Trump Targets Gas Prices

Trump Demands Gasoline Retailers Lower Prices, Warns of ‘Big Problems’ If They Don’t

President Trump demanded Monday that gasoline retailers cut prices immediately as crude oil costs continue falling. The president urged stations to start targeting gas around $2.50 a gallon and warned that “big problems” could follow if prices stay too high.

President Trump issued the warning in a Truth Social post. He said gasoline prices are too high compared with the current price of oil.

“Gasoline Retailers must get their Prices down, IMMEDIATELY!” Trump wrote. He said oil is now around $68 a barrel and “heading south.” Trump argued that lower crude prices should quickly translate into lower prices at the pump.

Gas prices decline

Florida Gas Prices Fall Ahead of Record Independence Day Travel

Florida gas prices dropped 20 cents last week, offering some relief to drivers ahead of the Independence Day travel period, according to AAA.

The state average fell to $3.63 per gallon Sunday, down from $3.83 a week earlier and $4.51 a month ago. Over the past 11 days, Florida’s average price has declined 32 cents per gallon, reducing the cost of filling an average-size gas tank by nearly $5.

AAA said the decline comes as 4.6 million Floridians are expected to travel for Independence Day, including 4.08 million who are projected to drive. Last year, Florida drivers paid an average of $3.11 per gallon on Independence Day. AAA said prices are unlikely to fall below that level before the holiday but could approach the 2024 average of $3.53 per gallon.

“Florida’s state average is now the lowest since early March,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA. “Lower gas prices come at an ideal time for summer travel and offer some financial relief for drivers. Still, the outlook remains uncertain. Developments involving the Strait of Hormuz will continue to influence whether prices rise or fall.”

The decrease has been driven in part by lower crude oil prices. AAA said U.S. oil prices fell 16% over the past two weeks amid hopes that an agreement between the United States and Iran would lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The lower prices come as AAA projects Independence Day travel in Florida to set another record this year, with more than 4.6 million residents traveling at least 50 miles from home between June 27 and July 5.

Energy Prices

Trump says Energy Secretary got it wrong

Trump overrules Energy secretary on gas prices, insists relief will come faster than Wright predicts

President Trump flatly rejected his own Energy secretary's forecast on gas prices Monday, telling The Hill in a phone interview that Chris Wright was "totally wrong" to suggest Americans might not see prices fall below $3 per gallon until next year.

The public rebuke landed just one day after Wright appeared on CNN and hedged on a timeline for relief at the pump. Asked when drivers could expect sub-$3 gas, Wright said Sunday: "I don't know. That could happen later this year. That might not happen until next year." He added that "prices have likely peaked and they will start going down."

Trump was having none of it. In his interview with The Hill, the president tied cheaper gas directly to the resolution of the Iran conflict, saying prices would drop "as soon as this ends."

That framing puts the timeline squarely in the administration's own hands, and puts Wright's caution at odds with the White House message.

Trump’s Permian Basin gamble faces its biggest test

Oil executives spill the beans on what happens to prices in 2026

Biden nearly destroyed America’s energy independence.

Trump rescued it in record time.

And oil executives just revealed one stunning prediction about 2026 that changes everything. The heart of American oil country just delivered news nobody in Washington, D.C. saw coming.

Chevron CEO Mike Wirth sat down with FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo in the middle of the Permian Basin and dropped a truth bomb about where oil prices are headed. “We’re prepared for prices in ’26 to be lower than they were in ’25,” Wirth told Bartiromo without hesitation.

This isn’t some Wall Street analyst making predictions from a Manhattan office tower. Wirth runs operations in the Permian Basin, which now pumps 40% of America’s oil and will hit 70% by 2040. He sees 2026 as the “low point” before the market stabilizes and prices climb back.

Diamondback Energy CEO Kaes Van’t Hof backed him up with even more direct language. “Economics drive capital allocation decisions. Today, oil’s at $57 a barrel. I don’t think we’re necessarily high-fiving with that oil price,” Van’t Hof explained. Translation: $57 oil hurts.

The executives are betting everything that American energy can survive a brutal price war in 2026.

Prices Dropping but Interest rates remain the same

Prices Dropping; Time for Fed to Lower Interest rates

President Donald Trump, pointing to dropping prices for gasoline as well as eggs and other groceries, is continuing to call for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates.

"Egg prices are WAY DOWN from the Biden inspired prices if just a few weeks ago," the president said on his Truth Social page late Thursday. "'Groceries' and Gasoline are down, also. Now, if the Fed would do the right thing and lower interest rates, that would be great!!!"

Earlier this week, Trump also called on the Fed to cut rates while tariffs "start to transition" into the U.S. economy.

The Federal Reserve this week kept interest rates the same, while assessments continue on how the president's tariffs could affect economic growth.

The Irresponsible President

Biden administration forced to admit Keystone XL pipeline was mistake

The report was released so quietly that more than a month later, most Americans still don’t know about it.

In late December, the President Joe Biden administration quietly released a congressionally mandated report that effectively admitted the Keystone XL pipeline cancellation was a mistake.

According to the report, the pipeline would have created between 16,149 and 59,000 jobs and would have had a positive economic impact of between $3.4-9.6 billion. But hardly anyone heard Biden’s de facto mea culpa, because the report was released without any public announcement.

But immediately after taking office in January 2021, Biden canceled the pipeline's permits, effectively shutting the project down.

Biden wanted to suspend gas tax for 90 days

Biden Pipe Dream Went Up in Smoke

Biden is 100% responsible for our energy prices

In order to sweeten the deal and make it seem like he was really helping out families, Biden “called on states to take steps removing their own taxes on gas and diesel.” Forget it, they were quick to shoot back. Joe also hammered “oil refining companies to increase their capacity.”

