One Liberal Democrat Is Willing To Vote For Trump's Border Compromise

One hard-core liberal, Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA), said she was willing to vote for a package that granted protections to DACA recipients, while providing funding for a wall. Of course she didn't say how much money or how long of a wall.

I will believe a Democrat when I see the vote. Until then, this is meaningless. They want it all for illegals already here but are not willing to give anything to keep illegals out. They would much rather shut down our government than to give an inch.

House Appropriations Committee decisions

So much for Republican promises of making decisions that put American workers first.

The House Appropriations Committee has voted to use taxpayers' dollars to pay the salaries of illegal aliens who the committee decided should be able to compete with Americans for federal jobs. With the work-force participation rate for American millennials remaining abysmally low, the chance of landing a job with the government would be made still more difficult by the Republican-led committee's decision to make them compete with the some 800,000 young-adult recipients of the unconstitutional executive DACA amnesty. Also in the bill:

ObamaCare – The bill includes provisions to stop the IRS from implementing an individual insurance mandate on the American people. The bill also includes a provision prohibiting funds to pay for an abortion or the administrative expenses in connection with a multi-state qualified health plan, with certain exceptions.
Other Legislative Provisions – The legislation contains several policy provisions, including:

• A prohibition against the use of funds for abortion in the Federal Employee Health Benefits program;
• A prohibition on funding to require that entities applying for or conducting work under federal contracts disclose campaign contributions;
• Two provisions related to Cuba: a prohibition on the importation of property confiscated by the Cuban Government, and a prohibition on funds to approve the licensing of a mark, trade name, or commercial name that was confiscated by the Cuban Government without express consent;
• A prohibition on funding for Treasury to implement a policy limiting the U.S. position on multilateral development banks engaging with developing countries on coal-fired power generation when the policy would limit exports or reduce U.S. jobs.
• Maintains the six-day mail delivery requirement for the Postal Service.
• Prohibits funds for the implementation of the Executive Order Establishing a Federal Flood Risk Management Standard.
• A prohibition related to the Federal Election Commission’s prior approval requirement for corporate trade member association PACs.

This bill would overturn the 2014 bill that allowed in-state tuition for some undocumented immigrant students who have been enrolled in the Florida school system for three years before graduating from high school.

Lindsey Graham still can't get over it. In 2015, he was knocked out of the debates and left in the cold. In January this year, he endorsed Jeb Bush, who, as we all know, was also left in the cold for being "low energy."

Now he's bitching about Trump and illegal aliens, specifically the "Dreamers." He doesn't want Trump to undue the Deferred Action For Childhhood Arrivals (DACA) where Obama gave these kids legal status by Executive Order.

Although Trump has said that he will overturn every Obama executive order, he has only said that for now he will deport illegal criminals.

Lindsey Graham, who is considered a RINO, needs to calm down right along with all the others who constantly complain and protest for not winning the election and continue to demonize the President Elect.

Marco Rubio might be "curtains;" I have always liked him too. Jeb Bush is very possibly "curtains" with all that love stuff.  These guys shouldn't even think about running for president of the United States unless they come up with a different message that someone might believe regarding illegal immigration. And Rick Scott should have read what the conservative majority thinks about illegal immigration.

In 2008, Florida's illegal immigrant population of an estimated 950,000 persons costs state taxpayers more than $3.8 billion per year. The $3.8 billion annual price tag covers only the costs of K-12 education, medical care and incarceration of illegal aliens who have committed other crimes in Florida. According to the latest analysis by FAIR, the costs to Floridians more than doubled between 2005 and 2008. The data in this study clearly establish that the fiscal burden on Floridians like the size of the illegal alien population has been rising rapidly. The outlay of $3.8 billion annually translates into a fiscal burden of about $678 for each Florida household headed by a native-born resident.

But then we get into college state tuition for "Dreamers." According to Examinor.com, the cost to the U.S. taxpayer to subsidize the tuition of the approximately 1.23 million illegal aliens who would benefit from the DREAM Act over the first two years of its enactment, would be $19,207,500,000.

Although Obama says he deports around 400,000 illegals every year, the facts state that of the 12 million undocumented immigrants living in the country, fewer than 70,000 who have led generally peaceful lives here were deported last year."  For those doing the math, that works out to about .00583 percent says Numbers USA. 

There has to be consequences for illegal acts and where it's felt is in the wallet. That wallet should be theirs, not ours.

