Save Our Homes from Excessive Property Taxes
How Lake Worth Beach could be impacted if voters raise the homestead exemption in November
‘It’s going to affect everything,’ a city commissioner says about millions in projected revenue losses that could lead to cuts in public services and programs.IF VOTERS RAISE Florida’s homestead exemption in November, Lake Worth Beach homeowners can expect deep cuts not just to their tax bills but to the public services and programs they receive from the city.
The “Save Our Homes from Excessive Property Taxes” constitutional amendment requires approval by 60% of statewide voters.
Here’s how Lake Worth Beach will be impacted if it passes, according to an analysis by Palm Beach County Property Appraiser Dorothy Jacks using 2025 property values:
Lake Worth Beach has 5,673 homesteaded properties representing nearly 44 percent of the city’s 13,067 parcels.
- If the $50,000 homestead exemption is raised to $150,000, the city would lose about about $3.5 million in property tax revenue in 2027.
- If the homestead exemption is raised to $250,000, the city would lose about $4.75 million in revenue in 2028.
- Applied to the current city budget, that’s a loss of about 18 percent and 25 percent, respectively, in the $19.3 million in property tax revenue that makes up nearly 36% of the $53.6 million general fund.
- That lost revenue could force Lake Worth Beach officials to make tough decisions about cuts their constituents may not like. The challenge comes as Lake Worth Beach property values have reached a milestone — $4.005 billion, an 8.7% increase, according to preliminary 2026 estimates released by Jacks’ office last week.

Lowering the tax burden for Florida families
Democrats and their afordability buzz word
"Plenty of politicians talk a big talk on making life more affordable. Democrats particularly use the word a lot, but, charitably speaking, they don’t seem to know what it means. All Democrat policies make life more expensive. But Florida Republicans are laser-focused on making Florida more affordable for families with very real solutions, not just talk. While inflation is down, living costs remain high across the country from Joe Biden’s crushing inflation rates.
So Florida Republicans have put on the ballot in November a Constitutional amendment that would dramatically cut property taxes for homeowners. If 60 percent of voters approve it, this will be money that stays in the pockets of millions of Floridians. This is not just a slowed increase in costs, but actual, tangible cuts.
This is what conservative leadership looks like — lowering the tax burden on homeowners, and limiting the growth of government and all of its intrusive costs.
We will now be fighting to get it passed in November against some very entrenched interests that are vested in endless gobs of taxpayer money."

Mayor Betty Resch wants you to Vote YES on ballot initiatives
Because the City can't maintain itself, so let's give it away to developers for 100 years.
But I also see the physical toll that decades of delayed maintenance and an outdated city charter have taken on our most precious assets. On March 10, we face a defining moment. We can choose to cling to the no-to-everything mentality that wants no change, or we can choose to provide a better future for Lake Worth Beach.
Our city is at a critical point, both physically and fiscally. Our 100-year-old municipal golf course needs major renovations and updating; the clubhouse needs some loving care. The historic city hall annex — a major historic contributor to our downtown — now sits empty but could once again be functional. At the beach, our empty pool is a sad example of decades of neglect. Our current charter lease limits make public-private investment nearly impossible.
The hard truth is that clinging to the past and fearing the future cannot fix leaking roofs or flooding greens. We are facing a looming financial crisis that we cannot ignore."
Now the City is deathly afraid of what might happen in the Florida Legislature that would collapse their general fund because they can't ever save a dime.
"The Florida Legislature is considering two bills that could devastate our city’s budget: one that could cut nearly $8.5 million from our property taxes and another that would slash over $16.2 million from our general fund. This is a potential $24.7 million hit to the services you rely on every day. Cities all over Florida are facing this devastating legislation. There are no provisions to replace those funding sources. Ballot questions 2 and 3 are the keys to our revitalization," she says.

In November 2016, Lake Worth voters approved a $40 million, 30-year bond specifically to address deteriorating, crumbling roads throughout the city. How about an update on the funds still available as we have to pay for 20 more years and some of the roads still need repairs that are constant. Now the city is into affordable housing again and recently received an $850,000 grant which doesn't cover our expenses.
Thanks to Commissioner Suzanne Mulvehill, in 2013 we had a Charter Amendment that passed--placed on the ballot and approved by voters on March 12, 2013, solidifying the 45-foot and 35-foot height limits, with exceptions for existing buildings and previously approved permits.
Money comes and money goes as quickly as we get it. So, we are supposed to vote in 99 year leases for our entire city? A 'no' keeps the rule that voters must approve those leases by referendum..

