Restoring a pipeline system vital to our national security and defense

Trump Administration Invokes Defense Production Act to Restart Offshore Oil Operations in California

Energy Secretary Chris Wright on Friday directed Sable Offshore Corp. to restore operations at the Santa Ynez Unit and the Santa Ynez Pipeline System off the coast of Santa Barbara, invoking the Defense Production Act to force the restart of shuttered offshore oil production in a state that has spent decades trying to kill it.

The order marks a direct challenge to California's anti-energy regulatory regime and sets up an inevitable legal collision with Gov. Gavin Newsom, who wasted no time calling the move "reckless and illegal."

According to Fox Business, the Department of Energy laid out the national security rationale in blunt terms:
"California once supplied nearly 40 percent of U.S. oil production, but decades of radical state policies targeting reliable energy sources have driven a decline in domestic output while fuel demand remains among the highest in the nation."
Today, more than 60 percent of the oil refined in California comes from overseas, with a significant share traveling through the Strait of Hormuz. That is not an energy policy. That is a vulnerability.

A state that once supplied nearly 40 percent of American oil production now cannot fuel itself without routing tankers through waters patrolled by the Iranian navy.

China and Democrats against our new EPA emissions rule

EPA Repeals Biden-Era Power Plant Emissions Rule as China and Senate Democrats Both Push to Keep It

The Environmental Protection Agency announced Friday that it is repealing Biden-era amendments to the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards, rolling back 2024 regulations that the Trump administration argues would have strangled America's coal sector. The repeal will save an estimated $670 million.

The earlier MATS rules, including the original 2012 rule and the 2020 Trump EPA rule that reaffirmed it, will remain in place. EPA Deputy Administrator David Fotouhi said in a statement that those existing standards are "fully protective of human health risks."

What makes this story remarkable isn't the policy itself. It's who lined up against it.

According to the Daily Caller, on Aug. 11, 2025, the People's Republic of China submitted a public comment to the EPA opposing the repeal. Beijing's government told American regulators, in writing, that it wanted the Biden-era restrictions kept in place.

When Beijing objects to a deregulatory action that benefits American energy producers, the policy is probably working.

DOE Ensuring Responsibility for Financial Assistance

DOE Cancels $3.7 Billion in Biden-Era Green Energy Awards

The cancellations are part of a wider rollback of climate-focused and DEI-related programs enacted under the Biden administration

The Department of Energy has canceled 24 clean energy demonstration projects worth nearly $3.7 billion, citing concerns over financial viability, insufficient return on taxpayer investment, and a failure to meet the energy needs of Americans.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced the decision on May 30, describing the awards as hastily approved in the final days of the Biden administration and misaligned with the Trump administration’s energy and economic priorities.

The cancellations come after an internal review ordered earlier this month under a new departmental policy aimed at increasing accountability and rooting out waste in federally funded energy programs.

Sixteen of the 24 awards were signed between Election Day 2024 and Inauguration Day 2025.

In two cases, the inspector general said DOE had already canceled nearly $400 million in grants awarded to entities with suspected ties to foreign adversaries.

Last-Minute Biden-Era Loans - Department of Energy

Sen. Kennedy Stunned by Biden’s $93 Billion Loan Rush

Hold onto your wallets, folks—Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) just dropped a bombshell about a staggering $93 billion in taxpayer-funded loans rushed out the door by the Department of Energy in a mere 76 days.

According to Breitbart, during a heated Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on Wednesday, Kennedy grilled U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright over an eyebrow-raising spree of loans and commitments made between President Donald Trump’s election and former President Joe Biden’s exit from office.

“And during that short period of time, 76 days, how much taxpayer money went out the door?” Kennedy pressed. Well, Wright’s answer didn’t exactly inspire confidence: a jaw-dropping $93 billion, more than double what the department shelled out over the previous 15 years combined. If that doesn’t scream “fire sale,” what does?

“In Washington, common sense is illegal,” says Senator Kennedy.

Lake Worth Utility Gets a Bundle!

LAKE WORTH BEACH ELECTRIC UTILITY TO RECEIVE $23,462,167

On October 18, 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) selected Lake Worth Beach Electric Utility to receive $23,462,167 to enhance the U.S. power grid's ability to deliver affordable, clean energy to American communities across Lake Worth Beach and surrounding communities.

The funds will advance the ongoing System Hardening and Reliability Improvement Project (SHRIP) which is already reducing outages and providing more stable service to customers of Lake Worth Beach Electric Utility.

I wish I could tell you that it's a joke!

Biden admin's latest home appliance crackdown: ceiling fans

Department of Energy wants ceiling fans to be more energy efficient

Ceiling fans are now the latest target in the Biden administration's green agenda, sparking pushback from Republicans and manufacturers.

The Department of Energy is proposing a rule that would require ceiling fans to be more energy efficient, arguing the move would save U.S. households on energy costs.

According to the Energy Department's analysis, the new rules would save households about $39 over the lifespan of the new energy-efficient fan. However, the cost to manufacturers associated with the increased equipment will total $86.6 million per year, the department said.

The Energy Department has been on the warpath to impose more stringent regulations on household appliances for the past several months, proposing new standards for gas stoves, ovens, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, dishwashers and other essentials as part of its mission to advance energy efficiency and conservation.

The Biden administration is doing everything feasibly possible to ruin small businesses as well as to make things more expensive for the American consumer.

Even Light Bulbs are Political!

Biden Begins Enforcing Light Bulb Ban

The Department of Energy (DOE) is moving ahead with regulations that will ban popular incandescent and similar halogen light bulbs from being sold in the United States, a move that has been met with fierce criticism from Republicans.

A nationwide ban will be enforced, preventing retailers and manufacturers from selling traditional bulbs and instead requiring them to sell energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) alternatives.

“It’s impossible for Democrats to leave us alone," Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., tweeted in response to the Biden administration's enforcement of the rules. "States must fight back.”

The move comes four months after the DOE finalized its regulations in April, and reverses a Trump administration rule that sought to protect incandescent light bulbs and afford consumers the freedom to choose what kinds of products they want to purchase.

The Gas Stove Hoax and it will cost ya!

Government forcing us to buy Gas Stoves to save Energy.

How Much Biden’s Gas Stove Ban Would “Save” You Is Absolutely Laughable…

Do you recall the crackdown on gas stoves that Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm has long argued is required to help the American people save energy and money? The Department of Energy, however, recently changed its estimates for the precise amount the typical American would save under new regulations, which would essentially remove nearly 50% of gas stoves from the market.

By giving up their gas stoves, people may save nine cents per month under “Bidenomics.” Therefore, over the following ten years, you would save a little under $11.

This lesson actually serves as yet another excellent illustration of why it’s wise to challenge the opinions of experts, despite the Biden administration’s advice to the contrary.

War on Appliances Continues

Biden Administration Announces Crackdown on Another Appliance

After eyeing gas stoves, the Biden administration is enacting new regulations on air conditioners.

The federal government announced new environmental standards on air conditioners on Thursday, according to Fox News. Biden has also cracked down on refrigerators and washers.

The standards will distinguish between window units and portable air cleaners. The rules for the latter will take effect in 2024, with standards for window units slated for 2026.
