A unanimous federal appeals panel ruled Friday that the Department of Homeland Security cannot deport immigrants to countries where they have no ties without first giving them notice and a real chance to object, a decision that hands open-borders advocates a procedural win while leaving the underlying enforcement authority intact.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit struck down a DHS policy that allowed the government to move quickly when sending immigrants to nations other than their home countries.

The three-judge panel, in an opinion written by Circuit Judge Seth Robert Aframe, (appointed by Joe Biden) held that deportees must know where they are being sent before the plane takes off, and must have a meaningful opportunity to argue against that destination.

The ruling lands squarely on the administration's expanding use of third-country deportation deals, which now number 35 nations, including the Central African Republic, Liberia, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.

DHS had relied on what it called "diplomatic assurances" from receiving governments that deportees would not be mistreated. The court found that those assurances, standing alone, did not satisfy the requirement that individuals be able to challenge a removal destination based on fear of persecution.

This wasn’t some guy who overstayed a visa and kept his nose clean. This was a career criminal who somehow remained in our country despite giving us every reason to show him the door.

Here’s where it gets infuriating. ICE had Domenech in custody in 2023. They had him. And the Biden Administration let him go.

A Lake Worth bakery owner is in federal custody after Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested him in what the agency is calling a targeted immigration operation — and his family, coworkers, and community members are pushing back on ICE's characterization of the man.

The arrest of Jacob Zapeta Castro happened at a Guatemalan bakery on Lucerne Avenue, just over the train tracks in Lake Worth Beach, on a day that employees say started like any other.

ICE says Zapeta Castro is "a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala who has been removed from the United States four times and has an extensive criminal history including illegal re-entry after deportation, multiple DUI arrests, hit and run, and resisting law enforcement."

According to ICE, officers encountered a vehicle associated with Zapeta Castro around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they attempted to stop him, the agency says he tried to ram an ICE vehicle, then got out, fled, and barricaded himself inside the bakery.

Mexican national arrested for allegedly attacking ICE agent during Orange County traffic stop

A Mexican national is facing a felony charge after he allegedly struck a federal agent and fled the scene during an Orange County traffic stop last week, prompting a multi-agency manhunt.

On Tuesday, June 16, the Florida Highway Patrol’s Criminal Alien Apprehension Team, working alongside U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Americana Boulevard and Pointe Vista Circle in Orange County, according to a media release from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).

During the traffic stop, multiple occupants reportedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot. An ICE agent pursued one of the fleeing subjects, identified as Elias Bautista, and attempted to detain him.

FLHSMV reported that Bautista, who authorities say entered the country illegally, actively resisted apprehension. A physical altercation ensued, and Bautista allegedly struck the ICE agent, causing the federal officer to sustain a “significant head injury.”

“ICE officers are facing a 1,300% increase in assaults, a 3,200% increase in vehicle attacks, and an 8,000% increase in death threats.

To make a long story short, they captured the SOB who fled again and who is charged with a felony.

FLHSMV Executive Director Dave Kerner: “We remain focused on ensuring that those who endanger our officers or our communities are held fully accountable, especially those who should have never been in our country to begin with.”

Jose “Joe” Ceballos-Armendariz, 55, turned himself in to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials at their Wichita office on Wednesday. He is now being held at the ICE-contracted Chase County Jail in Cottonwood Falls and could face deportation proceedings.

Ceballos is a Mexican national who has held a green card since 1990. He also served two terms as mayor of Coldwater, Kansas, a small conservative town in Comanche County with fewer than 700 residents. He was first elected in 2021 and then won re-election in 2025 with 83% of the vote.

The legal trouble became public the day after that re-election, when Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced felony election fraud charges. Court records show that Ceballos voted in multiple elections even though he knew he was not a U.S. citizen. Records also say he admitted during a January citizenship application that he had falsely claimed U.S. citizenship.

In April, Ceballos pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor counts of disorderly election conduct. The plea deal brought a $2,000 fine and one year of probation, but no jail time. He has said he believed his green card allowed him to vote and that he felt “misled” by the plea agreement.

A 39-year-old man in Minnesota was charged Monday with perjury and a voting violation after authorities said records showed he registered to vote in 2023 and then submitted a ballot in the 2024 election, despite not being a United States citizen.

Mukeshkumar Somabhai Chaudhari initially denied voting when investigators confronted him, Fox News Digital reported, but later admitted to casting a ballot and told them he "made a mistake."

The case lands in the middle of a national argument over how well states guard their voter rolls against illegal participation. Minnesota officials insist their system works. Critics say the state's own policies made this kind of breach predictable.

Chaudhari faces serious consequences. The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State told Fox News Digital that penalties for voting while ineligible may include deportation, a permanent bar on future citizenship, a fine of up to $10,000, and up to five years in prison.

For a man reportedly in the middle of a green card process, the felony charges could end more than just a legal case, they could end his ability to remain in the country.

