Byron Donalds is the Frontrunner for Florida Governor

Donalds still leads Florida GOP governor’s race

but rivals press him on lawsuit, debates and polling

Byron Donalds remains the Republican frontrunner for Florida governor, but his rivals are trying to make the final stretch of the primary far less comfortable.

The Trump-endorsed congressman is now pushing back against a new civil assault lawsuit filed in Collier County by Kelly Mason, who alleges Donalds threatened and intimidated her during a 2022 confrontation inside Seed to Table, a Naples grocery store.

The complaint claims the confrontation stemmed from litigation involving Donalds’ wife, Erika Donalds, and that Donalds threatened to “crush” or “finish” Mason. Donalds’ campaign dismissed the lawsuit as political.

“This is a baseless, politically motivated attack and shameful publicity stunt designed to damage Byron Donalds in the 2026 election,” said Gates McGavick, Donalds’ campaign communications director. “This individual has a long history of unsuccessful litigation against the Donalds family. Floridians deserve better news coverage than lazy reprints of a tabloid.”

The lawsuit comes as Donalds’ opponents are also trying to force him onto a debate stage. Former House Speaker Paul Renner is calling for another Republican primary debate, preferably on Fox News or another national outlet, after Donalds skipped a recent podcast debate featuring Renner, Lt. Gov. Jay Collins and James Fishback. Axios reported Donalds was still mentioned dozens of times during that debate, even though he did not participate.

“The voters want debates, they deserve debates,” Renner said. “He has to answer the why question: Why should he be the governor and not the other candidates in this race?”

There is no need for Donalds to debate:
Rep. BYRON DONALDS is out front with 37.5 percent, while Collins has 20.2 percent. Investor JAMES FISHBACK is in third with 9.6 percent. Former state House Speaker PAUL RENNER was at 2.1 percent

Democrat Polls for 2028

Kamala Harris dominates AOC in early 2028 Democratic primary polling

Three years before the next presidential election, Democrats are already polling their bench, and the results tell a familiar story about a party that lost the White House, lost the Senate, and lost House seats, yet keeps circling back to the same names that led them there.

A Lake Research Partners survey of 800 Democratic primary voters, conducted May 6, 11, tested a hypothetical 2028 presidential primary using ranked-choice voting scenarios.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris led a 13-candidate field with 25 percent support. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York finished fourth at 9 percent, a 16-point gap that widened further when the field narrowed.

In a five-candidate ranked-choice simulation, Harris held 30 percent. California Governor Gavin Newsom took 24 percent. Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg drew 22 percent. Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Mark Kelly tied for last at 12 percent each.

When elimination rounds played out, Harris beat Newsom in the final matchup, 52 percent to 48 percent. The poll carried a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

Early general election polls taken three years out are historically unreliable. But the Democratic appetite for testing these matchups reveals a party already gaming out 2028 with the same roster that failed in 2024.

Democrat poll numbers going down - 29% Approval Rating

Democrats Just Hit a Record Low and Nobody Noticed Because the Media Is Busy Covering Trump Polls

Democrats lost the White House, the Senate, and the House in 2024 after promising to save democracy.

Now a brand new Fox News poll shows the party that was supposedly the last line of defense against fascism just hit 29% approval with the American people. And that's actually a good number for them. Fox News Poll Finds Congressional Democrats at Record 70% Disapproval.

Let's start with what Fox News found. Congressional Democrats are sitting at a record 70% disapproval rating. Seventy percent. That's not a typo, and that's not a partisan pollster.

That's Fox News – the same outlet Democrats spent years demanding you not trust – delivering the worst numbers in the poll's history for the party of Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. Gallup found Schumer's personal approval rating at 39% among his own Democrats — down from 76% just two years ago.

The Wall Street Journal poll from mid-2025 found Democrats at their lowest favorability rating in more than 30 years – net negative 30 points, with 63% of voters saying the party was "out of touch" with everyday Americans.

Out of touch.

Democrats are in the Tank with the American people

Crucial voter groups fleeing Democrats, says stunned former Clinton pollster

"Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn said Friday on Fox News that crucial voter groups are fleeing the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party's favorability rating plummeted to a new low of 29%, according to a CNN/SSRS poll conducted from March 6-9. During an appearance on "Hannity," Penn said he was shocked at the current state of the Democratic Party and said he's never seen its rating this low in decades.

