Democrats have spent years trying to connect Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.

They thought they finally had their smoking gun when Congress launched its investigation. But former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr just gave him the one answer about Epstein that Democrats desperately hoped he wouldn’t.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr sat down with House investigators Monday for closed-door testimony about the federal government’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Democrats walked into that room expecting fireworks. They walked out empty-handed. "He said that he had never seen anything that would implicate President Trump in any of this," Comer told reporters.

But Barr didn’t stop there. The former Attorney General dropped another truth bomb that left Democrats scrambling.

"He believed if there had been anything pertaining to President Trump with respect to the Epstein list, that he felt like the Biden administration would probably have leaked it out," Comer revealed.

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments next month in former President Donald Trump's challenge against the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling that he is barred from appearing on that state's primary election ballot under the "insurrection" clause of Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution's 14th Amendment.

On Thursday, three former GOP U.S. attorneys general filed a brief with the Supreme Court in support of Trump's position that the 14th Amendment's "insurrection" clause doesn't apply to the president and therefore can't be used to bar him from state ballots, Breitbart reported.

Those three former attorneys general include Edwin Meese, who served under Ronald Reagan, Michael Mukasey, who served under George W. Bush, and Bill Barr, who served under Trump but is certainly otherwise no longer a supporter of his former boss. They were joined by constitutional law professors Steven Calabresi and Gary Lawson, along with the conservative advocacy group Citizens United.

In an interview with Fox News’ Shannon Bream on Sunday, Trump’s Attorney General, William Barr, stated that he was personally involved in the investigation of the Biden Ukraine bribe FD-1023 during the summer of 2020.

Bream did not ask Barr why he didn’t inform the public before the presidential election that Joe Biden was accused of accepting a $5 million bribe from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma while he was serving as vice president. This accusation suggests that he used his position to influence U.S. foreign policy in Ukraine and to have a prosecutor investigating Burisma fired while Hunter Biden, his son, was on the company’s board.

Bream’s objective in the interview seemed to be to prompt Barr to criticize President Trump regarding the prosecution of classified documents. The inquiries about FD-1023 were inserted almost at the conclusion of the interview without any reference to the allegation that Joe Biden had accepted a $5 million bribe or that it was associated with Burisma.
