Ally? Egypt helping Russia

American Ally Openly Ignoring Biden Administration's Pleas, Continues Aiding Major US Adversary

American ally Egypt repeatedly ignored requests from Biden administration officials to shut off its airspace to Russian military flights, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing U.S. and Egyptian officials.

Egypt continues to allow the Russian defense ministry to send aircraft through its territory to reach Syria, complicating U.S. moves to block Moscow from allegedly funneling weapons and equipment stationed in Syria to its forces in Ukraine.

So, we've lost one ally there but still, so far, have Jordan, Iraq and Turkey to block access for some Russian military flights after Moscow launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Egypt is one of the largest recipients of U.S. defense and humanitarian aid and takes in about $1.3 billion in weapons and military equipment yearly, according to the Journal.

"One of America’s closest allies in the Middle East had plans to send military supplies to support Russia in its invasion of Ukraine, recently revealed classified documents show.

President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi of Egypt, a major recipient of American foreign aid, recently called on subordinates to build roughly 40,000 rockets to be covertly shipped to Russia, a leaked American intelligence document shows.

The Washington Post wrote, “A portion of a top secret document, dated Feb. 17, summarizes purported conversations between Sisi and senior Egyptian military officials and also references plans to supply Russia with artillery rounds and gunpowder. In the document, Sisi instructs the officials to keep the production and shipment of the rockets secret “to avoid problems with the West.”

A press release from the federal government said that the proposed arms sale will “support the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a Makor Non-NATO Ally that continues to be an important strategic partner in the Middle East.”

Rand Paul says, “Egyptians continue to live under the harsh authoritarian rule of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi," noting that a human rights report from the Department of State described how al-Sisi has turned his whole country into a prison.

"President Trump and his aides worked for several weeks with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi to secure the freedom of Aya Hijazi, 30, a U.S. citizen, as well as her husband, Mohamed Hassanein, who is Egyptian, and four other humanitarian workers. Trump dispatched a U.S. government aircraft to Cairo to bring Hijazi and her family to Washington."

Obama threatened Egypt and warned them if they didn't hand over power to the Muslim Brotherhood they would lose billions in United States aid. Not only that, Obama tried to save Morsi when most of Egypt wanted him out of there. The people marched against Morsi.

You would have thought that Obama would have taken notice.  He never did. He stopped military aid for throwing the Brotherhood out of power and hurt the Egyptian people.  Obama stood with the enemy of freedom.

He never learned in Syria either when he gave an additional $300 million in aid but he said it was not to help the rebels some of whom were the Muslim Brotherhood.

Today, Egypt's leaders have declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group and said, "It only knows violence as a tool."

We are no longer trusted in the world. We have no clue who the enemy is.  Our own people are hurting. Obama is retiring our top generals and making our military weaker throughout the world.

A  question apparently being raised in next week’s trial in Cairo of Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood leaders facing criminal charges is this: Was the Obama administration paying bribes as large as $850,000 a year to the Morsi government that were distributed by top ministerial level officials to Muslim Brotherhood leaders, with the direct involvement of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo?

Could this be the end of Israel?

While President Obama vacationed in Martha's Vineyard, Egypt descended into apocalyptic chaos and is taking the entire Middle East with it. As you read this, the violence is escalating in the Sinai Peninsula. Islamic terrorists are attacking Egyptian security forces and firing missiles at the Israeli resort city of Eilat.

Obama's desire to "pivot" America's foreign policy away from the Middle East is incredibly dangerous. If Egypt falls to radical Islam, Israel will be besieged by enemies from all sides.

Obama's completely incoherent foreign policy is putting our strongest allies in grave danger. His extreme ambivalence is simply unacceptable.

America can do better.

I'm not going to settle for second-rate leadership and you shouldn't either.

America stands by her friends – Israel most of all – and we honor that commitment by our actions and not empty Obama-style rhetoric.

What is the world left to think when the same nation that is leading the War on Terror now abandons its own diplomats to be murdered at the hands of a terrorist mob in Libya?

Obama's Jimmy Carter-style foreign policy has turned us into the laughing stock of the world. Our enemies oppose us and threaten our friends because Obama's leadership lacks true American courage.

America can do better! Let's get started today.

Egyptian government and mainstream media have reported a major development regarding the role of Barack Obama’s brother (presumably, his half-brother Malik Obama) with the Muslim Brotherhood. Malik is a member of the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO), an arm of the Sudanese government, which is led by President Omar al-Bashir, who is himself a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
