Democratic congressional candidate Brad Lander quoted the Quran before an imam reportedly prayed for "the killing of infidels" during a recent mosque visit.

During a visit to the Al-Khoei Islamic Center in Queens, New York, Lander described himself as "a proud Jewish New Yorker" before denouncing "Israel's genocide in Gaza," MEMRI reported May 15.

He expressed his desire to partner with Democratic New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Lander is currently running for New York's 30th congressional district. He is the former comptroller of New York City, and a close ally of Mamdani.

A counter-protester lit what police said was an explosive device during a protest Saturday against Mayor Zohran Mamdani in New York City. The counter-protester also was caught on video uttering "Allahu Akbar" as police were arresting him.

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch on Sunday announced that the device was real — not a hoax device or smoke bomb, WNYW reported.

The initial protest, called “Stop the Islamic Takeover of New York City,” was led by Jake Lang; police called Lang a "far-right provocateur." The protest outside Gracie Mansion — the mayor's residence — drew a counter-protest dubbed “Run The Nazis Out Of NYC.”

Fistfights erupted between the two sides, the New York Times reported.

Tisch stated during a press conference following the altercation that counter-protester Emir Balat, 18, “lit and threw an ignited device.”

Balat then ran to retrieve a similar device from another man — identified as 19-year-old Ibrahim Kayumi — lit the device, ran toward the protest, and dropped it, WNYW-TV reported. [Blaze]

In Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, a clash over land use and cultural identity is taking center stage.

On Dec. 18, the Broken Arrow Planning Commission granted preliminary rezoning approval for a 15-acre project that includes a mosque and retail complex, paving the way for the Islamic Society of Tulsa's development plan to move ahead pending a final city council vote next month, as The Christian Post reports.

The proposal drew over 60 residents to a packed and often tense public meeting, where most speakers voiced concerns over the cultural and community implications of the development.

“The vote was strictly on the feasibility of the construction plans and not the cultural ramifications,” said Planning Commission Chair Robert Goransson, underscoring the meeting's narrow legal focus.

That may sound procedural, but for many families in Broken Arrow, this isn't just about blueprints and building codes. It’s about whether their quiet suburb is taking a turn they didn’t sign up for.

NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY, VIRGINIA AND MINNEAPOLIS

Mamdani, who claims to be a Democrat Socialist but actually a Communist, is New York City’s first Muslim Communist mayor, received 50.4 percent of the vote, backed by more than one million voters.

Cuomo, running as an independent, finished second on 41.6 percent with 854,995 votes, while Sliwa, the Republican nominee, placed third with 7.1 percent and 146,137 ballots received.

Democrat Ghazala Hashmi, projected to be Virginia’s lieutenant governor, will become the first Muslim woman elected statewide.

Mikie Sherrill won in New Jersey by a landslide.  Abigail Spanberger also won in Virginia by a landslide.

In Minneapolis, Frey received 42% of first-choice votes. State Sen. Omar Fateh, a Muslim, received 31%; DeWayne Davis, 13%; and Jazz Hampton, 10%.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., and Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, are sounding the alarm over claims that members of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas-linked individuals from Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJPAction) were using Senate bathrooms for ritual cleansing and praying on mats inside the Capitol while the government was at a standstill.

Breitbart reported that these allegations first surfaced through investigative journalist Laura Loomer, who took to the social media platform X to detail the reported activities, including individuals in Islamic attire roaming the Capitol halls.

New York City Mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani posted a picture of himself posing with a Brooklyn Imam known as being an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing whose son ran a terrorist camp for children.

In a post to X, Mamdani can be seen posing with Imam Siraj Wahhaj and City Councilmember Yusef Abdus Salaam in Wahhaj's Bed-Stuy mosque in celebration of the weekly Muslim prayer.

In August 2018, not one. Not two. But three of Wahhaj's children were charged with terrorism and felony child abuse for running a 'terrorist training camp' in the New Mexico desert that was allegedly meant to train child school shooters, and where the remains of Wahhaj's abducted three-year-old son were found by police.

The younger Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 40 (at the time), had stuffed 11 children into an RV with five adults on the compound, which could be accessed via underground tunnel.

Muslims block Christian pastor from Public chapel

All are welcome'? Islamists tell Christian pastor to go away after airport invites him to public chapel

A Christian pastor who was invited to a publicly funded prayer chapel at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has confirmed he went there, but was told to go away.

It's because Islamists had taken over the facility and were allowing no one else to use the tax-paid room. The Southern Baptist pastor, Tom Ascol, "was denied entry to a taxpayer-funded chapel during Muslim prayers."

The airport now is "under scrutiny" for the incident involving Ascol, who had traveled to the state to visit the grieving family of his close friend, Voddie Baugham, a widely respected pastor who died at 56 last week following a medical emergency.

"The incident has reignited concerns about the growing trend of Islamic dominance over shared public and religious spaces in Texas," the report said.

Ascol explained on social media he was awaiting a flight when he heard an airport announcement inviting passengers to a "prayer service" at the Meadows Chapel. The announcement said, "All are welcome."

Instead, he was refused access because of an "imam-led salah."
