Idaho legislature passes bill making opposite-sex restroom entry a crime

Idaho lawmakers sent a bill to Republican Gov. Brad Little on Friday that would make it a crime to knowingly enter a restroom or changing room designated for the opposite sex, carrying penalties up to a felony for repeat offenders.

The Idaho Senate approved House Bill 752 on a 28-7 vote, following the House's 54-15 passage on March 16. The measure, if signed, would take effect July 1 and apply in government buildings and places of public accommodation, including private businesses.

The bill makes Idaho one of a growing wave, more than 20 states now have laws restricting bathroom access based on biological sex. But Idaho's version goes further than many, attaching criminal penalties that escalate sharply for a second violation.

A first offense would be a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison. A second offense within five years would be a felony carrying up to five years behind bars.

A man from blue state Illinois masquerading as a woman apparently walked into a women's restroom at the Florida Capitol last month — and was shocked when officers standing nearby arrested him.

Marcy Rheintgen, a 20-year-old college student from Illinois who identifies as transgender, notified scores of public officials of his intention to defy Florida law and use a bathroom designated for females only.

Chelsea Manning and Other Activists Arrested at Capitol

A group of transgender activists led by former Army intelligence officer Chelsea Manning were arrested this week at the Capitol.

The group was protesting the new bathroom rule put in place by Speaker Johnson (R-LA) to ensure only biological women use the women’s room.

The rule was put in place because Democrats elected the first openly transgender woman to Congress during the last election.

There are bathrooms at the Capitol that can be used by transgenders, but they want access to the ladies' room, and Johnson was not having it.

Red State Gov Signs Bill Banning Men From Women’s Bathrooms

Men are now barred from using women’s public restrooms in Mississippi, the state’s governor announced Monday.

Republican Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves announced on social media he signed the SAFER Act into law on Monday morning. The law prohibits people in Mississippi from entering restrooms and other sex-exclusive areas in public buildings that do not align with their biological sex, according to the legislative text.

“Today is a win for girls and women across our state, and I was proud to sign SB2753 into law,” Reeves said. “You have my word that as long as I’m governor, our state will do everything in its power to keep Mississippi’s daughters safe.”

Appeals court rules against transgender man in bathroom case in Florida

A federal appeals court has ruled that a Florida school district’s policy of separating school bathrooms based on biological sex is constitutional.

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals announced its 7-4 decision on Friday, ruling that the St. Johns County School Board did not discriminate against transgender students based on sex, or violate federal civil rights law by requiring transgender students to use gender-neutral bathrooms or bathrooms matching their biological sex.

The court’s decision was split down party lines, with seven justices appointed by Republican presidents siding with the school district and four justices appointed by Democratic presidents siding with Drew Adams, a former student who sued the district in 2017 because he wasn’t allowed to use the boys restroom.

It's so sad that our judicial system has been invaded by politics. This is a common sense decision but four on the Appellate Court voted against. Incredible.

Anyone and his brother could use a bathroom of his/her choice--that's the way the Democrats wanted it. They made a big deal of it at their 2016 Democrat Convention. But these Democrat women objected to this guy using their restroom and now he's resigning.

Oh the hypocrisy of it all and the STUPIDITY. Just use the bathroom you're supposed to use--if a man, use a men's room, etc. Not so difficult.

Maya Dillard Smith, the now former Georgia ACLU Chief said the ACLU is no longer an organization that supports all rights, but has evolved into a “special interest organization” that advocates only for “certain progressive rights.”

Smith also charged that the ACLU tailors its activities to satisfy the progressives who are funding the group’s lobbying activities one of which is Obama's transgender bathroom rights. A transgender called her a B*itch and told her to STFU.  We usually hear that sort of rhetoric from "progressives."

In 2013, California, a state always ahead of the liberal progressive curve and probably why they're nearly bankrupt, adopted a law allowing students in schools to use facilities, showers, restrooms, locker rooms, etc., based on their “gender identity.”
