Marco will be the Point Man on Cuba

Trump signals Cuba could follow Venezuela's diplomatic path, says Havana 'wants to talk very badly'

President Donald Trump told Axios in a recent interview that Cuba may be next in line for a diplomatic opening similar to the one his administration has pursued with Venezuela, and that Havana is eager to begin.

"Cuba wants to talk very badly," Trump said, adding that he plans to deploy Secretary of State Marco Rubio to lead any future discussions with the island's government.

The remarks, first reported by Newsmax, amount to the clearest public signal yet that the administration sees Cuba and Venezuela as linked pieces of a broader Western Hemisphere strategy.

Trump did not spell out what a Cuba initiative would look like or whether formal talks are imminent. But his language, and his choice of envoy, suggests the White House is at least testing the waters.

When asked about next steps, Trump pointed directly to his top diplomat. "We're going to have Marco get involved," he said.

That choice carries weight. Rubio, a Cuban American, has spent years as one of Washington's most vocal critics of the Castro regime and its successors. He has consistently advocated maintaining pressure on Havana and Caracas while supporting democratic opposition movements across the region. Naming him as the point man signals the administration does not intend to offer concessions without conditions.

Rubio is described as one of the administration's most influential voices on Latin American policy. His involvement would give any Cuba opening a hawkish anchor, a negotiator unlikely to trade away leverage for goodwill alone.

Pramila Jayapal working against the United States

White House rips Jayapal for working with foreign ambassadors to get oil to Cuba despite U.S. sanctions

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a naturalized citizen and advocate for illegal immirants, told a Seattle audience she had been talking with ambassadors from Mexico and other countries about how to get oil to Cuba, a country under U.S. sanctions and on the State Sponsor of Terrorism list.

The White House responded with a blistering rebuke, and the remarks set off a firestorm over whether a sitting member of Congress crossed a legal and ethical line.

The Washington State Democrat made the comments during a recent briefing in Seattle after returning from a congressional delegation trip to Cuba in April, where she traveled with Rep. Jonathan Jackson, D-Ill. A video clip of her remarks circulated widely on X and drew immediate condemnation from the Trump administration, Republican lawmakers, and conservative commentators.

Fox News Digital reported that Jayapal described the situation on the island as "a crisis beyond imagination" and told the audience she had been working back channels with foreign diplomats to address Cuba's fuel shortages, shortages she blamed squarely on American policy.

Jayapal has also called for lifting the U.S. embargo, removing Cuba from the State Sponsor of Terrorism list, and backed legislation to block potential U.S. military action against the country.

White House spokesperson Olivia Wales did not mince words in her response to Fox News Digital:
"The Democrats continue to show Americans who they really are, the America Last party who sip margaritas with terrorists, advocate for illegal alien criminals, and undermine the United States to aid a failed, communist regime."

Secretary of State addresses Cuba's Communism

Rubio’s Brutal Reply Sums Up Communism

Marco Rubio is showing a different side as Secretary of State. Short. Sharp. Unwilling to dance around the obvious.

He’s out there defending clear policy. He’s backing President Donald Trump’s stance. And he’s not sugarcoating how dangerous communist regimes are for investment and freedom.

When a reporter pressed him on Cuba, the exchange was tight and brutal. The reporter asked, “Mr. Secretary, on Cuba, two questions. So for decades you have been a proponent of regime change, but now there seems to be a sense that perhaps President Trump would be happy with a win which would only entail an economic deal,” the reporter asked.

Rubio didn’t flinch. He shot back, “You said there’s a sense. Where do you get that sense from?”

Then the follow-up: “Do you still want regime change or would you be okay with an economic deal?”

Rubio’s response was plain and powerful. He laid out the logic in a way anyone can follow. He said, “What do you mean an economic deal? Look, Cuba’s economy needs to change, and their economy can’t change unless their system of government changes. It’s that simple.

Who’s going to invest billions of dollars in a communist country? Who’s going to invest billions of dollars in a communist country run by incompetent communists, which is even worse than communists. The only thing worse than a communist is an incompetent communist.”

Cuba negotiating

Cuba Is Negotiating Deal With US, Trump Says

‘I would think a deal would be made very easily with Cuba,’ Trump said.

Speaking at his Shield of the Americas gathering of Latin American leaders in Miami, Trump said Cuba is “at the end of the line” because Venezuela cut off oil deliveries after the U.S. capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

“As we achieve a historic transformation in Venezuela, we’re also looking forward to the great change that will soon be coming to Cuba,” Trump said. “They have no money. They have no oil. They have a bad philosophy. They have a bad regime that’s been bad for a long time.”

The president said Cuba is currently negotiating with himself, Rubio, and “some others.” Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez responded to Trump at the time by saying on X that his nation was “ready to defend the Homeland to the last drop of blood.”

