Jewish-owned Fort Lauderdale venue pulls plug on Rashida Tlaib rally days before Florida primary

A Jewish-owned event space in Fort Lauderdale canceled a progressive rally headlined by Rep. Rashida Tlaib just hours before it was set to begin, citing security concerns after learning the full scope of the event, forcing organizers to scramble for an outdoor backup.

The Venue Fort Lauderdale posted a cancellation notice Thursday night after reviewing promotional materials for the "Chomp the Oligarchy" rally, which was scheduled for Friday evening, four days before Florida's Democratic primary.

The venue said it had become aware of the "full scope" of the gathering and could not proceed. Organizers moved the event to an alternate outdoor location, where roughly 300 supporters showed up and Tlaib appeared as planned.

The cancellation landed at the intersection of two fault lines running through the Democratic Party: an increasingly bitter fight between its progressive and establishment wings, and an unresolved reckoning over antisemitism that party leaders have spent years trying to manage.

Tlaib, the first Palestinian American woman elected to Congress, was censured by the full House in 2023 for embracing the slogan "from the river to the sea." She has described the phrase as "an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence" from Palestinians. Many Jewish Americans, and a bipartisan majority of her own colleagues, heard something very different.

The rally's organizers, operating under the banner of a progressive nonprofit called Gen Z for Change, posted on Instagram that they "will not be silenced by racist right-wing agitators and conservative Democrats." They pledged to "keep fighting to deliver for working-class Floridians."

The Washington Examiner reported that Gen Z for Change had actually lost two venue reservations for the event, not just one, a detail that underscores how toxic the Tlaib association had become for local businesses.

That wasn't a campaign slogan. That was a conquest announcement. She also declared that "real change doesn't come from the cowards and warmongers in Congress – it comes from the streets."

The Democratic Socialists of America – the organization that put Tlaib and AOC in Congress – have never hidden what they're doing.

House rejects Tlaib war powers resolution on Lebanon in lopsided 324-92 vote

The House dealt Rep. Rashida Tlaib a decisive defeat Thursday, voting 324 to 92 to block her war powers resolution that would have directed President Trump to withdraw U.S. armed forces from Lebanon within seven days. The margin was not close, and the Michigan Democrat's own party leadership helped ensure it wasn't.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, and Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar all came out against the measure before the vote, issuing a joint statement that undercut Tlaib's central premise. CBS News reported that the three Democratic leaders declared flatly that there are no U.S. servicemembers involved in combat operations or hostilities in Lebanon.

That left Tlaib arguing for a withdrawal from a conflict her own leadership said does not exist, at least not in the way her resolution described it.

Tlaib forced the vote after weeks of fighting between Israel and the Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. She framed the United States as an "active participant" in what she called Israel's "ethnic cleansing campaign" and "war crimes." Those are her words, labeled as framing claims, not established facts.

On the House floor Wednesday night, Tlaib made a specific accusation about the Trump administration's role:

"The Trump administration is providing intelligence, coordinating strikes and demonstrating overt command over Israeli decisions."

She offered no publicly cited evidence for that claim during floor debate. The resolution itself directed the president to pull U.S. armed forces "from Lebanon" within a week of adoption, broad language that drew objections from both sides of the aisle.

It’s not a secret that Democrats have been turning on Biden, and for good reason. Most recently, far-left Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has joined the opposition and called on voters to actually consider opposing Joe Biden in the upcoming November election.

Labeling Biden as an “enabler of genocide,” Tlaib’s fiery rhetoric underscores her dissatisfaction with his administration’s stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

During her address at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Detroit, Tlaib didn’t mince words. She accused Biden and his colleagues in Congress of cowardice and complicity in war crimes.

“It is disgraceful that the Biden administration and my colleagues in Congress continue to smear [anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian students on college campuses] for protesting to save lives—no matter their faith or ethnicity. Stomach-churning chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” were heard at a rally in Dearborn, Michigan this past weekend.

A video posted to X shows the goings on at the rally marking Al Quds Day, an annual pro-Palestinian event.
The chants can be heard as activist Tarek Bazzi addressed the crowd. Bazzi criticized US foreign policy as he riled up the crowd by suggesting “the chant ‘Death to Israel’ has become the most logical chant across the world today.”

Bazzi referred to the President as “Genocide Joe” and said he “has to go.”

A significant chunk of Michigan Democrats – nearly 20 percent – decided to vote “uncommitted” in protest of Biden’s presidency. Yup, you heard that right. Leading this rebellious charge is none other than Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who has been urging voters to use their primary vote as a form of protest. She’s not mincing her words either.

Approximately 100 people sat on the House steps, with a large white banner that read “Congressional Staff for a Ceasefire Now” behind three speakers who recited their demands to their Congressmen bosses.

A flyer sent to staffers about the protest advised them to hide their identities by wearing facemasks, concealing their Congressional IDs, covering tattoos and by leaving their work phones in their office.

Additionally, staff members held bouquets of flowers that were placed across the plaza in front of them.

Well, they won their lawsuit against American-based Palestinian organizations in federal court "for financing the terrorists that killed their son," and were awarded $156 million in damages.

But, the organizations who had to pay, such as the Holy Land Foundation, American Muslim Society and Islamic Association for Palestine, declared they were bankrupt and closed their doors.

American Muslims for Palestine and Americans for Justice in Palestine Educational Foundation, are simply alter egos of the closed groups, with the same core leadership, same purpose and same operations. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has criticized the AMP for allegedly promoting extreme anti-Israel views and allegedly providing a platform for antisemitism under the guise of educating Americans.

During the years that the case was pending, the report explained, AMP "massively expanded its pro-Palestine lobbying activities in the halls of Congress, developed close ties with influential Democratic lawmakers, and earned a reputation as one of the most influential groups in the anti-Israel boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement."

It's really difficult to comprehend how we have anti-Israeli's elected to Congress such as Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar who go against America's policy of supporting Israel. The melting pot needs to be cleansed.
