Tim McGraw - Humble and Kind

Comment Up

A great thought for a Sunday and every day of the week.  Not holding grudges is good advice. Many of us have a tendency to do that in this city especially when it comes to politics particularly local elections. It's easy to say, "I can't stand that person." We all can be guilty of that when it comes to passionate issues in this city that we all love.

But as Pastor Mike Olive would say, "Love not Hate" and that's great advice for us all.

Let's take back our country

Comment Up

This was sent to me..author unknown....I like it; therefore you get it:

I know there are some of you that are Democrats and love Obama, but this is for Christians first, politics later. We each have to do what we think is right. I do pray that it doesn't offend anybody with the truth of the message but it has to be sent. If your faith comes first and your politics later, then you will appreciate this message. If you don't, I'm sorry I judged you wrong.

When we get 100,000,000, that's one hundred million willing Christians to BOND together, voice their concerns and vote, we can take back America with God's help. Become one of the One hundred million...

Then let's get 200 million. It can be done just by sending this; to your friends. Do the math. It only takes a single, willing heart and a fed up SOUL.

In 1952 President Truman Established one day a year as a "National Day of Prayer."

In 1988 President Reagan Designated the first Thursday in May of each year; as The National Day of Prayer.

In June 2007 (then) Presidential Candidate Barack Obama Declared that the USA "Was no longer a Christian nation."

In 2009 President Obama canceled the 21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House under the ruse of "not wanting to offend anyone."

HOWEVER... On September 25, 2009 >From 4AM until 7 PM, A National Day of Prayer  FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION Was Held on Capitol Hill, inside the White House.

There were over 50,000 Muslims In D.C. that day. PRESIDENT OBAMA PRAYS WITH THE  MUSLIMS!

I guess it doesn't matter if "Christians" were offended by this event - We obviously don't count as "anyone" anymore.

Now President Obama is encouraging schools to teach the Quran for extra credit,  while at the same time, they cannot even talk about the Bible, God, pray, or salute the American Flag.

The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every  Christian, especially knowing that the Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be converted, they should be annihilated !

Alexander the Great on man's most Precious Treasure

The Gift of Time

The last wishes of Alexander the Great--
On his death bed, Alexander summoned his army generals and told them his three ultimate wishes:
  • The best doctors should carry his coffin...
  • The wealth he has accumulated (money, gold, precious stones) should be scattered along the procession to the cemetery...
  • His hands should be let loose, so they hang outside the coffin for all to see !!
One of his generals who was surprised by these unusual requests asked Alexander to explain. Here is what Alexander the Great had to say:

1. "I want the best doctors to carry my coffin to demonstrate that in the face of death, even the best doctors in the world have no power to heal..."

2. "I want the road to be covered with my treasure so that everybody sees that material wealth acquired on earth, will stay on earth..."

3. I want my hands to swing in the wind, so that people understand that we come to this world empty handed and we leave this world empty handed after the most precious treasure of all is exhausted, and that is: TIME.

We do not take to our grave any material wealth. TIME is our most precious treasure because it is LIMITED. We can produce more wealth, but we cannot produce more time. When we give someone our time, we actually give a portion of our life that we will never take back . Our time is our life ! The best present that you can give to your family and friends is your TIME. May God grant you plenty of TIME, to share with all.

Meet Hope

Comment Up

A Christian’s definition of hope is far superior to that of the world. Instead of wishing or hoping for something to happen, a believer knows that their hope is solid, concrete evidence because it is grounded in the Word of God and we know that God cannot lie (Heb 6:18; Num 23:19).

Hope is my name and love is my game--

Trump the Trumpet?

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet.

Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election.

You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger.”

Double Religious Standard in America?

Comment Up

Christianity is taking a beating all over the world.  Christians are being beheaded and annihilated and now in our own country gays are taking action against Christians even though Christians represent 83% of the population in the U.S.  Gays on the other hand represent about 3.8%.

"Homosexuals who are behind a lawsuit against a Christian county employee in Kentucky for declining to issue marriage licenses for same-sex duos are trying to lash out with “irreversible and substantial harm” to her, according to a court filing in one of the first cases to develop since the U.S. Supreme Court created in its Obergefell decision a direct conflict between the new homosexual “marriage” right and the Constitution’s protection of freedom of religion." Read more... at WND.

