Guilty on 25 out of 27 Ethics Violations
Indicted Democrat Cherfilus-McCormick resigns from Congress minutes before ethics hearing
Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick quit the House on Tuesday afternoon, minutes before a House Ethics Committee hearing was set to recommend sanctions against her and days before a near-certain expulsion vote. The Florida Democrat, facing a 15-count federal criminal indictment over an alleged $5 million FEMA fraud scheme, posted her resignation on social media and was not on the House floor when it was read aloud.
Her exit marks the third congressional resignation in a single week--Democrat Eric Swalwell and Republican Tony Gonzales, and ends a saga that saw bipartisan calls for her removal, a grand jury indictment, and an ethics panel finding that she committed 25 of 27 alleged violations. The timing, just before the committee could formally act, stripped the panel of jurisdiction and spared Cherfilus-McCormick a public sanctions hearing.
House Ethics Chairman Michael Guest, R-Miss., confirmed the committee lost its authority the moment she resigned.
"In light of Ms. McCormick's resignation earlier today, the Committee on Ethics has now lost jurisdiction on this matter. There will not be a sanctions hearing."The ethics case against Cherfilus-McCormick stretched more than two years. Committee staff reviewed tens of thousands of documents before the panel found in March what it called "clear and convincing evidence" that the congresswoman misused federal disaster relief money improperly paid to her family's healthcare company.
Federal prosecutors allege she stole $5 million in FEMA relief funds through the company and used some of the money to support her 2022 special election campaign.
A special House Ethics Committee panel ultimately found her guilty on 25 of 27 ethics violations after a lengthy investigation, including campaign finance-related misconduct tied to millions of dollars routed through businesses and family members.

Kent Resignation Letter Stunt
Former Trump deputy chief of staff says Joe Kent was about to be fired before resignation stunt over Iran
Joe Kent, a key deputy to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, posted a resignation letter on X on Tuesday declaring he could no longer serve in the administration. His stated reason: opposition to the "ongoing war in Iran."Within hours, a former top White House official was publicly suggesting Kent didn't quit on principle. He was about to get shown the door.
Taylor Budowich, President Trump's former deputy chief of staff, wasted no time torching Kent's exit on X:
"Joe Kent is a crazed egomaniac who was often at the center of national security leaks, while rarely (never?) producing any actual work."The drama of posting your resignation letter on social media tells you everything about the intended audience. This was performance, not principle.
"He spent all of his time working to subvert the chain of command and undermine the President of the United States."
Budowich's conclusion was blunt:
"This isn't some principled resignation — he just wanted to make a splash before getting canned. What a loser."

Feds have lost Minnesota
Mass resignations leave questions about government’s ability to prosecute fraud in Minnesota
Federal prosecutors have resigned from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minnesota, and officials have provided few details about whether they are equipped to prosecute fraud.Under Gov. Tim Walz, Minnesota has developed a national reputation for its failure to stop the large-scale welfare fraud that has occurred in the state. The topic has become such a big political issue that Walz was essentially ushered into an early retirement because of it.
The fraud saga includes the $250 million Feeding Our Future scheme as well as fraud in state-run, Medicaid-funded programs. Last year, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota estimated that fraud in those state-run programs could exceed $9 billion since 2018.
Both the discovery and prosecution of that fraud have come from federal, not state, entities. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota has charged and convicted dozens of individuals in connection with the fraud; the overwhelming majority of whom are Somali.
However, the U.S. Attorney’s Office was recently decimated after the office’s top fraud prosecutor resigned in January alongside other federal prosecutors. Today, the Minnesota Star Tribune has reported that even more federal prosecutors have resigned.
Earlier this month, CBS reported that the Pentagon is planning to send military attorneys to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota to assist with fraud prosecutions. CBS reported that the military attorneys’ assignment would begin in March.