According to the terms of the agreement, Nicol Suarez, a 31-year-old biological male who identifies as transgender, would be sentenced to six months, a sentence he has already served while awaiting trial, in exchange for pleading guilty to second-degree rape.

In New York, second-degree rape typically results in two to seven years behind bars.

What's more, Suarez has been accused of violent crimes — armed robbery, prostitution, and assault with a dangerous weapon — in Massachusetts, and the New York Post also alluded to possible outstanding charges in New Jersey.

The Trump Department of Homeland Security has slammed the lenient plea deal, calling the offered six-month sentence "insane."

On 18 March, 2025, Lashar Smith was apprehended by ICE agents at Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood International Airport for staying in the U. S. beyond her visa expiration date by more than ten years.

She was subsequently transferred to a detention facility in Baker County, Florida, and faced deportation proceedings under U.S. immigration law. Her partner, James Walkine, in a statement to the media, said that they were attempting to adjust her status through legal channels, but the process was hindered by bureaucratic delays.

I couldn't find any mainstream news sources which provide confirmation of the deportation outcome beyond the initial detention. Without official records (which for privacy reasons is not available to the public in individual immigration cases like this one), the facts at hand suggest that she might have been deported back in 2025. However, this is not confirmed.

As it turns out, her partner was also here illegally staying here beyond his Visa expiration date.

Sorocean and her accomplice beat their victim with a stick and electrical cable before throwing the person out a ninth-floor window.

A Moldovan court convicted Sorocean of premeditated murder with exceptional cruelty and sentenced her to 17 years in prison. Rather than face justice, Sorocean fled to the United States.

ICE arrested her on January 10, 2020 during President Trump's first term. But Sorocean gamed the system by filing multiple legal appeals and asylum claims to delay her removal.

Then the Biden administration took over in 2021. And in 2022, Biden's Department of Homeland Security released Sorocean back into American neighborhoods.

She walked free for three years while Trump was out of office. That changed when Trump returned to the White House in January 2025. ICE re-arrested Sorocean on November 4 in Los Angeles and she now sits in custody awaiting deportation.

Just days after arriving, a message warned him to avoid resistance contacts because he was “under surveillance for everything,” yet he still posted online with a handgun in early 2025, thumbing his nose at any notion of caution.

He was finally arrested on October 16, 2025.

On Tuesday – just a day before a gunman perpetrated a deadly attack seemingly targeting ICE officers in Dallas – NBC News published a story that accused Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents of holding a 5-year-old autistic girl outside her Massachusetts home to pressure her father into surrendering.

The network claimed Edwards Hip Mejia’s wife said her husband believed he was being followed, drove home, and that ICE agents then "grabbed" their daughter. Video footage from Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra showed the child sitting beside a law enforcement vehicle with several officers present outside the family’s Leominster, Massachusetts residence.

"They took my daughter, she’s 5 years old. She has autism spectrum," the mother can be heard saying in the video. "Give me my daughter back." NBC’s initial reporting suggested federal agents deliberately used the child to force her father’s cooperation. But there was a major problem with this story

DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin delivered a withering response that completely dismantled NBC’s narrative.

"Absolutely not. ICE agents NEVER used a 5-year-old girl as ‘bait’ – what a disgusting smear," McLaughlin posted on X. "The criminal illegal alien target – with previous arrests for domestic abuse and strangulation, among other charges – ABANDONED his own child in a car.

A man was shot and killed by ICE agents in the Chicago area after driving a car at an officer, immigration officials confirmed.

Officials named him as Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez and said he was in the country illegally,date unknown when he entered.

A video posted online showed the moment a lorry driver called police to report his vehicle had been hit by the man’s car in Franklin Park village, 15 miles north-west of Chicago.

“I’m a CDL (commercial driver’s licence) truck driver,” the driver says. “A car hit my trailer. I think ICE tried to pull him over and he crashed into my trailer.”

A spokesman for the department of homeland security (DHS) said Friday morning’s incident occurred during “an enforcement operation targeting a criminal illegal alien.”

He refused to follow law enforcement commands and drove his car at law enforcement officers,” said a DHS statement. “One of the ICE officers was hit by the car and dragged a significant distance. Fearing for his own life, the officer fired his weapon.”

Think about that for a second – California politicians decided that foreign nationals who broke federal law to get into our country should be rewarded with the privilege of operating motor vehicles on American roads.

And it gets worse.

This same broken system allowed Singh to get a commercial driver’s license to operate massive trucks, even though he couldn’t understand basic English road signs.

The state of California essentially handed a loaded weapon to someone who had no business being in this country, let alone driving a truck that can kill entire families.

Harjinder Singh, a truck driver and an undocumented immigrant from India, is accused of causing a fatal 18-wheeler crash on the Florida Turnpike on August 12, 2025. He killed three American citizens.

Attorney General James Uthmeier announced Thursday that his office will issue both civil and criminal subpoenas against White Hawk Carriers, the trucking company that employed Singh.
