Done in language even the media should understand:

America keeps the steak, China buys the leftovers.

The beef freakout is nonsense. Trump is not shipping our hamburgers and ribeyes to Beijing while American families pay more. He is selling offal—tongues, tendons, tripe, tails—the cuts Americans usually do not eat, giving ranchers added value without hammering U.S. beef prices.

That is smart trade. The bigger picture is even better: Trump stabilized the China front while keeping tariffs, pressuring Beijing on Iran, controlling oil leverage, and kicking China out of America’s hemisphere.

This deal was a top ask from U.S. ranchers who want to sell the stuff Americans don’t eat for added value, and it will have no impact on beef prices in the U.S.

In the interview, Rob Schmitt of Newsmax asks if we’re giving China an economic lifeline as they’re struggling.

Newsmax Sues Fox News for Allegedly Abusing Monopoly Power

Newsmax filed a lawsuit Wednesday accusing conservative media giant Fox News of acting as a monopoly and suppressing its right-leaning competitors.

“Fox has sought to protect and expand its monopoly power in the Right-leaning Pay TV News Market by engaging in a suite of anticompetitive behaviors,” attorneys for the outlet wrote in the suit in federal court in southern Florida.

The lawyers allege that Fox News coerces distributors into “exclusionary and restrictive agreements,” and that it has used “intimidation tactics” to hurt Newsmax — including hiring “private detective firms to investigate Newsmax executives.”

“But for Fox’s anticompetitive behavior, Newsmax would have achieved greater pay TV distribution, seen its audience and ratings grow sooner, gained earlier ‘critical mass’ for major advertisers and become, overall, a more valuable media property,” they wrote in the suit.

"I think if you build it, they will come. And independents, Democrats are coming to our shows more and more," Fox News anchor Bret Baier told Axios at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where he and fellow anchor Martha MacCallum were covering events for the network.

Their coverage has included interviews with several key Democrats, including nominee Kamala Harris' campaign co-Chair Cedric Richmond, Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg."

Just over a week ago, Fox heavily promoted a Marquette poll showing him 6 points behind Harris while ignoring polls released at the same time by CNBC and Rasmussen showing him ahead.

Judge rules post office gun ban unconstitutional

A federal judge in Florida declared on Friday that a U.S. law barring people from possessing firearms in post offices is unconstitutional, citing a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling from 2022 that expanded gun rights.

U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, appointed by former Republican President Donald Trump, reached this conclusion while dismissing a portion of an indictment that charged a postal worker with unlawfully possessing a firearm in a federal facility, as Newsmax reported.

At the center of this controversy was Emmanuel Ayala, a postal worker accused of possessing a firearm within a federal facility.

Judge Mizelle, presiding over the case in Tampa, dismissed the possession charge against Ayala.

She articulated that such a blanket prohibition on guns in post offices contradicts the Second Amendment's guarantee of the right to keep and bear arms.

And our first Muslim Congresswoman elected, swearing in on the Quran, Rashida Tlaib, who is also a Democrat Socialist (we have a city commissioner who also is), a daughter of Palestinian immigrants, shrugs her shoulders and believes it's all a result of the United States supporting Israel (the only democratic state in the Middle East).

Tlaib has consistently claimed that Israel is an apartheid state and that its government has engaged in ethnic cleansing against Palestinians.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who served between 1995 and 1999, appeared in a recent poll to be Republican voters’ choice for the Speakership following McCarthy’s removal from his office.

As reported by Newsmax, an InsiderAdvantage survey found that 53 percent of the 850 respondents asked were supportive of Gingrich becoming the House Speaker. Not only that, the former Speaker was leading by 42 percentage points against the second-place option, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio. The Ohio lawmaker has already announced that he’s launching a bid for the Speaker’s office.

While Gingrich is no longer serving in public office, he continues to be eligible to become the House Speaker. This is because according to the House rules, it is not a requirement for the Speaker to be an elected House Representative.

Kerik, who worked for Rudy Giuliani surrounding the efforts to overturn Trump's loss in the 2020 election against President Joe Biden, earlier this week met with investigators from special counsel Jack Smith's team, a signal following the Trump indictment that the probe into allegations he worked to overturn the results of the 2020 election is ongoing.

DOJ's Obstruction Attempt Won't Work

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., told Newsmax that the latest attempt from the Department of Justice to obstruct the House Oversight Committee's probe into the Biden family will not work.

Appearing Friday on "Eric Bolling The Balance," Comer, chair of the Oversight Committee, slammed Attorney General Merrick Garland for selecting David C. Weiss as special counsel for the DOJ investigation of Hunter Biden's business dealings.

"This is another example of this Department of Justice being weaponized — trying to do everything in their ability to obstruct congressional investigations," he stressed. "But it's not going to obstruct our investigations. We're going to continue to move forward."

Comer said the primary purpose of appointing the special counsel is to prevent the Oversight Committee from accessing the necessary records to prove its case in court.

A special counsel is an attorney appointed to investigate and possibly prosecute a case. The cases are typically ones that the Justice Department believes it has a conflict with or with significant public interest, so it requires someone outside of the government to take responsibility.

This is all about protecting Joe Biden.
