacuating from Israel and local police agencies need assistance handling pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

According to DeSantis's executive order, these concerns "constitute a major disaster" and will authorize the leaders of Florida's National Guard and State Guard to activate their forces "as needed" to respond.

Ron DeSantis' order directs the Florida Division of Emergency Management to charter flights for stranded Florida residents and deliver supplies to Israel. The governor estimates that 20,000 U.S. citizens, including Floridians, remain in Israel.

Biden is making them pay for the cost of travel and not returned to the United States.

10 suspects in South Florida racketeering scheme plead guilty

Seven years after the launch of a comprehensive investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies, all 10 suspects involved in a widespread racketeering scheme have pleaded guilty and received sentences in a case dubbed “Operation Purple Haze.”

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), in collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution, Broward County Sheriff’s Office, DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, and various local police departments, launched an investigation on this operation following a series of burglaries spanning 2015 and 2016, FDLE said in a news release. The criminals targeted national pharmacy chains across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

National Flood Insurance Lawsuit

Florida and other states fighting Biden Administration attempt to dismiss national flood insurance lawsuit

• Multiple states, including Florida and Louisiana, are opposing the Biden administration’s attempt to dismiss a lawsuit challenging changes to the National Flood Insurance Program.

• The lawsuit centers on changes known as “Risk Rating 2.0: Equity in Action,” which have led to significant increases in flood insurance premiums for policyholders.

• The plaintiffs argue that these changes were “arbitrary and capricious” and will result in economic harm, while federal officials claim they are designed to make the program more actuarially sound and fair.

Florida and other states are trying to fend off an attempt by the Biden administration to end a lawsuit challenging changes to the National Flood Insurance Program that have led to higher premiums for many property owners.

Attorneys for 10 states and local government agencies in Louisiana filed a 44-page document Tuesday urging a federal judge to reject arguments that they lack legal standing to challenge the changes, which became fully effective April 1 after being phased in. U.S. Department of Justice lawyers filed a motion last month to dismiss the case.

Florida attracted the most refugees from high tax states in 2022

Recent data shows that Americans are fleeing high-tax states, and a vast number of them are headed for Florida.

A report released on Jan. 30 by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) shows that 26 states saw more people moving in than out. The rest saw people leaving for other states. The top five states, attracting the largest number of new residents, were Florida (318,855), Texas (230,961), North Carolina (99,796), South Carolina (84,030), and Tennessee (81,646).

Conversely, the five states that lost the most residents were California (-343,230), New York (-299,557), Illinois (-141,656), New Jersey (-64,231), and Massachusetts (-57,292).