Liberty

Cubans ransack, set fire at Communist Party headquarters

'The people do not want continuity, they want LIBERTY'

Protesters ransacked and set fire outside a local Communist Party headquarters in Morón, Cuba early Saturday morning, videos posted to social media show.

Citizens of the north-central Cuban city protested rampant blackouts as well as energy and food shortages under the leadership of communist President Miguel Díaz-Canel. Protestors threw rocks at a government building's windows and set its furniture ablaze in the street amid chants of, "Liberty!"

Reuters reported. Authorities stated they arrested five participants of an anti-communist demonstration as state-run media reported an investigation into "vandalism acts" was launched, according to The Associated Press (AP).

In a video, a crowd of people appears to loudly cheer and make noise with percussive instruments as a large fire burns outside the headquarters's entrance.

Russia lands a military plane in Cuba

Russian Military Plane Lands In Cuba As Trump Declares National Emergency

A sanctioned Russian military cargo plane landed Sunday night at a Cuban military airfield outside Havana, raising fresh concerns in Washington as President Donald Trump sharply escalates pressure on the communist government in Cuba.

The aircraft — an Ilyushin Il-76 heavy transport jet operated by Russian state-linked airline Aviacon Zitotrans — touched down at San Antonio de los Baños Airfield, a Cuban military installation roughly 30 miles south of the capital, according to public flight-tracking data. The Il-76 is commonly used to move military equipment and personnel and has been scrutinized by U.S. officials in past operations.

Flight records show the plane traveled through St. Petersburg and Sochi in Russia, Mauritania, and the Dominican Republic before arriving in Cuba. Each stop would have required authorization from host governments, highlighting which countries continue to permit Russian military-linked aircraft to operate despite Western sanctions.

The United States provides significant foreign aid to the Dominican Republic, totaling approximately $92 million to $104 million annually in recent fiscal years. Who can you trust?

A lot of us can remember the Cuban missile crisis when Kennedy was president...pretty scary time. The October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis was a 13-day, direct confrontation between the U.S. and Soviet Union, marking the closest the Cold War came to nuclear war. Following the failed Bay of Pigs invasion and U.S. missile deployment in Turkey, the USSR installed nuclear weapons in Cuba. President Kennedy enacted a naval "quarantine," leading to a tense standoff.

So, Putin is up to the Soviet Union's old tricks.

Trump might make a deal with Cuba

US May Make a Deal on Cuba, Trump Says

President Donald Trump said the United States was beginning to talk with Cuban leaders as his administration puts greater pressure on the communist-run island and cuts off key oil supplies.

He made the comment to reporters on Saturday night as he was flying to Florida. It comes in the wake of his moves in recent weeks to cut off supplies of oil from Venezuela and Mexico, which he suggested Saturday would force Cuba to the negotiating table.

His goals with Cuba remain unclear, but Trump has turned more of his attention toward the island after his administration in early January captured Venezuela’s then-President Nicolás Maduro and has been more aggressive in confronting nations that are adversaries of the U.S.

Trump has predicted that the Cuban government is ready to fall.

Cuba now in an untenable situation

Trump suggests he wants Marco Rubio leading Cuba and urges deal with U.S.

President Trump dropped a notable statement on Sunday, January 11, 2026, addressing Cuba’s future and the shifting dynamics with Venezuela.

Just The News reported that Trump discussed the long-standing financial and oil support Cuba received from Venezuela, the end of that relationship due to recent U.S. military actions, and the possibility of Secretary of State Marco Rubio leading Cuba, while pressing the Cuban regime to negotiate with the United States before time runs out.

Let’s unpack this. Trump’s remarks highlight a seismic shift in the region, with Venezuela no longer funneling resources to Cuba after a U.S. military operation last week altered the landscape. Cuba, for years, leaned heavily on Venezuelan oil and cash, offering security services to past regimes in return. That arrangement, Trump noted, has now collapsed.

Ultimately, Trump’s message is clear—Cuba must pivot, and fast, or risk being left behind in a rapidly changing geopolitical game. His blend of pressure and possibility offers a glimpse at a future where America holds the cards.

Havana might just have to play by new rules and Trump threw in Marco Rubio, a Cuban American, as a teaser to lead Cuba.

Homeland Security and FBI doing their jobs

Former Cuban intelligence official accused of fraud in US

A former Cuban intelligence figure has been apprehended by U.S. authorities for allegedly acquiring American residency through fraudulent means.

The arrest has underscored the growing unease over the influx of former officials from Cuba's communist regime entering the United States through various immigration channels, as Breitbart reports.

The announcement came from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), who, in collaboration with the FBI, took the suspect into custody in West Park, Broward County.

Notably, the identity of the individual arrested has not been made public, keeping the operation shrouded in partial secrecy.

