Portnoy eviscerates college kids pushing socialism

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy didn’t mince words when Fox Business host Stuart Varney asked him about young progressives embracing socialism and candidates like Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and New York City mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani.

"It makes me want to puke," Portnoy told Varney during his Monday appearance on the network.

The sports media mogul had just watched a clip of Gen Z Democrats extolling the virtues of socialism, with one young voter declaring "I think more politicians should be adopting socialism."

"These are college kids. They’ve never had probably had a job in their lives. They’ve grown up probably coddled, reading books about how the world is, but they’ve never been in the real world. I don’t like any government where [it has] disincentivized initiative [or] working hard, and that’s what socialism does," Portnoy explained.

"I’m all for taking care of people and giving back," he explained. "But you know what entrepreneurs do? They create jobs, they create livings, they create wages. I just fundamentally [believe] socialism doesn’t work. There are plenty of examples…"

Young socialists live in this weird bubble where they think government can just wave a magic wand and create prosperity without anyone actually having to work for it.

They don’t understand the basic economic reality that someone has to create wealth before politicians can redistribute it...says Mamdani is scary.

"The craziest thing is her campaign was 'turn the page,' you know, 'start a new America,' all this," he said on "Hannity." They tried to distance her from Joe Biden. But when predictable questions arose, she couldn’t respond. "How are you different than Joe? What would you have done differently?" were key questions, and she had no answers.

Portnoy called this failure "probably the biggest ringing indictment in the campaign." He pointed out that the campaign should have anticipated those questions. "You know that question is coming," he explained. "I don’t know how they didn’t sit around with the smartest people they got and be — 'Hey, here’s how you answer that question.' She never was able to, and it probably cost her the campaign."

It was so much more than that, Dave. She lied about everything, knew nothing about any issue that concerned voters and America saw through it and was disgusted. Her campaign was all about denigrating the best President ever and she failed miserably.

In a lengthy anti-Kamala rant posted on X, Portnoy said the “gaslighting” l claiming that the Vice President is some kind of “change candidate” and is amazing must stop, pointing out how she can’t even answer simple questions during friendly interviews.

Portnoy started out his video talking about how at recent rallies, Harris has told the crowd “It’s time to turn the page,” trying to claim she’s something different than what we have seen from President Joe Biden — despite being the sitting VP

She had an insane immigration problem, rising inflation and crime. He also mentioned the disaster this administration has been around the world with regard to Afghanistan, Russia, Israel and more.
