President Trump ends trade discussions with Canada

Trump Ends Trade Talks with Canada

President Donald Trump said Friday he is “terminating” all trade discussions with Canada, effective immediately, because of its Digital Services Tax, and that he would announce new tariffs on the country within the next seven days.

“We have just been informed that Canada, a very difficult Country to TRADE with … has just announced that they are putting a Digital Services Tax on our American Technology Companies, which is a direct and blatant attack on our Country,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

The decision came after Canada refused to delay the implementation of the tax for 30 days while the two countries negotiate a trade deal, White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett said Friday afternoon on Fox Business Network. “They’re taxing American companies who don’t necessarily even have a presence in Canada,” Hassett said, calling the tax “almost criminal.”

A White House official said the president was “rightfully” angry. “We had been negotiating with Canada for them to lower their trade barriers, and then they go and erect a brand new one,” said the official, who was granted anonymity to discuss a sensitive issue. “So it’s obviously not helping their case.”

First payments are due Monday, but because the bill applies retroactively, U.S. companies such as Amazon, Google and Meta could be faced with a bill up to $3 billion, according to the Computer & Communications Industry Association.

New Global Currency to knock out the U.S. Dollar

New Global Currency Designed to Ditch US Dollar Coming From BRICS Nations: Report

A group of economically-aligned nations plan to create a new currency that could reduce the world’s dependence on the US dollar and the euro, according to a new report.

The group of emerging economies, known collectively as BRICS, are exploring how such a currency would be structured, reports the Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik.

The news comes days after China executed its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade using the yuan instead of the dollar, as reported by Reuters.

The acronym BRICS stands for the countries of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. A number of additional nations, including Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Iran, Indonesia, Turkey and Egypt, have reportedly expressed interest in joining the alliance.

Digital Currency in a Pilot Study

NY Fed and Major Banks Make Announcement That Should Concern Us All

We saw large-scale changes in how elections were conducted using the pandemic as an excuse. We can see the harmful results of a lot of those changes now, as they now try to sell us on it being “normal” that it may take days in some places to count elections.

If that weren’t enough, be prepared for something else that has been bandied about as a “conspiracy theory” but may now be on the immediate horizon.

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York and several banking conglomerates are partnering on a 12-week “digital dollar” pilot program." And one of these banks is where I do business, says The Republican Daily.

They will “explore the feasibility of an interoperable network of central bank wholesale digital money and commercial bank digital money operating on a shared multi-entity distributed ledger.”

The potential dangers to our freedom from such a system are incalculable. This is something the new Republican majority needs to get out in front of and not allow it to be steamrolled into place. The liberals have done enough damage to our freedom.
