Omari Lost; that's all that matters
Even though he was crushed in the Distrist 20 Primary, he is still in the news
From the California New Times:"One of the candidates is Omari Hardy, a member of Parliament who was three years old when Hastings was elected in 1992. Hastings was the longest-serving member of the Florida State Capitol delegation. However, the district is very democratic.
The Democratic primary winner is considered a lock in the January general election, but the results were too close to call on election night after most votes were counted in the South Florida area.
Nearly 99% of the votes were counted, less than 100. The vote separated two leaders in the field of 11 Democrats. Broward County Commissioner Dale Holness and Healthcare CEO Sheila Chelfils McCormick led the crowded primary, each accounting for nearly 24% of the vote.
The area is the majority of blacks and covers parts of Broward County and Palm Beach County. Tallahassee, Florida contributed to this report."
Florida Secretary of State Laurel Lee instructed the supervisor of elections in Broward and Palm Beach counties to recount the votes in the Democratic special primary to fill the seat left vacant since the death of U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla.

Jason Mariner--an Interesting Republican candidate for Alcee Hasting's seat
Interesting to say the least but it shows anyone can turn his life around. Mariner got more votes in his Primary than did Omari Hardy in his.
Jason Mariner, 36, of Palm Beach Gardens, an advertising executive and self-described “America First” conservative candidate, won Tuesday’s GOP primary with 58 percent of votes in the heavily Democratic 20th Congressional District.

At this point, it's not going to make any difference in the general election as a Democrat will win but Republicans should never give up. The majority of this country will not accept socialism.
On the Democrats’ side, election officials were recounting ballots Thursday after Dale V.C. Holness led Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick by only 5 votes out of more than 49,000 votes cast.
Republican primary winner District 20 is ex-felon who never applied for the right to hold office
The winning Republican in the congressional District 20 primary is a convicted felon who did not go through the state’s process to restore his civil rights after his imprisonment, interviews and records show. That step is required under Florida law for a candidate to hold political office.Jason Mariner, 36, of Palm Beach Gardens, an advertising executive and self-described “America First” conservative candidate, won Tuesday’s GOP primary with 58 percent of votes in the heavily Democratic 20th Congressional District.
