Regulation of AI Data Needed

Lake Worth Beach man facing charges for using AI video to make false police report in Seminole County

WPTV's Kate Hussey has been reporting on Martínez-Arizala's activities in Palm Beach County for months

A Lake Worth Beach man was arrested in Puerto Rico and is being charged with making a false police report using AI-generated video.

Authorities in San Juan arrested Alexis Martínez-Arizala, 22, and charged him with providing false information after investigators say he showed an officer a realistic AI video depicting someone stealing the officer’s patrol cruiser.

Former Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg said cases like this highlight gaps in current criminal law. “Laws have not kept up with the fast pace of technology,” Aronberg said.

He said that while civil laws allow people to sue over misuse of their name or likeness, criminal statutes often don’t directly address AI-generated impersonation or deception.

Aronberg said Florida’s proposed AI Bill of Rights brought forward by our great governor, could have helped close that gap by limiting unauthorized use of a person’s name, image, or likeness in AI-generated content.

The bill died in the final days of the legislative session even though on March 4, 2026 the Florida Senate passed the bill with an overwhelming 35–2 vote.

State Attorney Dave Aronberg not running; Rolando Silva to run

‘No Adult Supervision’: State Attorney Accuses Florida Judge Of Going Soft On Trump In Docs Case

Democrat state attorney, Dave Aronberg, claimed Friday that United States District Judge Aileen Cannon of the Southern District of Florida was “overwhelmingly favorable” to former President Donald Trump due to not having “adult supervision.”

Cannon has come under fire from Democrats for rulings that have been perceived as beneficial to Trump, leading them to demand her recusal. State Attorney for Palm Beach County Dave Aronberg said one of the reasons Cannon can make her rulings is because she’s “by herself” in Fort Pierce, Florida.

“As a sitting prosecutor, I’m not going to accuse a federal judge of being corrupt,” Aronberg told MSNBC host Alex Witt. “I do understand, though, why people are asking questions based on her rulings, which have been overwhelmingly favorable to Donald Trump, enough so that the conservative 11th Circuit Court of Appeals repudiated her, embarrassed her publicly last year, when she got involved in the whole special master issue.”

Dave Aronberg is not seeking a 4th term in November. We are not sad.

Former Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Captain Rolando Silva served the people of the City of Lake Worth with respect and integrity and now is running for State Attorney. Everyone should remember him when he served the City of Lake Worth. He was at many of our commission meetings.

Retired Palm Beach Sheriff’s Capt. Rolando “Rolo” Silva a Democrat, is the only ex-cop running to be the county’s top prosecutor this year.

He’s now also the only candidate to carry endorsements from the state and county Police Benevolent Associations (PBAs).

Facing 9 felony charges for leaving 3 dogs in hot car

3 dead dogs dumped after being left in hot car

woman arrested Tammy Garceau, 54, of Lake Worth Beach faces 9 felony charges

This is the full statement from Aronberg:
“The allegations in this case are disturbing and heartbreaking, but since this is pending I am unable to comment further. As State Attorney and an animal lover, I’ve made it a priority that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in Palm Beach County. We prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, but the law itself need to be strengthened. Felony animal cruelty cases rarely result in jail or prison time. I would like to see the Florida legislature make it easier to send these violators to prison."

Dems are excited about a possible arrest of Donald Trump

The New York case is the weakest of the four criminal cases being investigated against Trump

says Dave Aronberg

All the nasty Dems are giddy just thinking about Trump in handcuffs, his mughot taken and thrown in jail for the world to see.

What a bunch of reprobates.

Dave Aronberg, state attorney for Palm Beach County, Florida says, "there’s a good chance that won’t happen." The report stated that the Secret Service made it very clear that nobody is going to put their hands on the former president.

“The Secret Service is not going to allow local law enforcement to put their hands on the former president,” said Dave Aronberg.

Fraudulent Ballots and the Legitimacy of the Election Process

Gillum and Nelson Actively Fighting for Allowing Non-Citizen Votes To Count

This is what it's all about for Democrats and why they are open border people.

“The vote was disallowed despite the objections of the lawyers because two of the three members of the canvassing board ruled that it was an impermissible vote.” [Western Journal] Can you even imagine that even one person on the Canvassing Board would even consider an illegal voting?

People voted twice and many were not registered at all. Some filled in votes for several people for the same office. Now officials are trying to determine "intent." How do you determine the "intent" of the voter? I would think that would be subjective and "intent" should not be considered. If you can't fill in a ballot correctly, perhaps you have no business voting at all.

93,000 ballots were "found" after the election closed in Broward County and trucks, unattended by any security, arrived in dead of night loading and unloading boxes. Rep. Matt Gaetz filmed it.

Our Democratic State Attorney said: "I seen no evidence of voter fraud in the Nov. 6 elections, despite claims and conspiracies on the Internet. There are a lot of allegations that could undermine the faith of the electorate. But our office has not received any credible complaints of election fraud nor has the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. There hasn’t been any evidence other than conspiracy videos that do not hold water. I fear that it will undermine the faith in our elections.″

No kidding, Mr. Aronberg. The integrity of our elections in Broward and Palm Beach counties have been forever tainted.

Quote of the Day - Dave Aronberg

Comment Up

"The bill aimed at cracking down on advertising practices of Sober Homes ultimately was gutted by the [Florida] house.

The bill would have done some good things but the legislature seemed to think that this was a Palm Beach County issue as opposed to a statewide issue, which is incorrect. It IS a statewide issue. Ground zero just happens to be in Palm Beach County and in Delray Beach in particular."

~ Dave Aronberg
State Attorney

There is a Task Force Advisory Panel that is still being planned and Aronberg hopes that the power of this board will eventually influence the Florida Legislature.

Anonymous Florida Terrorist Group threatens Dave Aronberg

Comment Up

Why are some up in arms that our State Attorney, Dave Aronberg, wants the tragic death of Corey Jones to go to a Grand Jury? And now we have this terrorist group Anonymous entering the picture. In our system, people are innocent until proven otherwise. We can't go around lynching people as some would like to happen in this case.

A grand jury is a panel of citizens called for service just like a trial jury (also called a “petit jury”) in a criminal or civil case. But a grand jury’s function is different. A prosecutor presents evidence and the grand jurors decide whether it establishes that the accused probably committed a crime. The grand jurors don’t decide guilt or innocence, only whether the person should be charged. If the grand jury decides that the accused probably committed a crime, then it will issue an indictment, effectively bringing criminal charges against the accused. Source: NOLO

Let the system work. Dave Aronberg is crossing the T's and dotting the I's. As Aronberg said, “I’d ask people not to jump to conclusions until it’s done.” He will do his job fairly and honestly for both parties. That's his job.

Cpt. Rolando Silva leaves Lake Worth

Comment Up
Cpt. Rolando Silva and Mayor Pam Triolo

Tuesday night, Cpt. Rolando Silva received a standing ovation from all those in the city commission chamber for eight years of devoted service to the citizens of this city, always treating the residents with the highest degree of respect.

As everyone knows, he now will be a special prosecutor at the State Attorney Dave Aronberg' office and instead of arresting criminals, he will now be prosecuting them.

Watch Dave on Channel 5 News

Dave has been an attorney for more than 15 years, a public servant for more than a decade and is running in his fourth campaign (all of which he was highly vetted by both the press and his opponents). Neither his professional nor political record has had a single ethical blemish.
