No basis in the Constitution': Supreme Court takes staggering action against U.S. religious freedom

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to take the case involving former Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis, who faces a catastrophe because of a leftist ruling creating same-sex "marriage" across the country by extremists who no longer are on the bench.

It is Kim Davis who now faces $360,000 in penalties for the "hurt feelings" of homosexuals who bypassed other marriage license channels and sought her out to try to force her to publicly violate her Christian faith and issue them a marriage license.

"Davis was jailed, hauled before a jury, and now faces crippling monetary damages based on nothing more than purported hurt feelings," explained Liberty Counsel chief Mat Staver.

So believing marriage as a union between one man and one woman, Davis ceased issuing any marriage licenses from June 29 to early September 2015 while she sought an accommodation for her religious beliefs.

"By denying this petition, the high court has let stand a decision to strip a government defendant of their immunity and any personal First Amendment defense for their religious expression. This cannot be right because government officials do not shed their constitutional rights upon election. Like the abortion decision in Roe v. Wade, Obergefell was egregiously wrong from the start.

"This opinion has no basis in the Constitution. We will continue to work to overturn Obergefell. It is not a matter of if, but when the Supreme Court will overturn Obergefell."

Obergefell v. Hodges, 576 U.S. 644, is a landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court which ruled that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples by both the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution.

Regarding his position(s) on gay marriage, then-Senator Joe Biden voted for the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in 1996.

In 2006 during an interview with CNN, Biden confirmed his definition of marriage:

Hillary on Marriage

Back in 2004, this was Hillary's position on marriage. Should the voters now hold this statement against her? This is the same year that Trump was talking off the cuff with Billy Bush on women.

Does every statement that you ever made in your lifetime be held against you? Should people only be held accountable on what they believe now and how they live their lives or should it all be fair game? She didn't use the word p**sy but she definitely took a conservative stand on traditional marriage and now has done a 100% flip flop. She has used the F word towards Secret Service agents that are documented.

Chaz Stevens, the man who was instrumental in getting our city commission to bow down and kiss his butt and change procedure for invocations, is back at our state capitol in Tallahassee with his Festivus pole. This guy is one angry man who wants to shove his pole down every Christians' throat. It's silly, really. But what the hey; it's free speech.

This year the pole has a different design as he's angry about those people who believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. He's pissed off actually and he says his new design is "meant to rebut religious activists' opposition to the Supreme Court's decision this year legalizing same-sex marriage."

He believes in free speech and expression when it comes to himself but not for anyone else who disagrees.

And guess what, I just went to the wedding of a friend of mine who happens to be gay. Because somebody doesn’t think the way I do doesn’t mean that I can’t care about them or I can’t love them.

Double Religious Standard in America?

Christianity is taking a beating all over the world.  Christians are being beheaded and annihilated and now in our own country gays are taking action against Christians even though Christians represent 83% of the population in the U.S.  Gays on the other hand represent about 3.8%.

What is strange about denying this Christian woman her Constitutional right of Freedom of Religion is the case that happened back in June when the U.S. Supreme Court  ruled in favor of a Muslim woman who was told by Abercrombie & Fitch that she couldn't wear her head scarf that she said she wore for religious reasons. This was decided on an 8/1 decision for the Muslim. Abercrombie's dress code didn't matter. It was all about freedom of religion.

Do Christians and Muslims live to a different religious standard in America? Gays don't get excited about Muslims, only Christians. Or is it as simple as the LGBT community being more and more anti-Christian because of their drive to be equal in the eyes of the church and force the church to accept gay marriage. The church is a body they feel they can attack as it preaches "turn the other cheek" and "love all people as yourself."  Muslims have a low tolerance for all infidels gay or straight.

We have seen it in our own city when a few Gays went after The Common Ground Church for defending itself against a code issue and they turned it into some sort of Gay issue. The Common Ground Church welcomes, with open arms, the GLBT community and preaches love, not hate. But that didn't matter when a few people including a commissioner decided to bring down a church and do a hatchet job on its pastor. There is no common ground here. Lake Worth's bully blogger is doing it to this day and the church still prays for him.

In spite of being a Catholic, one thing that you can say about Nancy Pelosi is that she never flipped flopped on the issue of gay equality and gay marriage. Gay adults make up 1.6% to the latest Gallup Poll of 3.8% of our population. Gay marriage wasn't about politics for her nor was it about the teachings of her church. She stood by what she believed and one year ago even went after San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone. She did not want him to attend the controversial March for Marriage event, which she characterized as “venom masquerading as virtue.”

While what some believe is a symbol of anti-Christian hate and repression — the rainbow-colored gay “pride”  flag — flew everywhere, Father Jonathan Morris, a Catholic priest frequently seen on Fox News, reported via Twitter Sunday that during a pro-gay marriage parade in New York, “two men walked by and spat on me.”

Common Ground Church keeps praying for Lake Worth

Common Ground Church held its regular Sunday service this morning at 10am.

Commandment number 9 is something that the Bully Blogger does not adhere to--just ignores it over and over again. Yesterday, he made up a graphic with a message that is attributed to me.  It is totally FALSE. It is a lie.

Pastor Mike Olive prayed for the city and the usual provocateurs who spew hate and lies. Next Sunday he WILL be addressing gay marriage and everyone is invited to the Common Ground Church to hear his sermon on love and truth, not lies and hate, and the message from the scriptures. Come on down to 12 South J Street.

Following the service, church members went to the Lake Worth beach as three were being Baptized.

"The Supreme Court has spoken with a very divided voice on something only the Supreme Being can do--redefine marriage. I will not acquiesce to an imperial court any more than our Founders acquiesced to an imperial British monarch. We must resist and reject judicial tyranny, not retreat.

This ruling is not about marriage equality, it's about marriage redefinition. This irrational, unconstitutional rejection of the expressed will of the people in over 30 states will prove to be one of the court's most disastrous decisions, and they have had many. The only outcome worse than this flawed, failed decision would be for the President and Congress, two co-equal branches of government, to surrender in the face of this out-of-control act of unconstitutional, judicial tyranny.

The Supreme Court can no more repeal the laws of nature and nature's God on marriage than it can the law of gravity. Under our Constitution, the court cannot write a law, even though some cowardly politicians will wave the white flag and accept it without realizing that they are failing their sworn duty to reject abuses from the court.
