Democrat Party is Broken

Kevin McCarthy: Trump Has 'Broken Democratic Party'

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said Sunday that President Trump has “broken the Democratic Party,” adding that it has become “leaderless” and party members are “fighting among themselves.”

“It is a huge mess,” McCarthy said Sunday of the present state of the Democratic Party in a conversation with radio host John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM’s “The Cats Roundtable.” “It wasn’t just that President Trump won the election. He has now broken the Democratic Party,” he said.

“If you think about it, they are leaderless. There’s no message, and their polling continues to drop. They are now fighting among themselves,” he continued.

Gaetz Vendetta continues against McCarthy

Matt Gaetz refuses to let McCarthy get away with 'assault,' makes serious move

Hothead Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida has filed an ethics complaint against former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

The complaint revolves around an alleged incident between McCarthy and Republican Rep. Tim Burchett of Tennessee that took place Tuesday.

In a news release posted on Gaetz’s website, the incident is described as an “assault.” Of course, Gaetz didn't witness the incident and was no where around. He loves sticking his nose into things.

The release said Burchett referred to the incident as a “sucker punch” and a “clean shot to the kidney.”

Matt Gaetz, the most unpopular Congressman right now

House Republicans reportedly cancelled a major hearing scheduled next week

It would have featured key material witnesses to Biden family corruption due to the ongoing turmoil over House Speaker

The House of Representatives has been without a Speaker for more than 2 weeks after Matt Gaetz filed a motion to vacate the chair. Kevin McCarthy was ousted as House Speaker earlier this month in a 216-210 vote. 8 Republicans voted to oust McCarthy: Biggs, Buck, Burchett, Crane, Gaetz, Good, Mace, and Rosendale.

On Thursday, the Republican closed-door conference on the House Speaker vote devolved into chaos after McCarthy and Gaetz had a heated exchange.

“I was at the mic and I was speaking and Matt Gaetz tried to interrupt and I told him to sit down and he sat down,” McCarthy said blasting Gaetz and the ‘crazy eights’ who voted to oust him.

McCarthy continued, “No, I told him to sit down. I think the entire conference screamed at him.”

According to reports, Rep. Mike Bost “almost lunged at” Gaetz after McCarthy screamed at the Florida lawmaker to sit down.

Three votes now and NO speaker.

The most sensible thing right now is to get Kevin McCarthy back in as Speaker and get those 8 original Republicans who voted against him to now support him.

Kevin McCarthy on Biden's Open Border

Illegals crossing our border

1. Since Joe Biden has taken office reports show we’ve encountered:
• 6,400 Afghanistan Nationals
• 3,200 from Egypt
• 1,200 from Iran & Syria
• 60,000 from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Pakistan, and Lebanon

2. 151 of them were on the FBI terror watchlist

3. 1.5 million “gotaways” have crossed the border illegally without being caught.

This is dangerous and wildly not acceptable!

How many of the 1.5 million seek to inflict damage on America?
How many seek to attack American values?

TOO MANY!

A SECURE border is desperately needed.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. I hope that I have your continued support as we tackle the most important issues facing our nation.

Thank you,

Kevin McCarthy

Importance of combating Anti-Semitism in the United States

McCarthy Slams Biden

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy slammed Biden and House Democrats for what he called an “appeasement” stance toward Hamas and their failure to address antisemitism within their party.

Speaking at a press conference in the Capitol, McCarthy emphasized the need to prioritize the fight against terrorism, rather than Biden’s absurd plan of focusing solely on climate change and the Green New Deal.

McCarthy, a Republican from California, argued that the Biden administration’s approach was allowing a dangerous alliance between Iran, Russia, and China to strengthen. He urged President Biden to shift his focus toward protecting Americans and outlined a five-point plan.

Everything is Negotiable but not with Matt Gaetz

Gaetz Vows to Move to Oust McCarthy After Congress Avoids Gov't Shutdown

During an appearance on CNN Sunday, Hothead Gaetz accused McCarthy of engaging in a “brazen, repeated, material breach” of an agreement he struck with House conservatives to become speaker in January.

The Florida congressman said he would file a motion to vacate the chair sometime this week in a bid to topple McCarthy.

When journalist Jake Tapper noted 218 lawmakers would need to vote for the motion, Gaetz predicted there would be enough votes for the move to succeed unless Democrats provide votes to help save the California Republican.

Zelensky wanted to speak to Congress to beg for more money

Speaker McCarthy Shuts Down Plan From Zelensky to speak to Congress

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) revealed that he had denied Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s request to deliver an address to a joint session of Congress.