"I've never seen anything like this in over 40 years of polling. The Democratic Party ratings have collapsed from a 47% favorable down to 29, 27 in some of these polls, and that's an incredible loss of moderate, working-class voters," Penn said.

Growing optimism in the country under Trump

Donald Trump received this great news that left NBC’s Kristen Welker grinding her teeth

Democrats and their media allies have no winning message for the American people.

So they have resorted to attacking Republicans.

Democrats want people to believe that the country is in utter chaos. Each day, the so-called mainstream media are manufacturing some crisis in order to make the Trump administration look disordered.

However, the American people seem to have a different perspective--

Poll has it that 44% say we are headed in the right direction. That’s up since November. And if that doesn’t seem like a lot, the last time it cracked 40%, you’ve got to go back to 2012. The last time it actually hit 44 or higher, January of 2004.

So, allow this to sink in--according to the data, this is the most optimistic the country has been about the direction of the country in 21 years.

Poll numbers good for DOGE

Poll reveals strong support for Musk's cost-cutting initiative

A recent national poll has caught the attention of many with its surprising results on public sentiment regarding the federal spending cuts introduced by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

News of majority support for the initiative has emerged from the CBS/YouGov poll, illustrating a divided yet definitive opinion on government resource management in America.

The poll demonstrates that a substantial portion of the American public supports Musk's efforts, favoring reductions in wasteful expenditures over maintaining potentially necessary programs.

As Democrats love polls and love to remind everyone of Trump's poll numbers, this should upset their little apple cart.

The View considering hiring a pro-Trump co-host

The worst of the worst--true reprobates

Trump’s victory might have triggered one shocking change on “The View”

America’s national media elites did their best to stop Donald Trump.

But he won the election anyway...overwhelmingly!

And Trump’s victory might have triggered one shocking change on The View.

Donald Trump’s win over Kamala Harris was not just a win against the Democrats.

It was a win against the media’s propaganda.

If people only watched the so-called “mainstream” media, they would have thought that Harris was going to win handily over Trump. I admit, I was nervous about these polls.

Days before the election, the media even cited suppression polls that said Harris was going to win Iowa and Florida, two solidly red states. The media got it completely wrong...on purpose, as they are an arm of the Democrat party.

Race too close for my comfort

Trump poised for Electoral College win as polls show ex-president leading Harris in 4 battleground states

New polling of battleground states forecasts wins for Donald Trump across the board in a quartet of them, positioning him for 280 electoral votes and a return to the White House.

The surveys from Insider Advantage and the Trafalgar Group spotlighted contests between Trump and Harris in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, and Georgia.

In the Keystone State, where 19 electoral votes are up for grabs, the Insider Advantage survey shows Trump up 48% to 47% among 800 likely voters over the Democratic nominee, with 3% undecided and 2% saying they will support another candidate.

The average poll in the state shows Trump up by half a percentage point, so this aligns with the narrow lead the GOP nominee has currently and with historical performance; the former president won it in 2016 by 0.73% and lost it 4 years later by 1.17%.

Democrats grow nervous about the polls

John Fetterman is scared to death the pollsters are making this giant error about Trump

The polls were wrong in the 2016 and 2020 Elections.

Will the polls miss again for the third straight time?

Now, John Fetterman is scared to death the pollsters are making this giant error about Trump.

The 2016 Election saw pollsters miss former President Donald Trump’s white working-class support in the Midwest.

2020 saw the biggest polling error in 40 years...not to mention voter fraud.

That’s why Democrats take no comfort in polls showing Vice President Kamala Harris leading Trump.

Doug Schoen can't vote for Harris

Former Clinton Pollster Says He Cannot Vote for Harris

Democrat Pollsters aren't even honest

Pollsters Who Called 2016, 2020 Say Harris Losing Steam

Two pollsters who accurately called the 2016 and 2020 elections say Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris is decelerating in battleground state polls, a loss in momentum that is paving the way for Republican Donald Trump to reach 296 electoral votes and victory in November, the New York Post reported.

Matt Towery of Georgia-based InsiderAdvantage and South Carolina-based Robert Cahaly of Trafalgar have Trump winning six of the seven battleground states that will decide the election.

