DEI in California now will include two Muslim Holidays

California bill to make Muslim holidays official state days raises hard questions about school neutrality

California's State Assembly voted 64-1 to pass AB 2017, a bill that would establish two Muslim holy days, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, as official state holidays and authorize public schools to close for both.

The bill advanced to the Senate Appropriations Committee on Wednesday, carrying a provision that has drawn sharp criticism from religious liberty advocates: it would direct the State Board of Education to develop a model curriculum for classroom exercises "acknowledging and celebrating" the holidays.

The measure, authored by Assemblyman Matt Haney, a San Francisco Democrat, sailed through the Assembly with virtually no opposition. But the bill's language goes beyond calendar recognition. It opens the door for state-guided classroom activities tied to specific religious observances, a step that critics say collides with California's own longstanding neutrality rules.

AB 2017 would add Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to California's official state holiday calendar, designating a single day of observance for each. Both holidays traditionally span three to four days, and both shift annually on the Islamic lunar calendar. The bill authorizes, but does not require, local public school boards and community colleges to shut down campuses for both days.

If neutrality means anything, it means the state does not pick winners among faiths. California chose that principle when it scrubbed Christmas and Easter from school calendars. The state cannot now build celebration curriculum for Eid and call it equity. It is preference, dressed in the language of inclusion.

Neutrality is only a principle if it applies to everyone. The moment it becomes selective, it is just politics.

California positioned itself between parent and child and lost in Supreme Court

Supreme Court Blocks California Law That Hid Children's Gender Changes From Parents

The Supreme Court halted a California law that barred school districts from requiring staff to notify parents when their child changes gender identification at school.

The unsigned order also blocks a state rule that compelled teachers to use a student's preferred pronouns, reinstating a lower-court injunction while the case continues.

The majority found that the religious parents who brought the challenge hold "sincere religious beliefs about sex and gender" and "feel a religious obligation to raise their children in accordance with those beliefs." California's policies, the Court ruled, burden the free exercise of religion.

Governor Gavin Newsom signed the law in July 2024. Two sets of Catholic parents, represented by the Thomas More Society, fought it. The parents won.

White House Faith Office embraces Christianity

Trump White House Faith Office move has Biden’s crowd fuming

The Left thought they'd driven religion out of American life for good. They spent four years targeting Christians and celebrating everything but Easter.

And Trump just made one faith move that has Biden's crowd fuming. Donald Trump is bringing faith back to the forefront of American life in ways that would've been unthinkable just a year ago.

The White House now openly celebrates Christianity with a boldness Democrats spent years trying to stamp out.

Trump created the White House Faith Office in February with Paula White as senior advisor, signed executive orders establishing a Religious Liberty Commission, and launched a task force to root out anti-Christian bias in federal agencies.

Trump even issued proclamations for Holy Week and Christmas that put Jesus Christ front and center instead of burying faith under politically correct euphemisms.

Years ago, in December 2017, it was evident that Christianity was not important to a few on the commission. It started when we had the athiest Preston Smith (what ever happened to that guy?) giving a satanic prayer and then it progressed to some Democrat commissioners (we had one athiest on the dais then) deciding to have silent prayers.

California Covid Shutdowns went after Religious Liberty

California church hit with $1.2M COVID fines takes religious liberty case to Supreme Court

What happened in California during COVID wasn’t just about masks—it was a battle over the soul of religious liberty.

Two conservative legal groups have taken up the fight on behalf of Calvary Chapel San Jose, urging the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn $1.2 million in fines slapped on the church for holding in-person worship services during statewide pandemic restrictions, as WND reports.

At the height of COVID shutdowns, Santa Clara County levied heavy financial penalties against the church, despite carving out exceptions for secular venues like restaurants and retail stores.

Now the ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice) and Advocates for Faith and Freedom have brought the case to the Supreme Court, asking it to consider how far government officials can go when it comes to regulating religious expression under the banner of public health.