Congress turned him down this year on just another one of his cockamamie ideas.

Rep. Peter DeFazio (D–Ore.), chairman of the House Transportation Committee, released a statement calling the idea "well-intentioned" but full of problems. Chief among them is the fact that suspending the gas tax for 90 days would blow a $10 billion hole in the federal Highway Trust Fund, for which the gas tax acts as a user fee.

Oil companies explained to him, once again, that they’re already producing at capacity now and it’s the liberal anti-oil regulations which prevented any new refineries from being built in recent years. [deepstaterabbithole]

Vote the Idiots out

It was only 20 months ago when this nation was completely energy-independent.

No shortages and the prices at the pump were a mere fraction of what they are now. This is not a drill, this is a core component of our economy and it is about to stop, completely, says the PricklyPear.

It’s bad enough that the cost of filling a tank with diesel fuel has jumped by 228% over the past year but now the EIA is reporting that we are down to a paltry 25-day supply in the country. Look at the fuel delivery process to your local gas station, which will end shortly after we run out of diesel fuel, and there will be nationwide gas shortages. There will be no way for the grocery stores to re-supply and those shelves will empty.

Call or write your U.S. Senators and Representatives today: let them know that they need to fix this now!

And, for the love of everything you hold dear, pull the Republican levers on November 8th! We must stop the idiots in this administration from doing any more harm to our nation.

Biden did something very stupid--again!

Saudia Arabia confirmed that Joe Biden attempted to coerce them to cut oil prices until AFTER the election

In the Foreign Ministry’s statement, the kingdom confirms that Joe Biden pressured the Saudi royalty to delay cuts in output and lower oil costs for another month until after the midterm elections.

“The Government of the Kingdom clarified through its continuous consultation with the US Administration that all economic analyses indicate that postponing the OPEC+ decision for a month, according to what has been suggested, would have had negative economic consequences,” according to the statement.

“The Kingdom stresses that while it strives to preserve the strength of its relations with all friendly countries, it affirms its rejection of any dictates, actions, or efforts to distort its noble objectives to protect the global economy from oil market volatility. Resolving economic challenges requires the establishment of a non-politicized constructive dialogue, and to wisely and rationally consider what serves the interests of all countries.”

Read the full transcript of Biden attempting to interfere in our November election by coercing the Saudi prince. And since they didn't play his game, he is now threatened sanctions. It worked for him before when he was V.P. with Ukraine. I believe it is more than just doing something very stupid; Biden committed a crime.

Insanity: Biden Energy Policy

OPEC Cuts Oil Production by 2 Million Barrels per Day as Us Strategic Reserve Nears 40 Year Low

Gas could go to $10 a gallon

Biden’s on track to practically empty our strategic oil reserves to get Democrats elected in November. He agreed not to deplete any more of it and the very next day changed his "mind."

Cancelling the Keystone Pipeline was a history-book-level screw up.

Biden gets nothing right

Eric Trump Reveals Big Prediction His Father Got Right

Actually, it is more than one prediction

In an interview Monday, Eric Trump boasted that every prediction his father made about what would happen if Joe Biden won the White House has been proven correct.

In an interview on Newsmax’s “Greg Kelly Reports,” Trump said his father warned that we’d have $8 gas if Biden was elected. “We have $8 gas,” Eric Trump said. Eric said his father had predicted runaway inflation, crumbling stock markets, and a loss of worldwide respect for the United States. “And guess what?” Eric added.

He said the 79-year-old Biden “gets nothing right,” not Afghanistan, not any foreign policy. “He can’t ride a bike correctly,” Eric added.

And the news media is finally reporting the truth on this.

Biden administration’s anti-fossil fuel policies are the problem

Oil Billionaire Blasts Biden’s Gas Price Blame Game, Says Only One Thing Will Fix Inflation

New York billionaire and refiner John Catsimatidis, who owns hundreds of gas stations, blasted President Joe Biden’s pinning the blame on high prices at the pump on gas station owners, arguing there’s only one solution for inflation—boosting production of crude.

While the margin gas station owners make fluctuates several cents one way or the other, Catsimatidis said it’s “ridiculous to put it on us. We’re not the ones that created the problem.”

The price of gasoline has nearly doubled since Biden took office, with the president variously blaming oil industry greed, a lack of refining capacity, global supply shortfalls set against a sharp post-pandemic rebound in demand, and the war in Ukraine.

Biden Just Can't Help Himself

Biden Has Public Meltdown Over Putin And Gas Prices

(RoyalPatriot.com )- Last Wednesday, a scolding, insufferable President Biden stood on his faux White House stage set and lectured the country about the high cost of gas while blaming it on Putin, the Oil Industry, and even mom & pop gas station owners.

The only time Biden mentioned taking any blame himself was when he lectured Republican lawmakers for blaming him.

Biden: "For all Republicans criticizing me for high gas prices in America, are you now saying we were wrong to support Ukraine and stand up to Putin? Are you saying that we'd rather have lower gas prices in America than Putin's iron fist in Europe?" pic.twitter.com/Z7U8YIFgnM

According to Rasmussen, only 11% of Americans blame Putin.

Biden Begging Saudi Arabia For More Oil Won’t Work

French President Emmanuel Macron told President Joe Biden that begging Saudi Arabia for more oil won’t work, during their conversation at the G7 Summit held at Elmau Castle, in Kruen near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany on 6/26/2022.

Emmanuel Macron warns Joe Biden that Saudi's MBS told him they can 'barely' raise oil output. Saudi Arabia and the UAE have been perceived as the only countries in OPEC having some capacity to help increase global deliveries.

And then today, Biden says he will not ask Saudi Arabia for increased oil production during his trip despite rising prices.