As the story develops, the public, along with law enforcement, remains alert to further revelations or developments concerning individuals who might compromise national security. It is a topic with significant political and social ramifications, which will likely continue to unfold in the coming months.

Illegals just keep coming thanks to Biden/Harris

Biden administration to restart immigration program that was paused over fraud concerns

Biden/Harris restarting this program although half or more of the population disagrees

Homeland Security said the program for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans will resume with stronger vetting, but no issues have been found with people already admitted to the U.S.

The Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday it will resume issuing travel authorization to migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela who apply to come to the United States with the help of a sponsor.

The program had been paused in July after an internal report found that more than 100,000 applicants for the program were supported by just over 3,200 U.S.-based sponsors whom the report identified as “serial sponsors.” Those applications were red-flagged for potential fraud, and critics of the program said the large numbers of migrants sponsored by just a few individuals could point to human trafficking.

And who is paying for these flights? You, the American citizen of course.

A DHS official also told NBC News that sponsors must show they can financially support the number of immigrants they are sponsoring and “serial filers who do not meet these qualifications or otherwise appear to be exploiting or abusing the process will be non-confirmed.”

The official added that any sponsors who have asked for payment from immigrants to be sponsored will be referred to law enforcement for potential prosecution.

Within weeks of the program’s beginning in January 2023, concerns were raised in an Associated Press article about potential sponsors advertising online that they would be willing to sell their services as sponsors to migrants in Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.

Fraud prevails in just about anything involving Democrats.

We know about their "vetting"--it doesn't exist. More than 330,000 Venezuelans crossed the U.S. border last year, according to Customs and Border Protection data, and Venezuela, like Cuba, China and a handful of other countries, doesn’t provide any criminal history information to U.S. officials.

So, Biden/Harris is flying them in and going around border control. There is no vetting from these countries, and some won't even help us on criminal backgrounds. And we're having problems with Venezuelan gangs.

As former Border Patrol agent Ammon Blair told NBC News, unless agents get a Venezuelan migrant’s criminal history from Interpol or “they already have a criminal record inside the United States, we won’t know who they are.”

The NYPD calls them “ghost criminals,” with little to identify them except gang tattoos.

Chinese Warships off coast of Alaska and Russian Warships in Cuba

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is pushing for a new global order under its control. The push for a new international power structure came to the forefront after a meeting between CCP leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin during a gathering of leaders from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

They now aim to create an alternative global security alliance, along with a new push for a “multipolar world” where the United States would no longer be the world leader.

Multiple Chinese warships were spotted off the coast of Alaska by the U.S. Coast Guard. The ship sightings come just a week after the Chinese navy began its annual joint patrol with the Russian navy in the Pacific Ocean. Following a report saying Russia is adapting to U.S. arms in Ukraine, retired Col. Bob Hamilton says it’s a “natural process in warfare.”

Wow...And a group of Russian Navy ships, including a nuclear-powered submarine, arrived in Cuba in a sign of strengthening ties between the two Cold War allies.

Russian frigate Admiral Gorshkov – the first of a four-ship convoy – fired a 21-gun salute after entering Havana harbor, which was answered by the Cubans with cannon fire from an 18th-century colonial fort built by the Spanish to guard the port.

The Gorshkov is one of the Russian Navy’s most modern ships, and was followed by the nuclear-powered submarine Kazan, a rescue tug, and an oil tanker.

Our government has been silent.

Strategic Global Chess Move: Naval Manuevers Off The Coast of Cuba

US Navy Dispatches Destroyers To Monitor Russian Naval Flotilla Near Florida

"Tensions rise as the US Navy tracks Russian military vessels near American waters.

Daily Mail reported that the US deployed three destroyers and a submarine reconnaissance aircraft to monitor a Russian nuclear submarine and warship equipped with hypersonic weapons near American shores.

In a tense show of naval power, Russian warships equipped with advanced military technology passed just 25 miles from the South Florida coast, prompting the US Navy to initiate a tracking and surveillance mission.

The operation includes several key assets: the destroyers USS Truxtun, USS Donald Cook, and USS Delbert D. Black, alongside a submarine reconnaissance aircraft.

Their mission is to closely monitor the Russian flotilla led by Admiral Gorshkov, a frigate known for carrying Zircon hypersonic missiles."

Russian Warships in Cuba

Russian Warships Head to Cuba

Three Russian Navy ships and a nuclear-powered submarine passed 90 miles off Florida's Atlantic coast on Tuesday on the way to Cuba for a military exercise, according to analysts.

U.S. officials say they didn't see the arrival as threatening,(who the hell are they kidding?) but the U.S. Navy is “shadowing” the Russian flotilla as it begins military exercises today.

The Russian flotilla, equipped with Zircon hypersonic missiles, was monitored by a NATO ‘Poseidon’ anti-submarine aircraft from Norway to Cuba.