Recruiter of Mamdani's leadership resigns
Mamdani Appointee Resigns Over Resurfaced Antisemitic, Anti-Police, And Anti-White Posts
You can learn everything you need to know about a leader by watching who they surround themselves with. For New York City’s incoming socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani, that lesson arrived before he even took the oath of office.Mamdani’s November victory made history; he’ll become the city’s first Muslim mayor when he’s sworn in on January 1. But the celebration was tempered by deep unease among New York’s Jewish community, the largest outside of Israel.
Exit polls confirmed what many suspected: most Jewish voters rejected Mamdani. The Anti-Defamation League was so concerned they launched a tracker to monitor his administration’s policies the day after his election.
Given this scrutiny, you’d think Mamdani’s transition team would exercise extraordinary care in vetting appointments. …but you’d be wrong.
On Wednesday, Mamdani proudly announced Catherine Almonte Da Costa as his Director of Appointments—the person responsible for recruiting leadership across his entire administration. By Thursday afternoon, she had resigned in disgrace after researchers unearthed a trail of antisemitic social media posts.

FDNY Robert Tucker's Exit: A Clash of Principles
FDNY chief Robert Tucker resigns over ideological differences with Mayor-elect Mamdani
New York City's FDNY Commissioner Robert S. Tucker has dropped a bombshell by stepping down just one day after Zohran Mamdani clinched the mayoral race, as CBS News reports.Tucker's resignation, announced on Nov. 5, stems from deep ideological rifts with the incoming mayor, reflecting broader concerns among some Jewish New Yorkers and first responders about Mamdani's positions.
Appointed as FDNY Commissioner in August 2024, Tucker didn’t waste time making his exit known. In his first post-resignation interview with CBS Mornings, he hinted at a profound disconnect with Mamdani’s worldview. And let’s just say, this isn’t about a mere difference in coffee preferences.
Among the sticking points for Tucker, who is Jewish, is Mamdani’s refusal to back Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. This stance has rattled many in the Jewish community, with exit polls showing a mere 31% of Jewish voters supported Mamdani, while 65% threw their weight behind independent rival Andrew Cuomo.

Jerome Powell is determined to finish his Term
Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell declines to step down
Hold onto your wallets, folks -- Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is digging in his heels despite a storm of pressure from the White House to pack his bags, as the Daily Caller reports.Reports surfaced on Friday from CNN (Fake News regarding Trump...can anyone believe what CNN says?) that Powell is standing firm against calls from President Donald Trump for him to resign. Several Republicans want him to resign over his reluctance to cut interest rates, with the Fed chair quietly assuring close allies he plans to serve until his term ends in May 2026.
This saga kicked off in recent months as Trump and other GOP figures ramped up their criticism of Powell’s monetary policy decisions. They argue that slashing rates could spur economic growth, but Powell isn’t budging. It’s a classic standoff between political demands and central bank independence.
Read about it...
Trump has said that firing Powell is not necessary...he should just cut interest rates. So, Trump has not pressured Jerome Powell to resign although many Reublicans have suggested that.
The president said Tuesday he doesn’t think Powell should resign before his term is up in May but bashed him for not lowering interest rates.

Kash Patel responds to Rumrs about his Resignation
Kash Patel Denies Resignation Rumors
Director of the FBI Kash Patel broke his silence on Saturday over the controversy surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein files, asserting that related “conspiracy theories just aren’t true.”The Department of Justice (DOJ) recently announced there was no evidence to prove that Epstein had a client list, had blackmailed powerful people, or had been murdered. The revelations have come under fire from some politicos and others online who suggest government officials are not revealing the full trust or misled the public with past statements.
Additionally, it’s been rumored that Patel, along with FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, do not want to work with Attorney General Pam Bondi and were considering leaving if she remains at her post.
“The conspiracy theories just aren’t true, never have been,” Patel said Saturday on X. “It’s an honor to serve the President of the United States [Donald Trump] — and I’ll continue to do so for as long as he calls on me.”

Producer of 60 Minutes resigned
‘60 Minutes’ Gives Statement After Producer Resigns
In a stunning on-air moment that shook the foundations of broadcast journalism, veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley closed Sunday’s broadcast with a powerful tribute—and a pointed rebuke. The resignation of longtime producer Bill Owens, after nearly four decades with CBS News, was not just a professional goodbye; it was a rallying cry for the embattled independence of one of America’s most iconic news programs.
Owens’ departure comes at a time of immense corporate turmoil. As Paramount, the parent company of CBS, pushes to complete a major merger that requires approval from the Trump administration, editorial independence at “60 Minutes” has come under unexpected scrutiny.
Paramount’s entanglement with a $20 billion lawsuit filed by former President Donald Trump only raises the stakes higher. Trump accuses CBS of election interference, alleging deceptive editing of an interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris during the crucial weeks leading up to the 2024 election.