As stated in an ACLJ report, “This case presents a new frontier: not just whether churches can meet, but whether the government may dictate the manner of worship itself.”

It’s one thing to enforce health guidelines uniformly—it’s something very different to decide which parts of a religious service are acceptable based on a bureaucrat’s checklist.

“We are asking the Supreme Court to affirm that the Constitution protects both the freedom to believe and the freedom to practice those beliefs – without government interference, intimidation, or crushing financial punishment,” the ACLJ said.

Task Force to Eradicate Anti‑Christian Bias releases preliminary Report

DOJ Report Details Biden-Era Anti-Christian Attacks

A task force created by President Donald Trump has revealed countless examples of apparent government weaponization against Christians and other faithful Americans during the Biden administration years.

The Task Force to Eradicate Anti‑Christian Bias — which was created through an executive order and is chaired by Attorney General Pam Bondi — concluded in a preliminary report that during the Biden era, there were “numerous instances of anti-Christian bias.”

The report details the incidents, which came from a number of government entities, as outlined by Fox News.

The Department of Defense, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Labor, for example, mishandled or denied requests for religious exemptions to the Biden COVID shot mandate.

Notably, the Biden administration stood by the mandate until it was blocked by the U.S. Supreme Court following a Daily Wire legal challenge.

President Trump on Christianity

STATEMENT by President Donald J. Trump

"My Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government. We will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty, upholding the dignity of life, and protecting God in our public square.

As we focus on Christ’s redeeming sacrifice, we look to His love, humility, and obedience—even in life’s most difficult and uncertain moments.

This week, we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our beloved Nation. We pray that America will remain a beacon of faith, hope, and freedom for the entire world, and we pray to achieve a future that reflects the truth, beauty, and goodness of Christ’s eternal kingdom in Heaven.

May God bless you and your family...and may He continue to bless the United States of America.”

DC Archbishop points out Biden's religious hypocrisy

DC Archbishop Rips Biden, Calls Him A ‘Cafeteria Catholic’

DC Archbishop Wilton Gregory didn’t mince words when he labeled President Biden a “cafeteria Catholic” during a recent interview on CBS.

Gregory pointedly criticized Biden’s selective adherence to Catholic teachings, stating, “Like a number of Catholics, he picks and chooses dimensions of the faith to highlight while ignoring or even contradicting other parts.”

This stinging rebuke comes amidst growing backlash over the Biden administration’s decision to declare March 31 as the “Transgender Day of Visibility,” a move condemned by many as an affront to Christian values.

Critics argue that Biden’s support for abortion access and same-sex marriage conflicts with traditional Catholic teachings. The Catholic Church officially opposes abortion and views marriage as a sacrament between one man and one woman. Biden’s political positions on these issues have led to accusations of him being a “fake” Catholic by many within the Church.

And the White House prohibited children from submitting “religious themed” Easter egg designs for the 2024 “Celebrating National Guard Families” art event at the White House on Easter such as the Cross.

You've heard of fake news, right? This is about a fake Catholic.

Extreme Madness in America today

Good vs. evil, God vs. Satan: America in full spiritual war

The world's freest, most Christian nation is on the brink of destruction

America – long the freest and most prosperous, powerful, altruistic and Christian nation on the face of the earth – is on the brink of destruction.

How can this possibly have happened? And more important, can it be saved? As recently as a generation ago, America’s dominant culture was essentially moral, patriotic and Judeo-Christian. Politically, of course, there was the continual tug-of-war for power between the two major parties:

Traditional Democrats, who championed liberal policies like “taxing the rich,” a higher minimum wage, more gun control, a larger “social safety net” and legalized abortion.

Republicans, who favored less government intervention, more individual liberty, free-market capitalism and protecting the unborn.

But despite the contentious battles and pendulum swings over who controlled the White House and Congress, America was safe, secure and confident, her freedoms intact, and her culture still decent and sane.

