Scott Jennings Makes CNN Face the Greenland Deal They Said Would Never Happen

Scott Jennings, CNN’s lone conservative voice, turned an on-air discussion of President Trump’s new Greenland Deal into a victory lap. The other panelists were left to listen as Jennings revisited months of criticism aimed at Trump’s Greenland vision.

For months, critics on the left had claimed that Trump was undermining American foreign policy and putting the relationship with Denmark at risk. They also argued that his approach was weakening Europe and NATO. Jennings used the segment to remind the panel of those warnings—and to compare them with what he said actually happened.

Jennings pointed to remarks from Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The source account described those remarks as strongly pro-American and pro-Trump. According to the transcript published via Overton News, Frederiksen heaped praise on both Trump and the United States.

That collided with earlier predictions that an agreement involving the United States and Greenland would never happen. Jennings placed those predictions beside the outcome he was describing: a deal that got done despite the uproar, followed by a speech he said could not have been more supportive of Trump and American interests.

The executive order – signed March 31, 2026 – directed the U.S. Postal Service to create a new system regulating who could vote by mail, requiring states to presubmit lists of eligible mail voters.

Blitzer handed Spanberger her talking point on a silver platter. "In Virginia, you have a lot of military personnel who totally rely on mail-in ballots if they want to be able to express their opinions," he told her.

Spanberger ran with it. She said it was members of the military, diplomatic service, and intelligence services – "people serving overseas in service to our country" – whose ballots would be threatened.

There was just one problem...It wasn't true. It was a big fat ignorant lie.

If you dislike what a federal agency is doing, he said, you have three choices – vote, use your words, or set off an incendiary device at a federal building.

"There's no justification for this," Jennings said, and the debate was over.

Jennings and Adam Mockler, 23 year old Progrressive of something called The Meidas Touch formed in March 2020 with the purpose of stopping the reelection of Donald Trump in the 2020 United States presidential election, were verbally sparring over Iran when Jennings decided he’d had enough of Mockler’s hands flying everywhere and let him know.

He admits to failing in his fundamental duty during the Biden presidency, only to now weaponize that failure as a pretext for a politically motivated assault on a vigorous and effective President Trump. It is the height of hypocrisy, not accountability.

President Donald Trump took aim at "fake news CNN" and reporter/anchor Kaitlan Collins on Saturday morning, hailing the White House ballroom reconstruction plan.

"Kaitlin Collin's of Fake News CNN, always Stupid and Nasty, asked me why the new Ballroom was costing more money than originally thought one year ago," Trump wrote Saturday morning on Truth Social.

"I said because it is going to be double the size, and the quality of finishes and interiors has been brought to the highest level.

"Also, the column SPAN has been substantially increased for purposes of viewing."

Trump added a reminder that his White House refurbishing is coming at zero cost to taxpayers, a rarity in government.

"It is actually under budget and ahead of schedule, as my jobs always are," his statement continued. "It's just much bigger and more beautiful than originally planned.

CNN analyst: Public opinion has shifted amid shutdown — but not for the party you'd expect

Government shutdowns historically help the party that is out of power.

Nearing the one-month mark, the government shutdown has caused increased anxiety as Republicans stand fast against Democrat demands. However, new polling shows some surprising shifts in public opinion.

Explaining the results of new polls from AP-NORC and Quinnipiac, CNN data analyst Harry Enten demonstrated that Republicans have little to no reason to "give in" in this battle in the Senate.

'This is, in fact, the worst position Democrats have been on a generic ballot at this point in a midterm when there was a Republican president in the last 20 years.'

To begin, Enten showed that the Republican brand in general gained two points in popularity: "That’s within the margin of error, but clearly it hasn’t dropped."

Approval for congressional Republicans has also increased by five points since the shutdown began, according to Enten's analysis.

“We have a presidency won by Donald Trump, who won the popular vote, who won the Electoral College, who won all the swing states. We have a democracy. People voted, and they elected the president. And the only thing they’re mad about is that he is lawfully executing the office of the presidency and enforcing laws that have been on the books for a long time.

“So he made up a video, they made up a reason to have a rally, and I think it was kind of funny, to be honest with you.”