Zelensky who previously delivered a joint address in December, is making a push for more aid from the international community in his latest appeal to the United Nations earlier this week. President Joe Biden has requested an additional $24 billion in military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine on top of the $113 billion previously allocated.

In light of the ongoing disagreement over the aid package, McConnell took the opportunity on Wednesday to criticize Biden for his “passive, indecisive leadership” when it comes to the Ukraine-Russia conflict. However, he also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to make the case for sustained support of Ukraine’s cause, emphasizing the importance of America’s interests in the matter.

Despite not being able to deliver a joint address to Congress, Zelensky is using his time in Washington, D.C. to advocate for Ukraine’s cause and garner supportj for additional aid. With tensions between Ukraine and Russia continuing to escalate, it remains to be seen whether or not the United States will increase its investment in the conflict.

House Freedom Caucus

McCarthy Grows Frustrated with Far-Right House Members, Not Sure 'What They Want'

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) expressed his concerns with members of the House Freedom Caucus, claiming he is unclear what they want.

Members of the group have expressed interest in a government shutdown in opposition to the president's funding bill, among other controversial demands.

The battle with the caucus members has continued since McCarthy's controversial return to leadership earlier this year. Members of the group opposed his nomination as speaker on multiple occasions before he was eventually approved.

The argument between fellow GOP members has led to Democrats accusing Republicans of infighting and a lack of unity. I agree to this criticism as there is an Alt-Right faction of the party who has difficulties in compromise.

Conservatives instead find themselves pushing to stay focused in the House to approve legislation under the current slim Republican majority, forcing McCarthy to work with caucus members.

The Freedom Caucus is always against any Speaker. As John Bohner said, "They can't tell you what they're for. They can tell you everything they're against. They're anarchists. They want total chaos. Tear it all down and start over. That's where their mindset is." Matt Gaetz is an example of this mindset.

One thing for sure, today they support Donald J. Trump but in 2017 Trump declared war on the Freedom Caucus. There are at least 45 caucus members as of July 2023.

McCarthy still contemplating Impeachment Inquiry into Joe Biden

Speaker McCarthy Defines Procedure to Open Impeachment Inquiry Into Biden

Kevin McCarthy has clarified that if House Republicans decide to pursue an impeachment inquiry into Democratic President Joe Biden, it would require a formal vote on the House floor. McCarthy emphasized the seriousness of such a move, stating that it would not be taken lightly or used for political purposes.

Instead, the decision would be made through a vote involving all House members, ensuring that the American people’s voices are heard through their elected representatives.

Opening a formal impeachment inquiry would necessitate a majority vote with at least 218 members supporting the move, assuming full attendance in the House. While such a vote doesn’t equate to impeaching the president, it represents a significant step towards that possibility.

It would also grant the House extensive investigative and law enforcement powers, enabling them to compel testimony, enforce subpoenas, and delve into President Biden’s conduct and any alleged corruption within his administration.

Jan 6 UnSelect Committee Destroyed documents

All DIMS and two RINOS's destroyed evidence!

Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 committee pulled out all the stops to aggressively go after Donald Trump

Now members of the committee are squirming as Republicans demand answers to some pointed questions about what happened to critical evidence.

Back in November, Rep. Kevin McCarthy—who was the incoming speaker—warned January 6 Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, demanding the committee keep all documentation for the new GOP majority to sift through.

The new Republican majority has been busy looking into how the committee worked to weaponize the government in order to take down Donald Trump.

“It is imperative that all information collected be preserved not just for institutional prerogatives but for transparency to the American people,” McCarthy had warned Thompson. “The American people have a right to know that the allegations you have made are supported by the facts.”

But the committee reportedly blew off that directive and could be on the hook for obstructing justice over destroying documents, witness testimony transcripts, and email messages.

Impeaching Joe Biden

Biden Impeachment Effort Grows: MTG Backs Plan, McCarthy Against

Rep. Lauren Boebert’s effort to impeach Biden is growing, but Speaker Kevin McCarthy is yet to sign on

The articles of impeachment against Joe Biden introduced by Rep. Lauren Boebert are finding support among other Republican populists, namely Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, but House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is urging House Republicans against the impeachment vote...no balls. They need a two thirds vote in the Senate so are reluctant to go forward.

Boebert introduced a privileged motion to force an impeachment vote in the House, an act that signals open defiance against McCarthy and traditional lawmaking in Congress. While Greene had previously introduced articles of impeachment against Joe Biden, this will mark the first time the House is forced to a vote.

People haven't fully understood the genius of what @LaurenBoebert is doing with these impeachment articles. These articles are crafted in a special way through the Parliamentarian that FORCES a vote of each member on the record. This isn't just noise. This is the first real chance at impeaching Biden.

