Today's Democrat Party unreconizable

A party that moved past its elder statesmen

Clinton's milestone arrives at a moment when the Democratic Party he helped build looks almost nothing like the one he led. The centrist, business-friendly "New Democrat" brand that carried him to two terms has given way to an activist base that treats his legacy with ambivalence at best.

Clinton himself has acknowledged the tension. He once shrugged off the socialist surge in New York and insisted Democrats were "in good shape", a characterization that even sympathetic observers found generous given the party's internal fractures.

Those fractures have only widened. Figures from media commentators to Senate candidates have openly questioned whether the party's leftward drift has become a structural problem. Bill Maher declared Democrats were being "colonized" by socialists, and candidates in competitive races have echoed progressive rhetoric that would have been unrecognizable in the Clinton era.

Clinton's birthday leaves just one living current or former president under 80: Barack Obama, who turned 65 earlier in August. The other four, Joe Biden at 83, President Donald Trump and George W. Bush both at 80, have all crossed the threshold within weeks of one another, USA TODAY reported.

Jimmy Carter set the longevity record at 100 years and 89 days

Clinton and his fellow octogenarians have a long way to go before they approach the presidential longevity record. Jimmy Carter, who died in late 2024, lived to 100 years and 89 days, the longest-lived president in American history. George H.W. Bush came second at 94 years and 171 days. Gerald Ford was third at 93 years and 165 days.

Islamic marriages

Different marriage to make the point

Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed set to share stage with Pakistani cleric who admitted marrying off his 13-year-old niece

Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for Michigan's U.S. Senate seat, is scheduled to headline an Islamic convention in Detroit that also features a Pakistani cleric who admitted arranging the marriage of his teenage niece, and whose anti-Jewish rhetoric prompted Canadian activists to seek a visa ban.

El-Sayed is listed on the convention itinerary for the Islamic Society of North America's 63rd annual gathering, set for September 4, 7 in Detroit. His panel, titled "Cultivating God Awareness in a Turmoiled America," is scheduled for September 5.

Also on the convention roster: Tariq Masood, a Pakistani mufti, a cleric qualified to issue religious rulings, who in a 2021 sermon admitted to the marriage of his 13-year-old niece, according to multiple Pakistani media reports cited by the Washington Free Beacon.

El-Sayed's campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

The convention lineup raises pointed questions for a candidate who has built his national profile partly by attacking President Trump and Republicans as "pedophile protectors" over the handling of Jeffrey Epstein-related files.

El-Sayed is now set to appear at the same event as a cleric whose recorded statements about child marriage were so alarming that Canadian activists in 2024 urged their government to block Masood's visa, citing what they called his "pedophilic rhetoric."

Nearly 300,000 minors — the vast majority of them girls — were legally married in the United States between 2000 and 2018, the year statehouses finally began taking action.

Child marriage, defined as any marriage where at least one of the parties is under the age of 18, was legal in all 50 states until then. Seventeen states have since passed bans to end the practice.

Younger Dems want new younger leadership

Top Democrat threw Nancy Pelosi under the bus

"In a recent legislative battle, a House Democrat did not hesitate to betray Nancy Pelosi amid the Democrat Party’s continued fracturing following crushing Election Day defeat.

House Republicans have adopted term limits for how long someone can hold a lead role on a committee.

The system permits new and fresh faces to have the opportunity to oversee each committee while preventing overly entrenched incumbents from obtaining far too much power and influence.

During House leadership elections, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attempted to be elected as the ranking Democrat for the powerful House Oversight Committee. If selected for the role, she would have been lined up to become the Chairwoman of the committee the next time the Democrat Party took majority in the House.

Her opposing candidate for the committee role was Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA), – an establishment Democrat. According to Punchbowl News, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had been working behind closed doors to shill for Connolly while “actively working to tank” AOC’s bid."

Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), age 44, was furious and condemned Pelosi, age 85, and her own party for not getting younger blood and for backing Gerry Connelly, age 74.

Reporters magically discovering the truth

Meghan McCain just laid waste to a CNN reporter for his crime that could have cost Trump everything

The so-called mainstream media are collapsing

That’s why their constant stream of negative Donald Trump stories could not keep him out of the White House.

Donald Trump’s popular vote victory on November 5 completely changed the media landscape. It became possible to ignore that the so-called mainstream media were not representative of the majority.

