Lake Worth City Manager - Carmen Davis

HIGHLIGHTS of Carmen Y. Davis' employment contract

  • BEGIN DATE: December 6, 2021
  • TERM: 3 years which will automatically renew in 1 year increments
  • SALARY: $200,000
  • PERFORMANCE REVIEW: Yearly VACATION LEAVE: 25 days beginning on commencement of employment
  • SICK LEAVE: Normal number that all employees receive plus 5 additional days
  • INSURANCE: Includes spouse and dependents: health, dental, vision
  • RETIREMENT: 10% of her salary will be paid by the city into a 401-k on an annual basis
  • VEHICLE: $500 month
  • DUES & SUBSCRIPTIONS
  • Per DIEM: Work and related travel outside the city
  • RELOCATION EXPENSES: Reimbursement of $2,500 for she and her spouse to visit Lake Worth to find housing. $15,000 in moving expenses SEVERANCE PAY: 20 weeks if terminated without cause

Lake Worth's new City Manager

Carmen Y. Davis

Ms. Davis won out over what was originally 16 candidates narrowed down to four other highly qualified candidates. She has an impressive resume.

EDUCATION:
Master of Business Administration, Wayne State University
Bachelor of Arts, Geography and Urban Planning, Wayne State U.

BACKGROUND:
Chief Operating Officer, Jackson Medical Mall Foundation, Jackson, MS-- 2020-Present
County Administrator, Hinds County, MS-- 2010- 2020
City Planner IV, City Planning Commission/City Council, Detroit, MI--2006-2009
City Planner IV, City Planning Commission/City Council, Detroit, MI--1993-2001

She has applied to other cities for a city manager position. It is unknown at this time when she will begin her new duties in Lake Worth Beach. She has to give notice at her present place of employment and the contract will have to be drawn by Lake Worth's law firm and executed.
