Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga Perform "Shallow" at the 2019 Oscars!
I think this was the best movie of the year in every respect, not just for the best original song, but for the direction, Bradley Cooper (love this guy) and Lady Gaga. I could see this movie over and over again and never tire of it.

Quote of the day - Allen West - How to fight ISIS
Comment Up
“Jordan understands far
better how to fight the Islamic State (ISIS or Daesh) than the Obama
administration. So the only way you can deal with savage, barbaric
animals is to be tough and ruthless. And that is
something that General al-Sisi understands in Egypt, that Prime Minister
Netanyahu understands and that King Abdullah understands.
The one thing all three of them have in common:
They understand the enemy and how you have to fight it.”
~ Ret. Lt. Col. Allen West
Obama has never served in the military.

- you have an airborne commando that leads Israel
- you have an American-trained special forces officer that leads Jordan
- you have a former Egyptian military general that leads in Egypt.
They understand the enemy and how you have to fight it.”

Quote of the Day - Allen West--responding to Al Sharpton
Comment Up
"If you want to talk about no diversity in honoring excellence, look at the recipients of the Most Valuable Player awards over the last 58 years. It's shocking! Seventy-eight percent of all MVP's in history have been black. Boy, I'd say the NBA is way too black. We ought to hold an emergency meeting to discuss possible action against the NBA, right Al? I mean it's simply not FAIR. In the NBA, it's like outer space, Al--the higher you get, the darker it gets."
~ Allen West
responding to and using the words of racist Al Sharpton and his left fuming crazy comment about looking into the possibility of suing the Academy Awards for not honoring a black person.

Top Gun - It Takes My Breath Away
In 1986, Tom Cruz had the "best" movie, Top Gun, and in it was the song, Take My Breath Away. It won awards: the Academy Award for Best Original Song, as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in 1986. Platoon won the Academy Award that year and Top Gun was not even in the mentioning other than for its song. This is the movie that I remember the most and never get tired of the re-runs. Here is a "snippet" (good word lately) of the tune in the latest cool television advertisement.
