House Republicans move to defund Planned Parenthood

CV NEWS FEED // House Republicans unveiled sweeping legislation late Sunday that would defund Planned Parenthood for the next decade and prohibit taxpayer funding of so-called “gender transition procedures” for minors under Medicaid.

The bill, part of a broader GOP fiscal package aligned with President Donald Trump’s agenda, includes multiple provisions long sought by the pro-life movement.

Section 44126 bars any federal funds from going to “prohibited entities” that perform abortions outside Hyde Amendment exceptions, which only allow for abortions in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life is at risk.

Catholic Joe Biden Awards Medal To Former Planned Parenthood Head Who Oversaw Hundreds Of Thousands Of Abortions

President Joe Biden awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Cecile Richards Wednesday, the former president of Planned Parenthood.

Biden praised Richards for her “courage” and fearlessness in leading America towards being “a nation of freedom” in an X post. Richards oversaw at least 3.8 million abortions during her 12 years as Planned Parenthood’s president, according to Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, which analyzed several of the organization’s annual reports.

Cecile Richards served as the president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund from 2006 to 2018.

Richards stepped down from her position as head of the organization in 2018 after a federal investigation revealed Planned Parenthood was allegedly illegally harvesting and selling parts from aborted babies. Earlier this year, Richards announced that she has been battling the same form of brain cancer that killed Biden’s son in 2015, according to abc News.

The former Planned Parenthood president previously urged women “to be bold” in announcing their abortions and to encourage other women to do the same.

WASHINGTON—In Wisconsin kicking off a White House tour to promote unlimited abortion, Vice President Kamala Harris pushed the extreme pro-abortion position of the Biden-Harris Administration and the Democratic Party.

“The Biden-Harris Administration supports a policy of unlimited abortion, meaning abortion anytime, anywhere, and under any circumstances,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris see the lives of precious preborn babies as expendable.”

The Biden-Harris Administration has prioritized a radical abortion agenda: unlimited abortions for any reason, even as a method of family planning and even late in pregnancy—right up until birth—and using tax dollars to pay for it.

This Administration has employed a whole-of-government approach to promoting abortion, using every lever of power at its disposal to make abortions more available and more common, with no thought of the innocent unborn children who would die.

“This administration continues to pour all of its efforts into promoting unlimited abortion, even late in pregnancy,”said Tobias. “The Biden-Harris White House is the most pro-abortion White House in American history.”

In conjunction with more restrictive abortion laws, abortions fell across Florida by 14.5 percent, according to numbers released by the Agency for Health Care Administration. There were 4,503 in Palm Beach County.

Federal Court Strikes Down Biden’s Transgender Medical Mandate

A federal appeals court on Friday struck down a Biden administration statute that forced doctors to perform medical procedures, including gender-transition procedures, against their religious beliefs.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit unanimously upheld a lower court’s ruling in Franciscan Alliance v. Becerra which protected around 19,000 health care professionals in Franciscan Alliance, a Catholic health care network, from performing medical procedures against their conscience.

“This ruling is a major victory for conscience rights and compassionate medical care in America,” said Joseph Davis, counsel at Becket, in a statement. “Doctors cannot do their jobs and comply with the Hippocratic Oath if the government requires them to perform harmful, irreversible procedures against their conscience and medical expertise.”

Glenn said that people in this country who lament that "just five people are going to make the decision for the rest of us" in reference to the five Supreme Court Justices who are in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade, should actually welcome the idea of having duly elected state officials making decisions instead of Supreme Court justices who are appointed by the president.

"What the Supreme Court did yesterday was very clear. It did not ban abortion. It didn't. What it did was return the power to the people," Glenn stated.

Democrats know this but they, once again, are trying to fool their constituents. They must believe that people are really dumber than dirt.
