Miss America Pageant makes West Palm Beach its new home
The Miss America Organization has announced that its historic pageant will take place in West Palm Beach this year, running from Aug. 28 through Sept. 6, with events hosted across downtown venues.
The competition will be held at the Kravis Center, the Palm Beach County Convention Center, and the Hilton West Palm Beach. Officials with Discover the Palm Beaches said the annual event is expected to attract thousands of visitors and generate millions of dollars in economic impact for local businesses.
"Having Miss America in West Palm Beach and at the Palm Beach is key, number one. It's a testament that our destination is attracting iconic events like this one," said Milton Segarra, CEO of Discover the Palm Beaches.
Miss America CEO Robin Fleming said the area met all the criteria the organization was looking for in a host city, including its facilities, restaurants, and shopping options.
"You have easy access to shopping, dining, the beaches, numerous cultural events, and of course, the Kravis Center is a world-class theater. And the Palm Beach Convention Center is state-of-the-art," Fleming said.
This year’s event marks the 105th anniversary of the Miss America pageant. For most of its history, the competition was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, before moving to other cities in recent years.
James O'Keefe given Restraining Order at his West Palm Beach headquarters
James O'Keefe gets served restraining order by sheriff while broadcasting live on air.
'He is one of the most evil people I've ever known. He even shot up my book with rifle bullets through my heart on the cover. The audacity of evil has no bounds,' said O'Keefe.
On Monday, a law enforcement officer showed up to the O'Keefe Media Group headquarters looking for James. "Police showed up at my office looking for me," James O'Keefe said on Monday. "We don't know what this is about," he said.
On Tuesday, the Sheriff came back to the OMG headquarters and served James with a domestic violence restraining order.
The domestic violence restraining order was from Matthew Tyrmand, a former Project Veritas board member.
"Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department just served me with a domestic violence restraining order from Matthew Tyrmand. The former board member from Project Veritas who said he wants to murder me," James O'Keefe said.

Man arrested after allegedly driving SUV at LGBTQIA+ running club members in West Palm Beach
A 43-year-old man was arrested Monday night after police say he drove a sport-utility vehicle at members of a local LGBTQIA+ running club in West Palm Beach, made multiple attempts to strike them and then fled the scene.
The West Palm Beach Police Department responded about 8:20 p.m. to a park along the 1300 block of Parker Avenue after members of the running club reported that a driver in a Ford Bronco accelerated toward the group.
Witnesses told officers the driver made a second attempt to hit runners, then drove recklessly across sidewalks, through grass and up an embankment before leaving eastbound on Okeechobee Boulevard, according to the department.
Officers issued a lookout for the described vehicle and shortly afterward observed a person matching the suspect's description pull into a parking garage in the 700 block of North Dixie Highway and remove the vehicle's license plate.
Police say they took the driver, identified as Ihab Mustafa El Mahmoud, into custody in the garage without incident.
FBI Director Says Hunting Stand Found Near Trump’s Air Force One Exit Area
Both the Secret Service and FBI are investigating the matter, officials said.
FBI Director Kash Patel and the Secret Service confirmed that a hunting stand with a line of sight to an Air Force One exit area was found near the Palm Beach Airport before President Donald Trump was set to arrive.
In a post on X on Oct. 19, Patel confirmed an exclusive statement to Fox News that the FBI and Secret Service (USSS) are investigating the matter. No person has been linked to the stand, he said.
“USSS spotted a suspicious stand near the AF1 zone in Palm Beach. The FBI is investigating,” Patel wrote on X, also linking to his interview with Fox News.
“Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” Patel told the outlet. “No individuals were located at the scene.
The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”
Why was a West Palm commissioner blocked from meeting with police chief as budget vote nears?
A West Palm Beach commissioner wanted to discuss the budget with the city's police chief. The mayor said no
A West Palm Beach city commissioner was barred by the mayor from meeting with the city’s police chief as she and fellow commissioners work to finalize the city’s annual budget.
Commissioner Cathleen Ward told her colleagues Tuesday, Sept. 2 that she asked to meet with Police Chief Tony Araujo to discuss the financial needs of the police department, which wants a budget increase to hire more than two dozen additional officers.
But the meeting request was blocked by Mayor Keith James, who told Ward she would have to submit any questions for the chief in writing to his administration instead.
“It was dismaying to hear that as a commissioner I can’t meet with our police chief,” Ward said. “Especially before we adopt the budget, which is one of the strongest powers we have here.”
AI: "West Palm Beach has a strong mayor form of government, where the Mayor is the city's Chief Executive Officer and leads the administrative structure, as opposed to a city council holding the stronger position. Mayor Keith A. James is the city's first "strong mayor" and holds significant executive power, directing city departments and making key decisions."
A longtime judge is stepping down from South Florida's district bench
This gives President Donald Trump another opportunity to shape one of the nation's busiest federal courts.
U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg, appointed by Barack Obama in 2014, stepped down in August to become director of the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C.
Her departure comes one month before the President George W. Bush-appointed Judge Kenneth Marra retires, leaving only Judge Donald Middlebrooks, appointed by President Bill Clinton, at the Paul G. Rogers Federal Building in downtown West Palm Beach.
Already, the two-term GOP president has named five of the 17 active judges in the district. After the Senate confirms whoever Trump picks to replace Rosenberg, Trump will have named 35% of the active judges, not including the 12 who are on senior status.
When Rosenberg is replaced, the partisan makeup of the court will flip. Nine of the judges will have been appointed by Republicans and eight by Democrats.
Protesters denounce Musk, DOGE outside Tesla showroom
Plenty of nut cases in Palm Beach County...all Democrats and Marxists
"Protesters lined up outside the Tesla showroom in President Donald Trump's home county on Saturday were met by honks, mainly in support.
A car drove into where the protesters were assembled and the driver was arrested. He said he worked at the Tesla Showroom.
On Friday, Trump posted on his social media platform that the "sick terrorist thugs" causing physical damage should get "20 year sentences."
Saturday's protest, the first of six planned for every Saturday through April 26, was a peaceful gathering outside the West Palm Beach Tesla location.
The rally, organized by the Democratic Progressive Caucus, was the latest in a series of demonstrations against Musk, his federal budget chainsawing and his Tesla auto company, which has become a flashpoint on the political spectrum."
Why are Democrats all fired up and against the elimination of fraud, waste and abuse in our federal government? Do they really want to see America fail?
West Palm Beach Police release video of suspect breaking into City Hall, rolling on floor and leaving cocaine behind
Jake Machado, from Lake Worth Beach, pried open locked City Hall doors with his hands
West Palm Beach police arrested a Lake Worth Beach man they said broke into City Hall, stripped off most of his clothes and left a baggie of cocaine on the chamber floor.
Police said surveillance video showed Jake Machado walking down the hall toward City Council Chambers at 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, banging on the chamber door and then going inside.
According to the arrest report, he wandered around downtown, trying to force doors of other businesses, before ending up naked at the Tri-Rail station.

