This Republican Went to Vote in New Hampshire; She Was Handed a Democrat Ballot

Ms. Cory was a registered Republican, but at her primary polling place, she was handed a Democratic ballot and then told she couldn’t change her registration.

Soutisa Cory intended to vote for former President Donald Trump when she entered her ward’s polling place in Rochester, New Hampshire, on Jan. 23.

It was also her oldest son’s first time voting, she told The Epoch Times.

Ms. Cory had filled in the Republican primary ballot in 2022 to vote for her boyfriend, New Hampshire state Rep. Mike Belcher.

Because she hadn’t flipped to undeclared right after voting that year, by default, Ms. Cory became a registered Republican. That meant she should have received the GOP presidential primary ballot on Jan. 23.

Instead of them making a phone call, they directed her to the city clerk's office that proved she was a registered Republican.

But she was handed a Democratic primary ballot

Nikki came in 2nd because of Independents and Democrats

Some 51% percent of voters in New Hampshire's Republican presidential primary contest considered themselves Republicans, down from 55% in the party's 2016 contest, according to an exit poll conducted Tuesday by Edison Research.

New Hampshire is a semi-open primary, allowing "undeclared" registered voters to vote in either primary, giving independents a say in the Republican presidential nominating contest.

Roughly two-thirds of undeclared independents broke for runner-up Nikki Haley on Tuesday night.

In politics, they often say that personnel is policy. If that’s the case, then Nikki Haley may be running in the wrong party’s primary.

Over the weekend, The Washington Examiner reported that the former ambassador to the United Nations and governor of South Carolina hired a Democrat to run her campaign efforts in New Hampshire.

The news has left some conservatives scratching their head.

Clearly, when Nikki Haley looks for talent, she turns to the Swamp and the Democrat Party’s guns-for-hire, not genuine conservatives.

The top election official in New Hampshire says he won’t invoke the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution in order to block former President Donald Trump from the ballot in the state that holds the first primary in the Republican nominating calendar.

New Hampshire Secretary of State Dave Scanlan, at a news conference Wednesday at the state house in Concord, also announced that the filing period for the 2024 presidential primary will start on Oct. 11 — meaning it’s nearly all but certain the date of the contest will lead to a collision with the Democratic National Committee.

At the news conference, called in part to address legal efforts by some Republicans in New Hampshire to prevent the former president from getting his name on the 2024 ballot, Scanlan said that as long as Trump “submits his declaration of candidacy and signs it under the penalties of perjury, pays the $1,000 filing fee, his name will appear on the presidential primary ballot.”

He did not engage with her and instead addressed the “gotcha” topics she continually posed throughout the night. As a result, he effectively reduced her role as the moderator.

Despite Collins attempting to start the townhall event with controversial topics and outdated leftist narratives, such as the 2020 election results, January 6th incident, and accusations in the E. Jean Carroll case, Trump received a standing ovation at the introduction. The highly anticipated event looked promising for the former president as he teased it earlier.

During the townhall, Collins talked about the previous election and allegations of fraud, but Trump emphasized the importance of upholding the Constitution and made it clear that he values it very much.

New Hampshire found massive discrepancies in the 2020 General Election that they have passed a bill, The Windham Act SB43. What makes the election irregularities in Windham so eyebrow raising is the difference in machine counted votes and the audit. There were over 1,300 problems found out of a total vote count of just over 10,000. That's more than inconsequential.