Adult use of Marijuana fails to get on Ballot
Florida Supreme Court dismisses adult-use marijuana advisory case
"The Supreme Court of Florida on Wednesday dismissed a case seeking an advisory opinion on a proposed constitutional amendment that would have legalized adult personal use of marijuana, formally ending the measure’s path to the 2026 ballot. In a brief order, the court accepted Attorney General James Uthmeier’s notice of voluntary dismissal, canceled scheduled oral arguments and closed the case without ruling on the proposal’s merits.
Six justices concurred, while Justice Jorge Labarga dissented without a written explanation.
The case stemmed from Florida’s constitutionally required pre-election review process for citizen-initiated constitutional amendments. Under that process, the Attorney General must ask the Supreme Court to determine whether a proposed amendment complies with the single-subject requirement and whether its ballot title and summary are clear and not misleading.
The dismissal follows the Florida Department of State’s determination this month that no citizen-led initiatives, including the adult-use marijuana proposal, submitted enough verified signatures to qualify for the 2026 ballot. Without sufficient signatures, the advisory opinion process effectively became moot, prompting the Attorney General to withdraw the request for review.
The order was issued Wednesday and took immediate effect." Source: TheCapitolist.com

Michigan will not remove Kennedy's name from ballot
Blue State Plans To Weaponize RFK Against Trump
Refused To Remove Name Off Ballot
Michigan, a key battleground BLUE state in the upcoming presidential election, has thrown a wrench in Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s plans to boost President Donald Trump’s chances of winning by removing his own name from the ballot.Kennedy, who previously ran as an independent presidential candidate, recently announced that he was suspending his campaign and endorsing Trump. As part of his efforts to help Trump win, he planned to remove his name from the ballot in 10 battleground states, including Michigan.
However, the Michigan Secretary of State’s office announced on Tuesday that it is too late for Kennedy to remove his name from the ballot. According to spokesperson Cheri Hardmon, “Minor party candidates cannot withdraw, so his name will remain on the ballot in the November election.”
Kennedy is listed on the Michigan ballot as the candidate for the Natural Law Party.

Democrats want Green Party candidate off the ballot
Democrats File Complaint to Keep Jill Stein Off Wisconsin Ballot
The Democratic National Committee is really spooked about the prospect of going up against independent and third-party candidates this year. You’ve probably heard about the many lawsuits filed by the DNC against independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., so you may not be surprised to learn that a member of the DNC has now filed a complaint designed to remove Green Party candidate Jill Stein from the ballot in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press revealed on August 14 that a lawsuit filed by the DNC member argues that the Green Party is ineligible to run in Wisconsin. It matters, too; Wisconsin is typically won by just several thousand votes, and removing the Green Party candidate could give a huge advantage to the Democrats over the Republicans. In the last six presidential elections, the state has been won by a candidate with a margin as slim as 5,700 at the lowest and 23,000 at the highest.
Now imagine in 2024 if that margin is even smaller…you see why the Democrats want her off the ballot, right?

DeSantis involving himself in Florida 2024 Election
Ron DeSantis dropped one big hint about going to war with George Soros
"Ron DeSantis has fought some of the biggest forces on the Left. Now he could be ready for another epic battle. And Ron DeSantis dropped one big hint about going to war with George Soros who has gived untold amounts of money to corrupt DA's soft on crime. He is getting involved with the 2024 Election in Florida.
The 2024 Election is not shaping up to be much of a contest at the top of the ticket in Florida. Polling shows that former President Donald Trump should win comfortably against President Joe Biden this November.
The biggest political contests in Florida this year will be ballot measures pushed by Democrats.
- Voters in the state will decide if they want to enshrine abortion on demand until the moment of birth into the Florida Constitution
- Another measure legalizing recreational marijuana in the state is on the ballot for voters to decide
- Both measures require 60% of the vote to pass.

Biden just didn't follow the well-established rule
Democrats face possibility Biden might not be on Ohio ballot!
Law requires candidate's name BEFORE party nominating convention
Democrats in power in Washington, and in certain states, have spent months and likely uncounted dollars trying to get President Donald Trump banned from the 2024 presidential ballot. They've pushed the "insurrectionist" talking point over the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol, ever since those events happened.
They've worked at the state level, in Colorado, to obtain a ruling from an all-Democrat state Supreme Court that his name shouldn't appear. Of course that agenda was stopped in its tracks by the U.S. Supreme Court.
In a letter to Democrat party chief Liz Walters, LaRose confirmed, "The Democratic National Convention is scheduled to convene on August 19, 2024, which occurs more than a week after the August 7 deadline to certify a presidential candidate to the office…"

Illinois becomes third state to remove former President Trump from primary ballot
Trump has not been found guilty in a court of law on "insurrection" charges.
“The Soros-funded Democrat front-groups continue to attempt to interfere in the election and deny President Trump his rightful place on the ballot.
It's in the hands of the Supreme Court but blue state Illinois made this horrendous dcecision.

Supreme Court Colorado Case
Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito asked one question about Trump that changed everything
Regarding the Colorado case to keep Trump off the ballot--Soros-funded Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) funded the lawsuit out in Colorado to ban Trump from the ballot, saying Section 3 of the 14th Amendment disqualified Trump from office because he engaged in insurrection.
As everyone knows, Donald Trump has never been charged or convicted in court of insurrection on January 6.
Justice Alito essentially wanted Plantiff's Attorney Jason Murray to answer why Republicans wouldn’t ban Joe Biden from the ballot for insurrection over Biden’s decision to release frozen funds to Iran, where leaders call the United States “the Great Satan” and use the money to fund terrorist activities.
Even Since Donald Trump won in 2016, his opponents have hunted around for “one weird trick” to block him from being President.
Section 3 of the 14th Amendment was just the latest “resistance” fantasy.
But the Supreme Court isn’t suicidal, and the Justices understood the Soros-funded CREW was asking them to end democracy in America.

