Democrat Socialist about to be elected DC Mayor

D.C. Set to Elect Its First-Ever Democratic Socialist Mayor

Janeese Lewis George’s Record Is Even Worse Than You Thought

Janeese Lewis George’s rise in Washington, D.C., is not just a local mayoral story.

It is another warning flare from the Red-Green left. She is a DSA-backed democratic socialist with ties to anti-police activism, sanctuary politics, hard-left unions, Cuba-apologist networks, and the D.C. statehood movement.

The issue is not ordinary D.C. residents wanting representation. The issue is whether the nation’s capital becomes a socialist command post, where statehood is treated less like civic reform and more like a power play for two permanent hard-left Senate seats.

The likely new Mayor of D.C. beat an incumbent after being attacked for wanting to cut police in Ward 4 – and she won anyway.

Karen Bass breaks formal commitment to debate in Mayoral Forum

Karen Bass backs out of Los Angeles mayoral forum after signing commitment to attend

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass withdrew from a televised mayoral candidate forum scheduled for May 13 on FOX 11, just two weeks after she signed a document confirming she would be there.

The forum's co-sponsors, the League of Women Voters and the Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs, announced the pullout publicly and made clear they were not happy about it.

The withdrawal drew sharp criticism from organizers, who said voters deserved to see Bass face her opponents on live television during what they called "a period of extraordinary challenges" for the city. Her campaign offered a scheduling conflict as the reason. The timeline tells a different story.

Bass confirmed her attendance on April 22 by signing a formal commitment form for the 2026 Mayoral Candidate Forum. Organizers even posted a photograph of the signed document on Instagram.

Then, on May 7, her campaign pulled the plug, not because of a conflict flagged earlier, but with a blunt message relayed through a campaign consultant: they were "done with debates."

More on Mamdani

Mamdani's promised $1.7 billion in budget cuts collapses to just $200 million in actual savings

Mayor Zohran Mamdani's administration released a list of proposed budget savings on Wednesday totaling $200 million. The problem: he promised $1.7 billion.

That means City Hall has publicly accounted for roughly 12 cents of every dollar it pledged to cut from a bloated $127 billion proposed budget, with a $5.4 billion deficit bearing down on New York City taxpayers.

The list itself tells you everything you need to know about how seriously this administration takes fiscal discipline.

Among the highlighted savings: a $20,000 Slack messaging subscription at the Taxi and Limousine Commission. A $133,000 software change at NYC Emergency Management. The Economic Development Corporation will save $626,000 by bringing marketing in-house.

This is what passes for budgetary courage at City Hall.

The Mamdani of Seattle

Katie Wilson the Mandami of Seattle

Seattle's new socialist mayor declares solidarity with Somali daycare operators

Seattle’s political landscape just took a hard left turn with the inauguration of Katie Wilson, a self-proclaimed socialist mayor who’s already stirring the pot.

On her first day in office, Wilson, 43, delivered a fiery speech that pledged solidarity with Somali childcare providers while taking sharp jabs at Donald Trump and the Republican Party over a daycare fraud scandal in Minnesota, as the Daily Mail reports.

Wilson’s rise to power came after defeating incumbent Mayor Bruce Harrell, riding a wave of promises to tackle affordability, homelessness, and tax the wealthy with no intention of softening her radical proposals.

Voters believe Mamdani will burn down New York City but will vote for him anyway

NYC Voters Predict Crime and Economic Disaster Under Frontrunner Mamdani, Poll Him to Win Anyway

There’s a peculiar phenomenon in nature where lemmings supposedly march off cliffs in mass suicide. While that myth has been debunked, something eerily similar is happening in New York City, where voters appear ready to elect their own economic executioner.

Zohran Mamdani, the 34-year-old democratic socialist, commands a commanding 15-point lead in the mayoral race, polling at 46 percent to Andrew Cuomo’s 31 percent. His platform reads like a Bernie Sanders fever dream: rent freezes, free bus services, fully-funded daycare, city-owned grocery stores, and a $30 minimum wage. Young voters under 30 give him an astronomical 35-point advantage.

