Former Republican Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie joined Tucker Carlson and ex-Trump counterterrorism official Joe Kent for a public show of unity around a new political "movement", one built on opposition to the president's Iran war.

Greene shared a photo of the four seated around a wooden table on X on Aug. 1, declaring that Trump "betrayed us all" by breaking his promise to avoid foreign wars. The post drew nearly 10 million views and was shared 15,000 times, a measure of how far frustration with the war has spread inside the president's own base.

The gathering amounts to the most visible step yet by dissident figures on the populist right to channel that frustration into something organized. Greene, Massie, Carlson, and Kent have each paid a political or professional price for breaking with the White House. Now they say they want to build an alternative.

Representative Ilhan Omar, the Minnesota Democrat, said Tuesday that former allies of President Donald Trump who have spoken out against the war with Iran deserve credit, and singled out former Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene and right-wing influencer Candace Owens by name.

Omar made the remarks in an interview with Pod Save America co-host Tommy Vietor, calling on Americans across the political spectrum to work together against what she described as a presidency in crisis.

The overture is striking on its face. Greene was among the GOP members who pushed to oust Omar from her House seat just last year. Now Omar says she wants to embrace Greene and others who have, in her words, "gotten off the sycophantic train."

What this really amounts to is a familiar left-wing play: find a disaffected Republican, hold her up as proof that the right is fracturing, and use the moment to press a progressive narrative.

Omar isn't extending an olive branch out of genuine bipartisan goodwill. She's leveraging Greene's public break with Trump to advance her own political argument, and doing so on a progressive podcast, not in a committee room or on the House floor.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) introduced the Making American Elections Great Again Act, legislation to end the Democrats’ plan to inflate congressional representation using illegal aliens and restore election integrity for American citizens.

“For years, Democrats have flooded our country with millions of illegal aliens and used them to rig our political system—now they’re saying the quiet part out loud. They want illegals for redistricting. That’s not democracy, it’s foreign interference,” said Congresswoman Greene. “My bill puts a stop to it.”

Under current law, the U.S. Census counts everyone—citizens and noncitizens alike—for congressional apportionment, giving sanctuary states like California and New York inflated representation in Congress while punishing red states that respect the rule of law.

The Making American Elections Great Again Act will:

• Order a new census immediately upon enactment, counting only U.S. citizens
• Require states to redraw congressional districts based on this new citizen-only census
• Reschedule the next census for 10 years after the completion of this new one
• Require proof of citizenship and photo ID to vote in all federal elections
• Impose criminal penalties on anyone who distributes ballots without verifying citizenship
• Criminalize attempts to help noncitizens vote in federal elections

“This bill is about fair representation, national security, and protecting the vote of every single American citizen,” Greene continued. “Illegal aliens should never be counted for congressional seats or allowed to vote in our elections—period. That’s not controversial, it’s common sense.”

Using the Congressional Review Act, Congress can overturn the waiver that the Biden Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) gave California to ban gas-powered cars with a simple majority in the House and Senate, avoiding a Senate filibuster by Democrats.

Chaos erupted during a House Oversight Committee hearing between Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) after Greene accused Crockett of wearing “fake eyelashes.”

The controversy started during a markup to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress on May 16. Greene asked if any Democrats on the panel were employing the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who is proceeding over former President Trump’s hush money trial in Manhattan.

Confused by the question, Crockett stepped in to ask if Greene understood the purpose of the hearing. “Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland,” Crockett asked. “Do you know what we’re here for?” The GOP congresswoman responded with, “I don’t think you know what you’re here for” and continued with, “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”

Democrats weaponized the power of impeachment against President Donald Trump

Two House Republicans are working to expunge the impeachments of 45th President Donald Trump from the record, with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep. Elise Stefanik introducing separate resolutions that would purge each impeachment.

Stefanik introduced a resolution to expunge Trump’s impeachment related to the alleged “insurrection” on Januay 6, 2021. Breitbart reported that she believes the Democrats running the impeachment trial “did not meet the burden” of proving Trump committed any crimes or caused an “insurrection or rebellion against the United States.” Greene’s resolution focuses on Trump’s 2019 impeachment regarding the “perfect phone call.

Trump was ultimately acquitted of both impeachments in the U.S. Senate, but remains among 17th President Andrew Johnson and 42nd President Bill Clinton in the small category of U.S. Presidents who were impeached in the U.S. House.