Crime, homelessness, antisemitism: WPB mayor delivers 5th annual State of the City Address
West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James delivered the fifth annual State of the City Address Thursday morning.
Some of the main topics James touched on was violent crimes, homelessness, economic growth, residential development, infrastructure improvements and inclusivity for all demographics in the city. Also, he brought up antisemitism.
James said a notable antisemitic incident occurred this time a year ago, when two masked men used a projector to reveal a swastika and other hateful messages on the AT&T building downtown. More acts of hate were seen in other parts of the community through the rest of the year, but the mayor says it will not be tolerated in 2024.
“We swiftly implemented measures to combat hateful acts, sending a clear act that west palm beach stands firmly against discrimination and hate of any type. Not here, not in our city. Not on our watch,” said James.
The city adopted an ordinance that would result in jail time and fines for anyone who participates in this kind of hate. I think Lake Worth Beach should as well.
Lois Frankel’s thuggery gone wild, threatens business owner over GOP poster
"I'll never eat here again," shouts Lois
Democrat Congresswoman Lois Frankel was recently caught on video harassing and threatening a small business owner in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Frankel erupted in anger because the business was displaying a flyer in support of Republican Deborah Academy (sp), who’s seeking her party’s nomination to oppose Frankel in the general election.
Richard Cline, the owner of the local diner in Florida, said that he had happily served Frankel for many years as a customer, despite completely disagreeing with her politics. Kline believes that Frankel was notified about the picture by a customer who had questioned Kline’s son about the poster.
Another day another fake news attack on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis fails.
Recently, DeSantis announced that he would be opening COVID clinics that will provide antibody treatments and Regeneron for anyone diagnosed with the coronavirus.
The goal is to make more treatment options available and reduce the amount of hospitalizations.
Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the State of Florida opened a new monoclonal antibody therapy treatment site at West Gate Park in West Palm Beach. This location has the capacity to serve more than 300 patients per day and will be open every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Read about it... and the left-wing media's response to our great governor.
"America’s most infamous Mother, Casey Anthony, has filed the necessary paperwork in West Palm Beach, Florida to start her own Private Investigation firm. Perhaps she’ll become the go-to Investigator specializing in missing children?"
Back in 2017 she was spotted at an anti-Trump rally near Mar-A-Lago.

George Floyd protesters move off I-95, but highway not officially reopened yet
A few hours ago, we got ALERTS on our cell phones as well as on all television stations--I-95 had been closed from Palm Beach Lakes Blvd to Southern Boulevard.
Why?
Protesters were walking down the highway blocking all 5 lanes of traffic.