When Crist was the Republican governor from 2007 to 2011, he opposed in-state tuition for the students known as Dreamers, who were brought to this country where they were young and have gone through U.S. schools and consider themselves as American as people born in the country. So far, I can't get past page three of the PB Post.  The latest is that Illinois has now given ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS permission to drive, allowing them to have driver's licenses, a privilege in most states across the country. They say it is a safety measure, another burrowing its head in the sand policy measure.

The ONLY public safety measure is and always has been is to tighten our borders and get tougher with criminals--not give them the privilege of driving a car.  Illinois, the home of jailed  Rod Blagojevich who is the fourth Illinois governor jailed in four decades is almost as "progressive" and bankrupt as California and a state that passed its own Dream Act in 2010. What can you expect from a liberal state that preened community organizer Barack Obama for higher office.

For years, the state has spent beyond its means and ignored its unpaid bills and obligations. Its mantra:  We don't have the money; we won't worry about it; we just won't pay what we owe. In  FY2011, Illinois faced a projected budget deficit of $14-15 Billion and total debt of around $160 Billion. Most of the debt - $130 Billion, is related to public sector retirement programs.

When President Barack Obama retires, he will receive an estimated lifetime total payout $383,535 from the Illinois state pension he earned in eight years as a state lawmaker, according to the Illinois Policy Institute, a conservative-leaning policy organization.

ICE agents have standing says the Judge

Federal District Court Judge Reed O'Conner has ruled that 10 ICE agents and officers have standing to challenge in Federal court the so-called Morton Memo on prosecutorial discretion and the DREAM directive on deferred action.

The agents filed their complaint in October, charging that unconstitutional and illegal directives from DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE Director John Morton order the agents to violate federal laws or face adverse employment actions. This is a major first step for the ICE agents in their case against the administration!

Like the Nevada Senate race, Nelson and Mack could hardly be further away from each other on immigration. For example, Nelson voted for the DREAM Act amnesty in 2010, while Mack opposed it in the House. What separates this seat from Nevada, however, is that the incumbent here is pro-amnesty.

On June 15, 2012, President Barack Obama announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would not deport certain DREAM Act–eligible undocumented youth. Under a directive from the secretary of DHS, these youth will be given a type of temporary permission to stay in the U.S. called “deferred action.” Deferred action will be valid for two years and may be renewed at the end of the two years. Individuals who receive deferred action may apply for and may obtain employment authorization.

As previously mentioned, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department has issued 2,000 identification cards to illegal aliens so that they can open bank accounts and become more "legal." Now the City is allowing the PBSO to use a public building and will have an Information Session at our Shuffleboard Court Building for all those illegals looking to be a part of Obama's Deferred Action. The session will be on October 4 from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

Obama and the Democrats like to tell you that walking across our borders is not an illegal action and they want you to call these people undocumented, not illegal because there is no such thing as "illegal." Illegal immigration is the act of living in a country uninvited and without documentation. However, those people defending the undocumented people give legalese and quote the 14th Amendment which affirms that neither the federal government nor state governments may "deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Journalist with the Huffington Post, Jose Antonio Vargas, an admitted illegal alien, is calling on all news outlets to drop the use of the term “illegal immigrant.” We will see the liberal press following this advice.

We all can recall Arizona SB 1070 when our city commission issued a proclamation against it. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the majority opinion on it saying, “As a general rule, it is not a crime for a movable alien to remain in the United States.” Being in the U.S. without proper documents is a civil offense, not a criminal one, or so we are being told.

Obama is giving certain illegals the documentation that they need.  Illegal aliens are NOT immigrants however those children brought here by their parents, and through no fault of their own, have been given a bad rap. Flavia Franco of Lake Worth learned the news via text message--Obama had given backdoor amnesty to nearly 800,000 illegal immigrants.

Franco, 23, who has been volunteering for years with the Palm Beach Immigrant Coalition and Students Working for Equal Rights, said her 16-year-old brother, who came to the U.S. from Argentina at age 7, was recently told he couldn't join his high school football team because he didn't have a green card.

"There are hundreds of thousands of dreamers like my brother who will benefit now," she said. "Many of them want to study and they want to work and they want to give back what this country has given us."

Sid Dinerstein head of the Palm Beach County Republican Party got it right when he said, "We used to be a country of laws." And Ms. Franco is wrong...it's about what illegal immigrants have taken from this country, not what we have given to them.

What Obama did is probably about as legal as his birth certificate. It is Congress that makes the laws and Obama completely circumvented the legally elected representatives of our country in favor of illegal aliens. Who would have thought...
