Airbnb boss dumped Dems over border crisis — couldn’t back party that ‘lets in criminals and dangerous people’

Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia has revealed he ditched the Democrats to back President Trump after realizing the US border crisis was spiraling out of control — insisting he could no longer support a party that “lets in criminals and dangerous people into our country.”

The tech billionaire was a lifelong Dem — until around 2021, when he started shifting towards the Republican party because of his concern at the lack of immigration enforcement under then-President Joe Biden.

“I remember just being like, ‘Holy cow, this is crazy,’” Gebbia told the Katie Miller Podcast on Monday.

After reaching out to his friend, Jared Kushner, for help piecing together what he was missing, Gebbia said he “started to pull on that thread” on other concerns.

Gebbia said his friendships with current Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Elon Musk also served as gateways to his embracing Trump.

A select group of Airbnb hosts in Washington, D.C. is attempting to make a political statement during President-elect Donald J. Trump's upcoming inauguration by either pulling their listings temporarily or raising their rental prices, with plans to donate the increased revenue to liberal organizations.

According to The National Pulse, in response to President-elect Donald J. Trump’s impending inauguration, a movement led by Airbnb host Stacy Kane aims to disrupt accommodation availability in Washington, D.C.

This form of protest is coordinated by Stacy Kane, a D.C. resident who manages a two-bedroom apartment in the Brookland neighborhood. Kane has decided not only to remove her property from Airbnb but to offer her space directly to protesters for the duration of the inauguration events.

A Lake Worth man battered his cheating wife's lover with an aluminum bat after catching them together in an Airbnb, according to police.

John Dimmig, 33, is accused of assaulting a man at an Airbnb rental in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. Dimmig is charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and burglary with battery.