U.S. officials say the exercise is a response to increased NATO commitments to Ukraine and comes as tensions rise between the U.S. and Russia. [flyoverflorida]

Chinese nationals entering our country

Cuba is trying to infiltrate Chinese nationals into the US by sea

China is building the infrastructure to attack us from our own soil,

said Gordon G. Chang (@GordonGChang) October 29, 2023 on X

In a surprising development, U.S. Rep. Carlos Gimenez, a prominent Republican lawmaker representing the Florida Keys, has raised concerns about an alleged partnership between China and Cuba.

According to Gimenez, these two communist nations have purportedly joined forces to facilitate the transportation of Chinese nationals across the treacherous Straits of Florida in the Atlantic Ocean, with the apparent intent of smuggling them into the United States. This revelation comes shortly after the apprehension of 17 Chinese nationals within Gimenez’s congressional district.

We are only 100 miles from Cuba and earlier this year, reports emerged about a covert agreement between China and Cuba to establish an electronic eavesdropping base in Cuba.

The only thing that we all know, under Joe Biden, our country is NOT safe.

China rapidly closing in on the United States

Chinese Military Sending Troops Right Off Florida Coast

"Earlier this week, the Biden regime (Blinken) announced that they would not intervene if China decided to invade Taiwan. It has been reported by The Wall Street Journal that China and Cuba are in talks to establish a joint training facility on the island, which is just 90 miles south of Florida. This would mean that Chinese forces could potentially be stationed very close to the United States.

And now we have 400,000 of Chinese male "migrants" who have crossed our border.

According to a report from the Journal, the talks between the US and Cuba are ongoing, but there hasn’t been a conclusion yet. The Biden administration has only made an attempt to persuade Cuba to consider the potential implications of making a deal with China on their national sovereignty. However, it is unlikely that Cuba would take this seriously, and the US can only hope that China will change its stance.

Retired General Jack Keane said that "China does have a military advantage. They have more ships, more airplanes, more offensive and defensive missiles than the United States has."

When one combines these advantages with a Chinese training facility at America’s doorstep that serve as an invasion launch point, one could argue we might soon be speaking Chinese if the Biden regime remains in power for another term.

The only remaining question is will the Biden Crime Family turn another profit after handing America over to our most dangerous foe. Source: PatriotClash

Biden Yawns As China Allegedly Builds Spy Facility In Cuba

As Joe Biden sleeps, China to build spy facility in Cuba

I can't mention this enough

As American media focuses on the latest indictment of Trump and the White House bumbles around charges that the president took a bribe from Ukrainians, China continues to make moves that undermine American national security.

In the 1960s, the communists from the Soviet Union placed nuclear warheads on Cuba to threaten the United States. In 2023, the communists from China have begun building a facility on the island that shows the capability of intercepting communications and monitoring American military and commercial capacities.

The New York Times reports, “Beijing has built listening outposts elsewhere and has a military presence in Cuba, but an eavesdropping station could give China a foothold about 100 miles from the Florida coastline, from which it could potentially conduct surveillance operations against the United States. [newconservativepost]

So what is Sleepy going to do about it? He totally ignored the Chinese spy balloons. The fake news media has not covered it.

China to set up Spy Base in Cuba

China To Set Up Secret Spy Base On America’s Doorstep

China has laid plans to open an eavesdropping outpost in Cuba, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing U.S. officials familiar with the highly classified intelligence.

The spy base will focus on intercepting electronic communications, or signals intelligence, from U.S. networks throughout the southeastern U.S. and reflects a brazen challenge to U.S. sovereignty, the WSJ reported, citing the officials. China offered Cuba several billion dollars to host the spy base and the two countries have agreed in principle, according to the outlet.

Officials said the Biden administration was alarmed when it discovered the informal deal (I would guess he was alarmed as the only thing he thinks about is where he will get his next ice cream cone), according to the WSJ.

Establishing the signals intelligence operating base in Cuba would give the U.S.’ greatest military and political rival unprecedented access to sources of information about the U.S. Beijing could use to circumvent America’s interests.

30,000 illegals a month for two years from four countries

Biden Administration Announces Effort to Secure Border, Expand Parole Program

Yesterday, President Joe Biden announced steps that would improve border security and help slow illegal immigration while helping migrants obtain legal status in the United States.

The administration is expanding a parole program that was restricted to Venezuelans to would-be immigrants from three other countries. People from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Haiti are now eligible to apply for legal status for two years, provided they find a sponsor inside the United States and pass a background check.

Under U.S. immigration law, the secretary of homeland security may grant parole to individuals who’d otherwise be illegal in the United States. The program, launched in October 2022, leveraged that power to thousands of Venezuelans.

Up to 30,000 people per month from the four countries who are paroled can come to the United States for two years and be allowed to work. They’re required to legally enter the United States and aren’t permitted to go to Mexico or Panama without authorization while their application is weighed.