Ongoing Debt Ceiling

Good morning from Washington, where politicians on the Left keep trying to gaslight the rest of us about raising the nation’s debt limit without requiring new spending discipline

Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy met Monday after a weekend of on again, off again negotiations over raising the nation’s debt ceiling and mere days before the government could reach a “hard deadline” and run out of cash to pay its bills.

The two sides are working to reach a budget compromise before June 1, when Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said the country could default.

McCarthy and Republicans are insisting on spending cuts in exchange for raising the debt limit. Biden has come to the negotiating table after balking for months but says the GOP lawmakers will have to back off their “extreme positions.”

Republicans are the only ones who have come up with a solution to reduce our debt.

Kevin McCarthy proposed Debt Ceiling Package

McCarthy Unveils $1.5T Debt Ceiling Package

Axios: House Speaker Kevin McCarthy proposed a debt ceiling increase on Wednesday of $1.5 trillion — paired with a package of spending cuts.

Why it matters: If McCarthy can get Republicans to pass the plan through the House — which is far from certain — he'll have something concrete in negotiations with the White House.

In a speech on the House floor, McCarthy said the plan includes the following spending cuts:

Setting discretionary spending at Fiscal Year 2022 levels
Capping spending growth at 1% a year
Pulling back unspent COVID funds
Repealing IRS funding legislation
House energy legislation called HR1
Ending President Biden's student loan forgiveness
Repealing some Inflation Reduction Act tax credits

Republicans overcame the Insanity

McCarthy Clobbers ‘Extreme’ Dems for Voting Against ‘Parents Bill of Rights’

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) sounded off about the “extreme” Democrat party on Friday after they unanimously voted against the Parents Bill of Rights Act.

The act would grant parents access to their kids’ school curriculum. It would require schools to notify parents if a faculty member discusses gender ideology with their child or encourages them to transition. The act only narrowly passed the House 213-208.

“We have such an extreme minority party that they couldn’t even denounce socialism,” McCarthy said after the vote, referencing a House resolution condemning socialism the Democrat party previously opposed. “Such an extreme minority part that thinks you should decriminalize carjacking and even some forms of murder. Such an extreme minority party, in the Democrats, that they think parents shouldn’t have a say in their kids’ education.”

Perhaps some sort of intervention needs to occur as Democrats need to be de-programmed from their insanity.

January 6 tape evidence was withheld by Jan 6 Select Committee

All in their quest to bring down President Trump

McCarthy Defends Releasing Jan. 6 Tapes to Carlson, Fires Right Back at CNN Reporter After He Whines

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy stood firm on his decision to make thousands of hours of video footage from the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol incursion available to Fox News host Tucker Carlson after a CNN reporter implied he had done something wrong.

The House select committee that investigated the incident portrayed it as the near-end of the republic in a series of dramatic and theatrical hearings last year. Committee members quite literally enlisted the services of a Hollywood producer to sell their story.

Carlson, thanks to McCarthy, offered a different side of the Jan. 6 story to millions of Americans, one that had been hidden from them.

The corporate media, Democrats and even some Republicans immediately started melting down. Their account of the events of Jan. 6 is never to be disputed.

McCarthy now will offer the tapes to the public.

The Debt Ceiling: Financial Responsibility or Political Bias?

Biden Makes Ridiculous Demand, McCarthy’s Response is EPIC!

House Republicans are on the brink of a critical budget battle with the Democratic-led Senate and Joe Biden. At stake is the debt ceiling, which sets the maximum amount of money that the federal government can borrow.

Republicans have asserted that any boost to the debt limit should be accompanied by spending cuts in order to diminish future deficits. However, Democrats argued that this is simply a ploy by Republicans to use the government as leverage in their negotiations.

In an informal press conference held outside of Capitol Hill, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy remarked that Biden’s refusal to even negotiate conditions for raising the debt ceiling was “arrogant,” noting how discretionary spending had increased by 30% within four years under Democratic control, compared to no increase during Republicans’ eight-year rule.

No more Proxy Voting in House

Speaker McCarthy confirms official end to pandemic-related proxy voting allowed under Pelosi

With a Republican majority and Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) now in charge of the House of Representatives, a number of changes have been made or are underway with respect to how that legislative body will operate over at least the next two years.

One such change that has already taken effect is an end to the practice of proxy voting, in which absent members designate other members to cast votes on their behalf.
“No more proxy voting. Effective immediately, Members of Congress have to show up to work if they want their vote to count.” Kevin McCarthy (@SpeakerMcCarthy)