Suddenly, some in the media have pivoted and are now being more measured in their coverage of politics. For example, now members of the media are coming clean about Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline.

Meghan McCain had one of the most brutal takedowns of Former CNN contributor Chris Cillizza. Meghan McCain just laid waste to him for his crime that could have cost Trump everything.

She declared that “there was no bigger and more obsessive ‘McCain truther’ regarding my dad’s age when he ran in 2008 [when he was 71 mind you] than Chris. . .He ignored Biden because he’s a hack.”

Fetterman has a problem with Pelosi's age

Fetterman suggests that octogenarian Pelosi needs to go, make way for someone younger

U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) continues to impress with his willingness to defy his party’s orthodoxy and has now openly suggested that it’s time for octogenarian former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to retire.

The 84-year-old engineer of the overthrow of presumptive nominee Joe Biden that ultimately led to a landslide loss for Democrats, Pelosi has reportedly already filed a statement of candidacy to run for reelection in 2026 for what would be her 21st term in Congress.

In brutally frank remarks in which he skewered her for the ouster of Biden, the old-school liberal also pointed out Pelosi’s selfishness for continuing to hog a House seat instead of making way for the younger generation.

It's not the age; its what's between the ears

Dems, Media Tried To Paint Trump As Too Old For Job After Covering For Biden — But Voters Aren’t Buying It

Democrats and various media publications have tried to depict former President Donald Trump as too old to be president again, but polling data indicates that voters are not persuaded by that line of attack.

Numerous corporate media outlets also ran stories or columns on Trump’s supposed exhaustion, including Politico, The Washington Post, Axios, New York Magazine, USA Today and Newsweek, among others.

Notably, political journalist Mark Halperin — widely regarded as one of the most deeply-sourced journalists in America — recently told Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson that White House reporters for major corporate news organizations mentioned to him that they were aware of Biden’s cognitive decline, but their companies would not cover the issue aggressively despite its obvious significance.

While voters do not seem to be moved by the Democrats’ messaging push about Trump’s age, the electorate had concerns about Biden’s acuity even before the disastrous debate that led to the end of his reelection campaign.

Joe Biden Time Lapse

Not sure there is anything unusual about aging over this amount of years...happens to all of us. Just ask me. It's just interesting how we're all so beutiful when we're young.

Monday, July 8, 2024

Hell no, I'm in great shape!

The Biden reelection theme is that the nation needs good old “lunch bucket” Joe Biden to continue to lead the nation. But that is no longer an option. That Joe Biden will never again serve in the Oval Office because that Joe Biden no longer exists.

The question before voters is whether they want the Joe Biden they saw on the stage – or even worse, the Joe Biden that will inevitably be in significantly worse condition in future years — as the leader of the free world.

Crooked Hillary on Biden's age

For years now, the Democratic Party has been marred with corruption and scandal, and now they’ve put forward a candidate who cannot possibly run for president again in 2024.

It seems that Clinton has made her answer to this rhetorical question quite clear, telling Financial Times last Sunday that “His age is an issue and people have every right to consider it.” To many Americans, this is a clear indication that Mrs. Clinton believes Biden isn’t fit to run for office in 2024.

"His age is an issue," says Hillary

80 is not the new 50 for Joe

On Wednesday, Quinnipiac University released the results of a poll of 1,616 registered voters conducted between May 18-22, with a margin of error of 2.4 percent, and among a variety of things asked if President Biden's was "too old to effectively serve" another four-year term in office.

Among registered voters, 65 percent said "Yes," including 90 percent of Republicans, 69 percent of independents, and even 41 percent of Democrats.

On May 6, an ABC News/Washington Post survey of 1,006 adults between April 28-May 3, with a margin of error of 3.5 percent, found that 68 percent of all Americans thought Biden was too old to continue serving, including 79 percent of Republicans, 75 percent of independents, and even 48 percent of Democrats.

"Help, I can't get up!

I tried this on a carpeted floor which is more challenging than a solid surface tiled floor. The hardest part was staying totally still for nearly 9 minutes (it was the carpet for me whereas Nancy, wearing kente cloth, blamed it on her shoes). I had no problem getting up!

Time for Term Limits! And let's not have any more excuses to kneel in the first place.