Trump Ballot case will be heard by SCOTUS
Supreme Court to Take on Trump Ballot Case
Donald Trump may not be a favorite of the Supreme Court justices right now. With the number of ballot cases stacking up and primary elections already starting, the Supreme Court has been forced into action to address the Trump ballot cases.
So, the usual break enjoyed by the justices during January and February is getting cut short to address the case and set the precedent.
Let’s Get It Over With
Typically, justices will take a break from hearing oral arguments in late January and remain on break through mid-February.
This year, however, the nature of the suits trying to block Trump from getting the nomination means that the justices are going to have to come back a bit early to hear the case.

Republican registered voter in New Hampshire given Democrat ballot
This Republican Went to Vote in New Hampshire; She Was Handed a Democrat Ballot
Ms. Cory was a registered Republican, but at her primary polling place, she was handed a Democratic ballot and then told she couldn’t change her registration.Soutisa Cory intended to vote for former President Donald Trump when she entered her ward’s polling place in Rochester, New Hampshire, on Jan. 23.
It was also her oldest son’s first time voting, she told The Epoch Times.
Ms. Cory had filled in the Republican primary ballot in 2022 to vote for her boyfriend, New Hampshire state Rep. Mike Belcher.
Because she hadn’t flipped to undeclared right after voting that year, by default, Ms. Cory became a registered Republican. That meant she should have received the GOP presidential primary ballot on Jan. 23.
Instead of them making a phone call, they directed her to the city clerk's office that proved she was a registered Republican.
But she was handed a Democratic primary ballot

Dems Grasping at Straws
Trump gets 14th Amendment challenge win in Massachusetts
A Massachusetts ballot panel has rejected a challenge to remove former President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot over his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The Massachusetts State Ballot Law Commission dismissed the case on procedural grounds, stating that the panel did not have the jurisdiction to weigh in on the matter.
This is a significant victory for Trump, who is facing several attempts from multiple states to remove him from the ballot under a section of the 14th Amendment disqualifying those who “engaged in insurrection” from holding public office.

Violation of the Insurrection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment
This is Your Own Fault, Democrats: Lawsuit Filed to Keep Biden Off Illinois Ballot 🤣
We told you so, Democrats. Some of us told you multiple times and in multiple ways. If you don’t knock off this BS of trying to remove President Donald Trump from the ballot, Republicans will respond in kind to keep Joe Biden off the ballot. The hilarious part about this (and you deserve this so much at this point, liberals) is that the first legal challenge to Joe Biden running again is coming from a blue state that Biden needs to win: Illinois.
Stop us if this sounds familiar. Four Republicans have filed a lawsuit to keep Joe Biden off the ballot in Illinois, on the basis of the insurrection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Yep. That’s the same clause of the same Amendment that Democrats have now sued in something like 20 states to try to keep Donald Trump off the ballot.
The Republican voters in Illinois are suing because Joe Biden has “given aid or comfort to the enemies” of America, through his open borders policies.

Pelosi says states don't have to follow the Constitution
George Stephanopoulos SHOCKED After Pelosi Suggests States Can Overrule Constitution and Ban Trump from Ballot
In a recent interview on ABC’s “This Week,” former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made a shocking suggestion that states have the power to overrule the US Constitution and ban former President Donald Trump from the presidential ballot.ABC: "You believe [Trump] is ineligible to be president?"The US Constitution lays out three requirements for individuals to become president: being a natural-born citizen, at least 35 years old, and having been a resident of the United States for 14 years. These requirements are meant to establish a common standard across all states, ensuring that candidates meet the necessary qualifications to hold the highest office in the land.
NANCY PELOSI: "They have different laws from state-to-state."
ABC: "It's the Constitution..."
NANCY PELOSI: "That's not the point."
Let's see how the Supreme Court will rule on kicking Trump off blue states' ballots.

Dems trying hard to keep Trump off the Ballot
Federal Judge Dismisses Trump Ballot Disqualification Case ‘With Prejudice’
A California judge ruled against a plaintiff that attempted to bar the former president from appearing on the ballot.A federal judge in California on Jan. 3 dismissed a lawsuit that sought to keep former President Donald Trump off the 2024 Republican primary ballot in that state.
District Judge David Carter granted a motion to dismiss the lawsuit “with prejudice,” which means that it can’t be submitted to the same court again, according to court papers.
A plaintiff attempted to argue that they suffered “emotional injury” as a result of the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, while watching the events unfold on television, on the radio, and in various publications. They then argued that the incident caused them “severe emotional distress” and then filed a lawsuit to keep the former president from California’s ballots.
Dems will try anything...so pathetic!