Fast-forward a few decades into today’s steaming inferno of unprecedented madness

Pro-Abortion organization stoops to an all time low

Ad blasted for twisting Jesus' words to support killing the unborn

An ad being used by a pro-abortion organization in Ohio to lobby voters to support late-term abortion procedures there is being slammed for twisting Jesus' words to support killing the unborn.

The ad also drew the comments of Mark Harrington, the president of Created Equal.

"Twisting of scripture by 'pastors' to advance abortion should anger every Christian. We need to turn our anger into action to defeat Ohio's Issue 1," he said.

Trump at Faith & Freedom Coalition

Our 'Nation Is Teetering on the Edge of Tyranny'

Donald Trump was the keynote speaker at Faith & Freedom Coalition in Washington, D.C.

On Saturday night, President Donald Trump celebrated the anniversary of the overruling of Roe v. Wade, hailing the Faith and Freedom Coalition for standing for "God, family, and country."

"As we gather today, our beloved nation is teetering on the edge of tyranny," Trump told the Road to Majority 2023 event Saturday night in Washington, D.C., which aired live on Newsmax.

"I believe that, and you believe that, our enemies are waging war on faith and freedom, on science and religion, on history and tradition, on law and democracy, on God Almighty himself. They are waging war.

Man arrested in Blue State Pennsylvania for Reading Bible

Christian Man Arrested for Reading Bible at Pride Event

Damon Atkins, who is a Christian, was arrested over the weekend during a ‘Pride‘ event in Reading, Pennsylvania. While standing on the outskirts of the event, Atkins was reading from 1 Corinthians 14:33, a verse that references peace. However, law enforcement intervened and arrested him, resulting in controversy over the issue of First Amendment rights. “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints,” the verse reads.

Atkins was handcuffed within a minute of standing on the sidewalk.

There is something unsavory going on in our country today and it's on the rise. Evil is winning it seems. We are a predominantly Christian nation but liberals are shutting down the voices of Christians. This has been going on for some time.

Ironic since they were right outside a church.

"So, people can frolic in the street with their whips and leather bondage outfits but a man from a church cannot stand outside it and read from a Bible?

Could he read from the Quran? Or from Marcus Aurelius?"

Two Chinese face charges of conspiracy, bribery, and money laundering

DOJ Charges 2 Suspected Chinese Agents for Targeting Falun Gong in US

The two individuals tried to bribe purported IRS official to advance Beijing’s campaign against persecuted group, Justice Department says

Falun Gong is a meditative practice featuring truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance—in the United States and the Chinese Communists want it ended. They are persecuted in China because they want to bring down the Chinese Communist Party.

John Chen, a 70-year-old U.S. citizen born in China, and Lin Feng, a Chinese citizen aged 43, attempted to “manipulate the IRS Whistleblower Program, through bribery and deceit,” in an attempt to strip a Falun Gong-run entity of its tax-exempt status, according to court filings unsealed on May 26.

The information they submitted to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is “facially deficient and contains rhetoric similar to the propaganda that the PRC Government uses to justify its subjugation and harassment of Falun Gong members,” according to the complaint.

Los Angeles Dodgers to promote "Pride" Night

"As liberals drift away from God and religion, The Los Angeles Dodgers is obliging them.

One of Major League Baseball’s most storied franchises is getting blasted over its plan to honor a controversial LGBTQ+ activist group of “queer and trans nuns” at an upcoming game, drawing the ire of Catholics who have condemned the “blasphemous” depictions of their faith.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are being accused of anti-Catholic bigotry for the planned hosting of a gay and transgender group that uses religious imagery to promote a sexually degenerate lifestyle, presenting a “Community Hero Award” to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence before the June 16th Pride Night home game at Chavez Ravine, appropriately, a matchup against the rival San Francisco Giants."