The Uganda-born assemblyman, who attended a Manhattan private school now charging $66,000 annually—let that sink in for a moment—plans to fund his socialist utopia through a 2 percent tax on millionaires and hiking corporate rates from 7.25 to 11.5 percent.

Who better to lead the working class revolution, right? Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have been stumping for him at packed rallies, presenting him as the future of the Democratic Party.

But here’s where the story takes a stunning turn. The same New Yorkers preparing to hand Mamdani the keys to City Hall believe he’s going to burn it down. A Daily Mail/JL Partners poll revealed that 47 percent of voters think crime and violence will worsen under his leadership, with only 32 percent believing the city will be safer.

The numbers get worse: 43 percent expect businesses to shutter and flee, while 45 percent predict antisemitism will increase—remarkably, even among Mamdani’s own supporters, more think he’ll worsen rather than improve antisemitic violence.

Phily Mayor Who Thinks “Diversity” Means Flying the Enemy’s Flag

Philadelphia Mayor Wants to Raise the CCP Flag—Because Apparently Spelling “Eagles” Was Too Hard

Philadelphia’s mayor, Cherelle Parker, apparently thinks the best way to celebrate “Diversity Day” is by raising the flag of the Chinese Communist Party over City Hall. You read that right.

The same city that gave us the Declaration of Independence is now preparing to hoist the banner of oppression and tyranny—as if that’s some kind of cultural enrichment. Someone should remind her that “diversity” doesn’t mean bowing down to Beijing.

The Birthplace of Freedom Now Bending the Knee

This is Philadelphia—the birthplace of the American experiment. The city where the Founders told a king to shove it, where liberty was printed on John Dunlap’s press, where Betsy Ross stitched the first American flag. And now? Mayor Parker wants to swap Old Glory for the red rag of the CCP.

That’s not diversity—that’s disgrace. It’s like putting up a “No Freedom Allowed” sign in front of Independence Hall.

Protocol under a Strong Mayor form of Government

Why was a West Palm commissioner blocked from meeting with police chief as budget vote nears?

A West Palm Beach commissioner wanted to discuss the budget with the city's police chief. The mayor said no

A West Palm Beach city commissioner was barred by the mayor from meeting with the city’s police chief as she and fellow commissioners work to finalize the city’s annual budget.

Commissioner Cathleen Ward told her colleagues Tuesday, Sept. 2 that she asked to meet with Police Chief Tony Araujo to discuss the financial needs of the police department, which wants a budget increase to hire more than two dozen additional officers.

But the meeting request was blocked by Mayor Keith James, who told Ward she would have to submit any questions for the chief in writing to his administration instead.

“It was dismaying to hear that as a commissioner I can’t meet with our police chief,” Ward said. “Especially before we adopt the budget, which is one of the strongest powers we have here.”

Chicago mayor says "NO" to the Federal Government to help curb out-of-control Crime

Chicago Mayor Signs Order to Block Possible Troop Deployment

Mayor Brandon Johnson directed city agencies not to aid federal immigration crackdowns and urged President Donald Trump to ’stand down' from sending forces

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has signed an executive order authorizing “immediate, drastic action” to respond to what he said could be a looming military deployment by the Trump administration to the city.

“I am signing an executive order that directs all of our City’s departments to protect Chicagoans and not collaborate with federal overreach,” Johnson said in an Aug. 30 post on X.

At an Aug. 30 press conference, Johnson added that his order “affirms” that Chicago police will not “collaborate with military personnel or civil immigration enforcement.”

The mayor’s order bars city police from assisting federal agents in immigration or joint patrols, calls on federal officers to identify themselves and wear body cameras, and directs city departments to explore legal and legislative steps to resist federal actions. It also urges President Donald Trump to “stand down” from deploying troops.

“We will not have our police officers, who are working hard every single day to drive down crime, deputized to do traffic stops and check stops for the president,” he said, adding that, “we do not want to see tanks on our streets.”