What is strange about denying this Christian woman her Constitutional right of Freedom of Religion is the case that happened back in June when the U.S. Supreme Court  ruled in favor of a Muslim woman who was told by Abercrombie & Fitch that she couldn't wear her head scarf that she said she wore for religious reasons. This was decided on an 8/1 decision for the Muslim. Abercrombie's dress code didn't matter. It was all about freedom of religion.

Do Christians and Muslims live to a different religious standard in America? Gays don't get excited about Muslims, only Christians. Or is it as simple as the LGBT community being more and more anti-Christian because of their drive to be equal in the eyes of the church and force the church to accept gay marriage. The church is a body they feel they can attack as it preaches "turn the other cheek" and "love all people as yourself."  Muslims have a low tolerance for all infidels gay or straight.

We have seen it in our own city when a few Gays went after The Common Ground Church for defending itself against a code issue and they turned it into some sort of Gay issue. The Common Ground Church welcomes, with open arms, the GLBT community and preaches love, not hate. But that didn't matter when a few people including a commissioner decided to bring down a church and do a hatchet job on its pastor. There is no common ground here. Lake Worth's bully blogger is doing it to this day and the church still prays for him.

Giving Satan a Headache

When you carry the Bible, Satan gets a headache..... When you open it, he collapses..... When he sees you reading it, he faints..... When he sees that you are living what you read, he flees..... And when you are about to forward this message.... He will try and discourage you.. I just defeated him!!!

Sent to me by a good friend...thought you would enjoy this Sermon of the Day.

Ben Carson - God is in Charge

Comment Up

"I remember a few years back I was engaged in a debate in Hollywood with a leading atheist. This guy thinks anybody who believes in God is a total moron. As they got to the end of the conversation, you know, he is denigrating anybody who could believe in Creation" I said, “You know what? You win.  I believe I came from God, and you believe you came from a monkey. And you’ve convinced me you’re right.”

Blessed are the Peacemakers

Comment Up

King James 2000 Bible
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Matthew 5:9 says “Blessed are the peacemakers” and it would appear Pastor Clementa Pinckney was definitely one.

President Obama said, "Pinckney was a man who believed in things not seen, a man who believed there were better days ahead...he embodied a politics that was neither mean nor small. He conducted himself quietly and kindly and diligently.”

R.I.P. to him and the rest of the nine.

We are the Light

Comment Up

Jesus said we are to be the salt and the light in this world. Salt preserves and can bring healing. We are to speak the truth of God's Word to a society that is racing in the opposite direction, in moral decline, at warp speed. Jesus said that as lights, we are to shine brightly-up on a lampstand so everyone can see and not hidden under a basket.

Jesus instructs us, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16, NKJV).

God doesn't see color

"The world really needs to stop putting labels on people and things and see them as who they are: people doing jobs, doing things. Ignorance has no color. God doesn't see color. Why should we?"

~ Will Stack, Army National Guard

Quote of the Day - Bill O'Reilly

“The totalitarian left is pretty much out of control in America and that’s because the media, generally speaking, sympathizes with the Fascists, so if you’re against abortion, you’re not a person of conscience sticking up for the unborn, no, you’re against women, you’re declaring war on women’s reproductive rights. This is how the media spins it. If you’re against gay marriage because you believe in Scripture, it’s not that you’re a religious person, whose belief system should be respected, no, you’re a homophobe, you’re a bigot."

~ Bill O'Reilly

and for another quote--
The Right Planet :I think freedom itself is seriously threatened in America. When the term “political correctness” entered the lexicon, it signaled a move away from the freedom of expression toward censorship; lest one find themselves at odds with the capricious will of the mob. The First Amendment couldn’t be any clearer when it comes to the right of the individual to freely worship and practice their faith as they see fit: “Congress shall pass no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

Quote of the Day - Rev. Franklin Graham

Comment Up
“...I think it’s important for Muslims that are watching this program to know that we love them and pray for them, and I want Muslims everywhere to know that God loves them and he sent his Son from Heaven to this Earth, Jesus Christ, for them.”

“...one of the problems that we have in the West is that our governments, especially in Washington, have been infiltrated by Muslims who are advising the White House who I think are part of the problem. And we see this also in Western Europe. They have gotten into the halls of power and they are an influence.”

~ Rev. Franklin Graham