Another "woke" influencer bites the dust
Woke leader of Scientific American quits after delivering viral anti-Trump screed
The woke editorial chief of the Scientific American, apparently the nation's oldest magazine with a launch date of 1845, has delivered a vitriolic anti-Trump screed. And then quit.
Laura Helmuth, the woke imbecile who destroyed the once celebrated Scientific American by turning it into a woke propagandist rag, has resigned. Pressure from X, notably from Elon Musk, likely forced her resignation.
The departure was announced in a post on a leftist social media side.
"I've decided to leave Scientific American after an exciting 4.5 years as editor in chief. I'm going to take some time to think about what comes next (and go bird watching), but for now I'd like to share a very small sample of the work I've been so proud to support," she wrote.

Leslie Stahl interviews Nancy Pelosi on Joe Biden Resignation
“Please tell us what you told President Biden to persuade him to step aside,” Stahl began.
“Well, I’ve never shared any conversations with a president of the United States publicly,” Pelosi parried.“It’s said that he’s furious at you. Is he?” Stahl countered.
“Well, he knows that I love him very much,” was all Pelosi said.
“I understand that you don’t want to own this, but it is so well reported that you were the leader of a pressure campaign,” Stahl persisted.
“No, I wasn’t a leader,” Pelosi denied, adding that she’d rather “say things that [she] didn't do.”
“I didn’t call one person. I could always say to [Biden] I never called anybody. What I'm saying is I had confidence that the president would make the proper choice for our country – whatever that would be, and I said that. Whatever that is, we’ll go with,” the former speaker of the House maintained.
A look of utter shock spread across Stahl’s face as Pelosi refused to acknowledge her role in ousting Biden.

Fox's Lead Legal Counsel stepping down
Top Fox News legal officer announces resignation following Dominion lawsuit settlement
"Since the departure of Tucker Carlson, the network's ratings king, and sole truth-teller, Fox News has had a rough year, to say the least.According to NBC News, in the wake of a $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, the network's chief legal officer has announced his exit from the network's ranks and will instead become a special adviser.
Viet Dinh, Fox's chief legal and policy officer, said he'd step down from his executive roles at what used to be the consistently top-rated news network by the end of the year. Fox News will reportedly pay him a handsome $23 million severance package. He'll also earn another $5 million total for his two-year contract as a special adviser to the network."
Viet Dinh served as Assistant Attorney General from 2001 to 2003, where he worked primarily on federal legal policy. Dinh played a significant role in developing the USA PATRIOT Act, a controversial act signed into law by President Bush, which expanded the investigative and prosecutorial power of the federal government in matters of national security. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1993.

2 Prosecutors Forced Out Over Corruption
Democrats are wincing. Their criminal justice reform movement suffered a significant setback when two of its most high-profile progressive prosecutors, Kim Gardner of St. Louis and Rachael Rollins of Boston, unexpectedly resigned.Gardner and Rollins are two who made national news for lessening prison sentences, promoting restorative justice, and holding police departments accountable. Both rose in prominence during the Trump years, because they were actively fighting the White House.
Although their resignations were not directly connected, the two prosecutors’ respective troubles show the two are poor leaders and crooked. They're DIMS, so who's surprised?!

He has an interesting point of view on the latest news of Biden’s classified documents scandal. With the revelation of more sensitive documents being found at Biden’s Delaware home, McCaul likened the situation to the Watergate scandal of the Nixon White House.
It eventually led to the president’s resignation who was kept in the dark about it. It was the cover-up that caused his demise.

I don't think Biden will resign. Everything points to him running again as he beat Donald Trump once and believes he can do it again. His ego is too great to resign, even if there really is a lot of there, there! If anything, he would be forced out by his own Party.