The Democrat Marxist Communist Nominee for NYC mayor

Mamdani, in New Interview, Calls Israelis Child-Killers

Mayoral candidate abandons affordability to lash out at U.S.-funded Gaza “horror”

The Democratic Party’s mayoral candidate in New York City, Zohran Mamdani, is intensifying his anti-Israel rhetoric with new comments blaming Israeli soldiers for killing and maiming children in Gaza.

The winner of New York's Democratic primary says, if elected mayor of the city, he'll arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he ever sets foot in the city.

Zohran Mamdani also declined to condemn the phrase "globalize the intifada" three times on NBC's Meet the Press, a slogan which means a worldwide attack against Israel and the Jewish people. "Ultimately, it's not language that I use, it's language I understand there are concerns about, and what I will do is showcase my vision for the city through my words and my actions," he said.

Mamdani has posted on social media a comedy video making fun of Hanukah and has also been an outspoken supporter of the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement, which seeks to isolate and destroy Israel.

Blue State Democrat Governors/Mayors say "we will resist ICE"

Chicago Mayor Urges City To ‘Resist’ Looming Trump Immigration Crackdown

This guy is worse than Lori Lightfoot and that's saying something!

Democratic Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson urged city residents on Wednesday to “resist” the Trump administration as it escalates its immigration enforcement operations nationwide, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Speaking at a Wednesday news conference, Johnson condemned President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy federal troops to help control the riots in Los Angeles, which were triggered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in the city. The mayor referred to the federal crackdown as a “war on our culture” (what the hell does that mean?)and urged city residents to take action, the Tribune reported.

“I am counting on all of Chicago to resist in this moment. Because whatever particular vulnerable group is targeted today, another group will be next,” Johnson said, according to the Tribune. “This is a necessary fight for all of us to be able to push back. Whether we use the courts or whether we continue to protest or raise our voices, dissent matters in this moment. Look, [Trump] is abusing his power. We warned people though. You all know we warned people.”

On Thursday, Democratic Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker appeared before the House Oversight Committee, along with Democratic governors of other “sanctuary states,” including Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, to defend their policies.

Andrew Cuomo's Campaign fined and under Investigation

Andrew Cuomo hit with financial penalties in NYC mayoral race

In a twist of events, New York City mayoral candidate and former governor Andrew Cuomo faces significant financial penalties amid his campaign.

Newsmax reported that Cuomo, once again the focus of controversy, has been fined a substantial amount by the New York City Campaign Finance Board over allegations of improper coordination with a Political Action Committee (PAC).

The issue centers around a specific PAC called "Fix the City." Cuomo has been accused of coordinating efforts with this PAC, an action that violates established campaign finance rules.

The allegations stem from activities carried out during his ongoing mayoral campaign.

The New York City Campaign Finance Board recently imposed a second fine of $675,000 on Cuomo. This comes only two weeks after a previous penalty was levied against him.

The earlier fine, amounting to $622,056, was for an advertisement aired by "Fix the City," which was suspected to have been produced in collaboration with Cuomo's campaign team.

Attorney General Warns Democrat Mayors harboring illegals

Attorney General Bondi challenges Illinois and New York on immigration compliance

A heated exchange between Attorney General Pam Bondi and Democratic governors intensifies the ongoing federal-state conflict over immigration enforcement.

According to Fox News, Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a stark warning to the governors of Illinois and New York, demanding compliance with federal immigration laws and threatening consequences for protecting undocumented immigrants from deportation.

The newly appointed Attorney General, who took office on February 5, 2025, emphasized her commitment to prioritizing violent crime reduction while addressing immigration enforcement. She specifically targeted sanctuary jurisdictions that resist cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

The Department of Justice has initiated legal proceedings against states failing to comply with federal immigration enforcement requirements. This marks a new phase in the administration's approach to immigration policy enforcement.

Bondi articulated her position during her Fox News appearance with a direct message. She stated: "We are sick and tired of Americans being murdered and these states protecting illegal aliens."