Kentucky Democrat Governor ordered to pay Legal Fees

Dem Gov. Andy Beshear ordered by appeals court panel to pay $272K in attorneys fees to church-goers

Those three church-goers -- Randall Daniel, Theodore Roberts, and Sally O’Boyle -- were congregants of Marysville Baptist Church who filed a lawsuit in April 2020 after they were harassed by Kentucky State Police and threatened with forcible quarantine and prosecution for attending in-person an Easter service.

In a 10-page order issued on May 9, 2020, a three-judge panel of the 6th Circuit agreed to issue a preliminary injunction that blocked Kentucky Gov. Beshear from enforcing his prohibition against in-person worship services due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In considering the likelihood of success on the merits for the plaintiffs seeking an injunction, the judges determined that "The Governor’s restriction on in-person worship services likely 'prohibits the free exercise' of 'religion' in violation of the First and Fourteenth Amendments."

Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear was ordered on Monday by the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals to pay more than $272,000 in attorneys fees to a trio of church-goers who had sued him in 2020 over his pandemic-related ordered shutdown of in-person religious services, the Daily Caller reported.

Assault on Religion - FBI infiltering churches

Hawley Says FBI Is ‘Infiltrating’ Churches and SPYING On Americans

Tuesday on FNC’s “Hannity,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) (one of my favorite Senators) accused the FBI of “infiltrating” churches and spying on Americans.

The Missouri Republican called for accountability for the FBI because of these claims.

“Senator, did the attorney general of the U.S. just lie to you in that exchange?” host Sean Hannity asked. “Do we now know that?”

“Sure looks like it, Sean — sure looks like it,” Hawley replied. “Listen, he knew at the time that he couldn’t answer the question because it looks so bad. He knew that it looked beyond the pale, and it is beyond the pale, Sean, for the FBI to be going into any church in America and trying to spy on Americans, and now we know that’s exactly what they were doing. They are infiltrating churches. They are trying to spy on us.”

Sorry Joe, you can't act like a Dictator

Federal Court Strikes Down Biden’s Transgender Medical Mandate

A federal appeals court on Friday struck down a Biden administration statute that forced doctors to perform medical procedures, including gender-transition procedures, against their religious beliefs.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit unanimously upheld a lower court’s ruling in Franciscan Alliance v. Becerra which protected around 19,000 health care professionals in Franciscan Alliance, a Catholic health care network, from performing medical procedures against their conscience.

“This ruling is a major victory for conscience rights and compassionate medical care in America,” said Joseph Davis, counsel at Becket, in a statement. “Doctors cannot do their jobs and comply with the Hippocratic Oath if the government requires them to perform harmful, irreversible procedures against their conscience and medical expertise.”

Biden and his "woke" Military

Judge Slaps Down Biden’s Medical Vaccine Tyranny!

On Thursday, US District Court Judge Steven D Merryday ordered a class-wide injunction that prevents the US Marine Corps from enforcing the Biden administration’s military vaccine mandate or discharging Marines who declared a religious exemption from the vaccine mandate and were denied.

Who the hell does the Biden administration think they are to deny a religious exemption? Especially to our military personnel!

Judge Merryday considered the audacity of the Marine Corps issuing blanket denials to 99.7% of Marines who declared a religious exemption without ever examining each Marine’s circumstance personally. The Corps is required by law to do so.

Religiously Cloaked Drug Dispensary

Well, it's Sunday, so here you go--

Oakland Church Sues Police Over Sacramental Psychedelic Drug Seizure

When I hear or read anything with the word "church," I automatically think of traditional churches that teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not the case in this "church."

A church in Oakland, California, that incorporates ritualistic use of controlled psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana is suing the city, the police department, and one of its officers for violating its First- and 14th Amendment rights in connection with a raid that seized substances from its facility.

Zide Door Church claims to be founded on the idea that psychedelic mushrooms induce complex human communication and religion. The church claims cannabis enables people “to understand life, the world and the teachings from the spirits that communicate through mushrooms and other entheogens” by using a focused “inner eye.”