"The momentum that we were seeing after the Democratic National Convention has sort of come to an end," Towery told the Post.

Democrats have Cause for Concern

Halperin Reveals Shocking News About Dems’ Worst Nightmare Ahead

Journalist and author Mark Halperin revealed during a recent live stream that the Democratic Party may be in a “scary position” this November as polls show Vice President Kamala Harris is not performing as strongly as expected in key swing states.

Halperin explained that while Harris may be leading “on paper,” she is well within the margin of error in several crucial battleground states and could face a potential deficit by mid-September.

According to Halperin, “there’s some public polling already, there’s more coming… there’s some private polling that suggests that nationally, [Harris is] not ahead.” He went on to emphasize that in these states, Trump is currently “ahead in all the Sun Belt states, and ahead in Pennsylvania and competitive in Michigan and Wisconsin.”

This, Halperin argued, could put Trump on a “single path to 270 electoral votes” and pose a major concern for the Democratic Party in the final stretch before Election Day.

One possible reason for Harris’ lackluster performance in these crucial states could be her delayed release of an official policy platform and her avoidance of in-depth interviews with the press.

Republican Senator Tom Cotton noted during a recent ABC News interview that Harris has not publicly renounced her far-left views from the 2020 campaign, instead leaving it to her aides to address the issue.

Fox News Wants More Democrats Tuning In, Trump Not Happy

"Fox News is making moves as the November election approaches to appeal to more Democrats and independents to join its conservative audience base, according to a report by Axios.

"I think if you build it, they will come. And independents, Democrats are coming to our shows more and more," Fox News anchor Bret Baier told Axios at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where he and fellow anchor Martha MacCallum were covering events for the network.

Their coverage has included interviews with several key Democrats, including nominee Kamala Harris' campaign co-Chair Cedric Richmond, Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg."

Just over a week ago, Fox heavily promoted a Marquette poll showing him 6 points behind Harris while ignoring polls released at the same time by CNBC and Rasmussen showing him ahead.

Kamala Harris will be mad as hell when she finds out this ugly truth

Kamala Harris will be mad as hell when she finds out this ugly truth

Kamala Harris is riding a wave of media generated momentum after assuming the place as presumptive Democrat Party nominee for President. But the euphoria is wearing off, and everyone now gets to see where the race stands.

The media is pushing a narrative that Kamala Harris is the greatest political phenomenon to hit America.News outlets continue to beat the drum that says Harris is surging in the polls.

After a week of Harris being the presumptive nominee, CNN data analyst Harry Enten figured there were enough polls to evaluate the true state of play.

Redfield and Wilton released their latest round of swing state polling:
  • Trump led in seven of nine swing states and was tied in Wisconsin.
  • Minnesota was the only state where Harris led Trump.
This poll cut against the Left’s narrative, as Trump did better in these polls than he fared against Biden in Redfield Wilton’s last set of polls taken just before Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

Venezuela Election Outcome - Changed in the dead of night

The country’s electoral authority announced Maduro win just after midnight on Monday

despite multiple exit polls which pointed to an opposition win.

The authority said opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez won 44% of the vote, though the opposition had earlier said it had “reasons to celebrate” and asked supporters to continue monitoring vote counts.

Maduro, appearing at the presidential palace before cheering supporters, said his reelection is a triumph of peace and stability and reiterated his campaign trail assertion that Venezuela’s electoral system is transparent.

A poll from Edison Research, known for its polling of U.S. elections, had predicted in an exit poll that Gonzalez would win 65% of the vote, while Maduro would win 31%.[ch.org]

Kamala is in the "honeymoon" stage -Trump leading in polls

NY Times Poll: Majority of Registered Voters Say Trump ‘Will Bring About the Right Kind of Change’

Kamala is getting all the hype right now...soon to calm down

The latest poll conducted by the left-wing New York Times reveals a striking shift in public opinion regarding former President Donald Trump.

A significant majority of registered voters now perceive Trump as a catalyst for transformative change, representing an unexpected development given the source of the survey and the evolving perception of Trump as a change agent.

This revelation serves as a poignant reminder of the electorate’s fervent desire to veer away from the trajectory set over the past three years, signifying a profound yearning for a different national direction.

Breitbart News has reported on this pivotal development, accentuating the findings of the New York Times/Siena College poll.
