Trump Demands Gasoline Retailers Lower Prices, Warns of ‘Big Problems’ If They Don’t
President Trump demanded Monday that gasoline retailers cut prices immediately as crude oil costs continue falling. The president urged stations to start targeting gas around $2.50 a gallon and warned that “big problems” could follow if prices stay too high.President Trump issued the warning in a Truth Social post. $2.50 a gallon would be great. Hope it's not wishful thinking.
The President of the United States ordering private businesses to lower prices is about as contrary to capitalism as one can get. Capitalism is something that Republicans used to believe it.
It was $1.87 under this President his first term! He needs to kick the asses of the price gushers!
@1:12...Republicans still believe in capitalism...just would like businesses to make an honest profit, not price gouge, Liberal. Crude Oil is now at $68.12 a barrel.
Why doesn't he order beef prices to be lower? Or coffee? We're paying way too much. They're all "price gouging." Why stop with gas?
This guy always weirdly entertaining if only.. lololol.
@4:43...Because the price of gas affects all produce transported to market. Lower the gas prices and the price of everythng goes down.
So you're claiming that prices are at record high because oil is at $68 a barrel? Has nothing to do with tariffs? Has nothing to do with companies taking advantage of consumers?
Okay, whatever you say.
Trump told Big Oil to drop gas prices – and they did it in five days.
GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan reported that prices dropped in 46 states over the past week, with diesel falling in 49.
