Marjorie Taylor Greene slams Fox News after Mark Levin's 'unprofessional' name-calling

A heated war of words has erupted between Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and Fox News host Mark Levin, highlighting growing divisions within conservative media over foreign policy positions. The Georgia representative expressed outrage over what she calls "propaganda" and unprofessional conduct by the network.

New York Times Op-ed says Jack Smith violated Legal Norms

NY Times Op-ed: Jack Smith Abused Power, Interfering in Election

Special Counsel Jack Smith abused his power and is interfering in the 2024 election with his massive 165-page memorandum accusing Trump of committing crimes, according to an op-ed in the New York Times Wednesday.

As Breitbart News reported, Smith submitted his memo — four times the typically-allowed length of a legal brief, and well within the Department of Justice’s 60-day window before Election Day — to Judge Tanya Chutkan in D.C.

Harvard Law School professor Jack Goldsmith — a former George W. Bush official who has been critical of Trump — wrote in the Times that Smith had violated legal norms and appeared to be attempting improperly to influence voters.

Goldsmith also suggested the President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris broke norms around the judicial process by commenting on the case and, especially in Harris’s case, attempting to abuse the case for political purposes.

Supreme Court Rules Against Biden Admin in Agency Lawsuit Dispute

A Supreme Court ruling on April 14 made it easier to challenge the reach of two powerful federal agencies—the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In its new red tape-cutting decision that is a defeat for the Biden administration, the Supreme Court took steps to rein in the so-called administrative state and reaffirm the separation of powers doctrine that prevents any specific branch of the government from exercising the core functions of another. The idea behind the doctrine is to discourage the concentration of power and make sure there are checks and balances.

On April 14, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously against the agencies. The court’s opinion was written by Justice Elena Kagan. Justice Neil Gorsuch did not join the court’s opinion; instead, he concurred in the judgment of the court but filed a separate opinion explaining his reasons for supporting the end result.

The Palm Beach Post is one big Opinion Piece - The Liberal Propaganda Peddlers

It doesn't matter to the Palm Beach Post, owned by Cox Enterprises whose political contributions go to Democrats, that this newspaper is biased. The entire paper now seems to be an opinion piece. Even the Letters to the Editor that they choose to print are usually one-sided and are negative towards the Republican presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump.

Today there was one letter from a Democrat who dissed Marco Rubio for "playing hooky from Congress." She doesn't even know the difference between Congress and the Senate or even care that Rubio was running for president during that time or that Obama did the exact same thing when he was running. The letter, with its glaring mistake was printed anyway. It portrayed the Post's liberal leanings so it was included.

We live in a county that is predominantly Democratic. The newspaper knows this and in many of its writings and inclusions, slants their articles towards liberal policy. Today there was an article by Wayne Washington (guaranteed to be a Democrat) who, instead of writing facts, gave opinion on Randy Perkins and Brian Mast saying Mast is a "far-right extremist on the order to former Congressman Allen West and radio host Mike Levin." This is an outrageous statement from a journalist.

Today, they printed their endorsements again endorsing Patrick Murphy a known liar even to them. The Post, however, says he has the capacity to grow and believes that he is heading in the right direction. That is all bull shit. It all boils down to liberalism vs. conservatism--a stacked Supreme Court that will change our country to liberal points of view including open borders, more unvetted refugees, killing babies in the womb, Obamacare (a disaster, and our gun rights to name a few.

It must be something that they like in liars as they also like Hillary Clinton.

The Op Ed piece in yesterday's Post was very interesting and although it was about the sales tax, the author expressed my sentiments on who should pay for infrastructure for private development.  The question is, why should the tax payers pay the bill? This is what we are doing in Lake Worth at the Park of Commerce...a Scott Maxwell idea.

A novel idea: Require developers to finance this infrastructure before their projects are built. It could be in the form of a bond that would be paid off over 30 years. In other words, require Northlake Boulevard to be eight lanes, from Seminole Pratt-Whitney Road to the Beeline Highway, built on a bond tied to the new project.

Tel Opinon Survey in Lake Worth

I guess everyone by now has received the call from Tel Opinion asking what you thought about the most important issue in Lake Worth and who you like at this moment in time as far as where your vote would go on election day.

The most pressing and important issues were posed and you got to choose only one out of several--Spending, Casino, Crime, Utility rates, Gulfstream Hotel, Taxes, Condos being built on the waterfront and Heights. Those are the ones that I recall. Condos on the waterfront never entered my mind until the question was asked. Is that something we now must be worried about if this Trio is re-elected?

