Woman's Eye accidentally glued shut

Lantana woman treated at the Palm Beach Eye Center in Lake Worth.

Someone glued her eye shut by accident. Katherine Gaydos of Lantana, Florida, got a piece of debris in her eye while blowing leaves last week, local news station WPBF reported Wednesday. She called to a friend for help, but instead of coming back with eye drops, the friend returned with a small bottle of fingernail glue -- a product that can be used to apply artificial nails or tips.

The PBPost reports that a 44-year-old accountant for the City of Lake Worth Water Division, was arrested in connection to the June hit-and-run that left a Boynton Beach man dead along Lantana Road just west of Interstate 95.

26-year-old Lake Worth man was pushing a Dodge pickup along with a friend when they were struck and killed by a driver in a GMC Yukon SUV. This occurred on Northlake Boulevard late Saturday night. The article does not say whether he lived in the city limits or suburban Lake Worth.

Crash on Lake Worth Road

Yesterday, I was waiting on Lake Osborne Drive for the light to turn green to make a left hand turn to head west. When the light changed, a vehicle coming from the east on Lake Worth Road sped up and went through the red light hitting the small SUV that was turning west off of Boutwell Road and who clearly had  the green light. The driver who ran the light ended up on the other side of the road from the impact. The airbag inflated (the first time I have ever witnessed an inflated airbag) and the driver looked hunched over in her seat towards the passenger side. I don't know if there were any injuries but it was the loudest noise when those cars collided. On the way back from my errand, I photoed the car on a tow truck.

12-13-14--As we were driving to the Lake Worth Christmas Parade late this afternoon, there were a half dozen sheriff's vehicles with flashing lights along with a news photographer in front of the Holiday Mobile Home Park. It has been reported by Channel 5 that a little boy on Holiday Drive  was struck by a car.

Accident on Dixie Highway

Earlier yesterday as I entered City Hall--This is a strange scene as this car was turned around on Dixie directly across from City Hall with damage to the passenger side of his vehicle. There was no Sheriff or any other vehicle that appeared to be in any accident. This shows the driver on his cell phone. Cars heading south were going around him and it did not cause any traffic jam. The photo distorts the fact that the vehicle was in a position that appears it was turning/heading north in a south bound lane.
