Birthright Citizenship

Moreno revives Harry Reid's 1993 immigration bill to force Democrats' hand on birthright citizenship

Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, plans to circulate legislation that mirrors, nearly word for word, a 1993 bill introduced by the late Sen. Harry Reid, the Nevada Democrat who went on to become Senate Majority Leader and one of the most powerful figures in his party.

The move is designed to put today's Democrats in an uncomfortable position: vote against a bill authored by their own icon, or concede ground on birthright citizenship, legal immigration caps, and faster deportations.

Fox News Digital first obtained the forthcoming bill, which Moreno described as "a mirror image of Reid's initial offering from 1993." The package is sweeping. It would restrict birthright citizenship, cut legal immigration substantially, cap refugee admissions at 50,000 per year, and speed up deportations with limited court review.

The timing is no accident. The Supreme Court recently ruled on birthright citizenship, interpreting the Fourteenth Amendment's "subject to the jurisdiction of" clause in a way that effectively grants automatic citizenship to all children born on U.S. soil.

Moreno's bill responds directly to that ruling, and uses Reid's own three-decade-old language to do it.

The Conspiracy to frame Trump

House investigators have turned over texts to Fox News that suggests that Obama, FBI, CIA, and DOJ conspired to frame President Trump. For good measure, you can throw Harry Reid in there.

"Harry Reid is a disgrace"

The ends justify the means?

Megyn Kelly's guest, Dana Loesch said Harry Reid is “one of the most insufferable people in the history of the Congressional body” and should be censured for his “ends justify the means” dirty politics.

This is what happens all of the time. Someone will say something and it sticks...like calling someone a "racist" as an example because you are against illegal immigration or against the Easter Bunny.  It doesn't matter what you're against, politicos will lie and they do it with no sense of shame. "Let's bring the other guy down, no matter what," they say.  What has happened to the morals in this country? What has happened to fair play and winning on truth? For a small city, Lake Worth takes the prize.

Suppression

Comment Up

Here in Lake Worth, the elected officials "rough" up the opposition on a smaller scale but nevertheless, they do their bit to suppress the press--deputy sheriffs attend city commission meetings especially on controversial topics, and the commission  resorts and allows public ridicule of the opposition. Mr. Timm has been "put down" on many occasions from this dais. It's what's happening in America.

During Reid’s tenure as the Majority Leader, he has abolished the filibuster for presidential nominees, eliminated the chamber’s tradition of an open amendment process and refused to bring more than 500 bills passed by the Republican-controlled House to the Senate floor.

  • Eighty-Two -- That is the number of days we have left before the critical 2014-midterm elections.
  • $4.8 Million -- That is the amount of money that Democrats were able to raise online last week.
  • Six -- That is the number of seats Republicans need to pick up to Fire Harry Reid, win the Senate Majority, and put an end to the Obama Agenda.
  • 399 -- That is the number of fundraisers President Obama has attended since taking office.
  • NOTE: This is 71 more fundraisers than President George W. Bush attended in 8 years as president.

Where's My Free Stuff attitude

I really have a big problem with the Democrat's message on just about everything.  Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Harry Reid lie as soon as their little tootsies hit the floor in the morning. Their lives are one big deceptive cartoon. They twist the facts and now they have even turned against the liberal Obama (their master) Supreme Court on its latest decision on Hobby Lobby.

This is an excerpt of the dishonest message I just received this morning from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee:

"Five Supreme Court Justices -- all of them men -- decided that a corporation’s beliefs can override a woman’s access to contraceptive coverage. You would think we were in the 1950s. A woman’s boss should not be in control of her health care decisions. No one's boss should."

I say, they are lucky to be given healthcare by their employer. If something is not covered, go out and buy it. Stop expecting free stuff. It's this attitude that is bringing America down and why every illegal alien south of the border wants to come here.

The National Review OnLine says:
Imagine a woman starts work at Hobby Lobby--It includes access,to the following categories of FDA-approved birth-control:
  1. Male condoms
  2. Female condoms
  3. Diaphragms with spermicide
  4. Sponges with spermicide
  5. Cervical caps with spermicide
  6. Spermicide alone
  7. Birth-control pills with estrogen and progestin (“Combined Pill)
  8. Birth-control pills with progestin alone (“The Mini Pill)
  9. Birth control pills (extended/continuous use)
  10. Contraceptive patches
  11. Contraceptive rings
  12. Progestin injections
  13. Implantable rods
  14. Vasectomies
  15. Female sterilization surgeries
  16. Female sterilization implants

The interest that the Federal Bureau of Land Management has in Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy's acres used to graze his cattle has more to do with a land grab and solar power projects.

Harry Reid - One of his finest moments

Bad optics for the Dems. When asked by Dana Bash at CNN why he isn’t willing to help even one child who has cancer, Reid responded “Why would we want to do that?”

Harry Reid

Harry Reid, Senator from Nevada since 1987.
incorrigible junkyard dog

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Mormon, made a big to do about Mitt Romney's Mormonism after he made the 47% comment. Glenn Beck listened to the comments made by Reid and said, "Harry Reid is a lying man. He is a very bad man. And he is bearing false witness to somebody. This is really bad stuff.”