The confrontation between federal and state authorities continues to escalate as both sides maintain their positions on immigration enforcement authority and states' rights.

Sanctuary City will defy Trump

‘They Make Our Economy Run’: Dem Scrambles To Keep Illegals Against America’s Will

Liberal Los Angeles Councilman Boasts About City’s Large Undocumented Population, Claims They Make Economy Run

Los Angeles Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez appeared on CNN News Central, where he boasted about the city’s “largest undocumented population” and their contributions to the economy.

Soto-Martinez side-stepped co-host John Berman’s question about whether he was out of touch with the American people, given President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.

The councilman defended the move to declare Los Angeles a sanctuary city, claiming that they are “speaking to the issues” that working people face, such as increasing cost of living and lack of affordable housing.

However, when pressed about whether this move goes against Trump’s promise of mass deportations, Soto-Martinez shifted the focus to the president’s policies on immigration and the nomination of a “border czar” who put kids in cages.

He then claimed that going against these policies is “the correct thing” to do, especially in a city like Los Angeles with a large undocumented population that “makes our economy run.”

Once Trump takes office on January 20, all federal funds to sanctuary cities will cease and then Mr. Soto-Martinez can see how the illegal population helps his city.

Compass' to honor our Mayor who dishonored our former Mayors

Four Days of Festivities Leading to Compass Stonewall Ball in WPB

Compass LGBTQ+ Community Center is closing out Pride Month with their Stonewall Ball, which has been ongoing for over 20 years. The event will take place June 29 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Hilton West Palm Beach.

The theme for this year, "Love, Lights, & Liberation," celebrates the love and light brought by the LGBTQ community.

Compass will be honoring Lake Worth Beach Mayor Betty Resch with the Compass Leadership Award and Youth Program Mentor Rudolph R. Galindo with the Michel Brown Faces of the Community Award.

Read about it...

Our "into diversity" Mayor is being honored by Compass but she has totally dishonored our previous Lake Worth mayors. She disrespected them by removing their portraits at City Hall which was a wallop  to all those who served for our city and made it what it is today. She referred to them as "old dead guys."

She made this decision by "consensus"...although the only commissioner who agreed with her on this was Sarah Malega. Mimi May said ok if the walls were painted some shade of blue.

Nothing on the agenda; public could not weigh in and I have to wonder if this is sort of like Biden's Executive Orders, you know, going around Congress to get his way... or those liberals tearing down statutes of important historical figures (old dead men) removing our history.

Insanity persists in Blue Cities

Denver’s Democratic Mayor Mike Johnston is to make severe cuts to policing and other essential public services

Why? To pay for this blue city’s growing illegal immigrant population

Johnston announced a $45 million package for immigrants this year, including $8 million slashed from the police department’s budget.

The funds will add to the $44 million already set aside for new arrivals to the Colorado capital, which saw its migrant expenses jump from $2 million in August to $15 million in December.

The Mayor said his own office will endure a 10% cut, but other public services must also tighten their belts. The fire department, for example, is set to lose $2.5 million.

The mayor wants to treat "newcomers" with dignity. Call them what they are--ILLEGALS who now will be treated better than poor American citizens.

San Francisco Mayor in China

San Francisco mayor dines with, accepts stuffed panda from, Chinese influence operatives

Wrapping up week-long trip visiting several Chinese cities

San Francisco Mayor London Breed dined with the head of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) influence group in China on Thursday, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of that organization’s website and social media account.

Breed arrived in China on April 13 for an approximately week-long trip visiting several Chinese cities, which will wrap up on April 21, according to her office.

Breed visited the Beijing headquarters of the Chinese People’s Association For Friendship With Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) on Thursday and met with CPAFFC Party secretary and chairman Yang Wanming, according to the organization’s Chinese-language website and social media account, which the DCNF translated.

CPAFFC is a central cog in China’s influence operations; in October 2020, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo characterized CPAFFC as “a Beijing-based organization tasked with co-opting subnational governments, [which] has sought to directly and malignly influence state and local leaders to promote the PRC’s global agenda.”