One question regarding local candidates was. "Would you vote for an eco-terrorist?" Of course, just hearing the word "terrorist" everyone would answer that in the negative. I'm not sure how a question such as this is helpful to Scott Maxwell other than just to instill fear in the minds of those being asked. When I was asked I said, "Oh you mean an environmentalist." The trio is now using/coining that phrase, eco-terrorist.

Tel Opinion is out of New York so said the gentleman on the phone but their nearest contact address is Palm Harbor, Florida. The man on the other end of the line would not or could not tell me who hired this firm to conduct the survey but you could just about tell by the questions--it was not Ryan Hartman, Frank McAlonan, Diane Jacques or Gary Antieau. In fact, the surveyor could not even pronounce the names of McAlonan and Jacques. As there were a few other questions thrown into the mix like your favorable or unfavorable rating of Shelley Vana and Ric Bradshaw as examples, in order to make the survey seem more broad when in reality it concentrated on Lake Worth. I got the impression that it was mainly a Republican Research firm.

You have to wonder why anyone in a job that pays $14 to 15 thousand a year in a little city such as Lake Worth is so resolute in having the answers to this survey and on spending this money for it. Perhaps it was a developer/investor who paid for it, perhaps a major political Party, but we probably will never learn as they don't post all their clients on their web site. Another "transparency" issue for this Trio.

Thirty-eight national press organizations and transparency groups—including the Society for Professional Journalists, Investigative Reporters and Editors, and the Poynter Institute—called on the Obama administration to end 'politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies' in a letter to the White House that was released Tuesday, writes the Washington Free Beacon.

We see  pervasive "secrecy" and government's control of the press at all levels. Obama told us that his government was going to be the most transparent. Joel Simon, executive director of the CPJ said “There is a systematic effort to marginalize and undermine the work of the press."

On a local level, there is nothing we can do about personal opinion and the political spin or a commission that just wants its way regardless of the opposition or the outcome of an initiative. All we can do is expose it and/or vote them out. There can be two of us observing and listening to the same commissioners and walk away with a totally different message as evident by the two local blogs that dabble and write about local politics.

Lake Worth City Attorney Torcivia spent at least 15 minutes at the beginning of the meeting discussing what had happened at the Canvassing Board and interjecting his opinion. Below is a comment that was turned in on a blue card and was disallowed by the Mayor saying it was "opinion." The first paragraph addresses the same subject as Mr. Torcivia.

At the Supervisor of Elections Canvassing Board your City Attorneys objected to virtually every Lake Worth provisional ballot that the Board decided did not count, including even ballots that were unsigned. Does this Commission think that objecting to the exclusion of unsigned ballots lends any credibility to your attempt to discredit the recent vote?

Rather than spending your time looking for a different result, I respectfully suggest that you explore and implement strategies that will expand the City coffers and enable us to repair our infrastructure gradually with increasing funds rather than creating long term massive debt.

First Amendment Blues and a Temper Tantrum

We had enough of the First Amendment Blues last night. No one commenting could make an opinion on the election.  They could only discuss their trials and tribulations at their precincts and boy did they come out of the woodwork.  95% of them were those who voted FOR the bond.  Many people had to leave and could not speak  as the meeting went on so long with unlimited time given to those telling their tales. According to witnesses, as soon as Peter Timm was at the lectern and speaking, a woman in the back row who likes to jabber during meetings, called the deputy to proceed to the front just in case Mr. Timm got loud and obnoxious and spoke the truth.  After the meeting, we got a temper tantrum.  The same woman was seen pounding her fist on a person's car who had attended the meeting just as that person was driving away from City Hall.

Is a Legal Opinion Advocacy?

I received a copy of the "13" page legal opinion written by Glen Torcivia on Lake Worth 2020 and why he believes the city's advertising and promotion of Lake Worth 2020 is legal.  This is his interpretation and he is paid to write it.

In actuality it was a two page written opinion.  The rest was a copy of Florida Statutes and 34 more pages of Lake Worth's advertising marketing campaign on the general obligation bond and some legal cases--one was involving a Broward Coalition of Condo Homeowners and Community organizations that was eight pages long. Also attached was a four page letter written in 2012 from the Florida Department of State on advocacy. Legal opinions or any opinion for that matter, can and often are, challenged.

Now here I thought Glen had sweated out hours and hours writing this "brief" and that his opinion was going to cost the taxpayers hours and hours of legal fees.  Nope.  Instead it was just more propaganda that was sent to the Palm Beach Post.
