DEA: Crystal meth use on the rise in South Florida
DEA agents have arrested three men for conspiring to distribute crystal meth in West Palm Beach and they're all Mexican nationalos.
Now that Joe Biden is screwing around with our border security, more and more of this will be happening. They love Lake Worth (Beach) were the city has encouraged illegals by declaring us a "Welcoming City."
“It (crystal meth) creates a very intense rush feeling, so it makes it quite addictive honestly. People get addicted very quickly to it,” said Matthew Beehner, patient care coordinator at Retreat Behavioral Health in Lake Worth Beach. (Actually the facility is in Palm Springs...AND the name change of our city hasn't done a damn thing to improve our image.)
In the federal code, 18 U.S.C. Section 1324 defines the crime of “bringing in and harboring certain aliens.”
Under this federal law, a defendant could be charged for:
Bringing, or attempting to bring, someone to the U.S. outside of a designated point-of-entry, despite knowing that person is an alien.
Transporting, moving, or attempting to transport or move someone who you know has entered the U.S. illegally, or who you should know has entered the country illegally.
Concealing, harboring, or shielding an alien from detection, or attempting to shield an alien from detection, in a building or any vehicle despite knowing the alien entered the country in violation of U.S. immigration laws.
Encouraging an alien to come to the U.S. or to reside in the U.S. despite knowing this will be a violation of the law.
Aiding or abetting any of these actions, or engaging in a conspiracy to commit any of these actions, can also result in criminal charges for harboring.
So, has any group(s) in our own city broken federal law?
When this commission voted to become a "Welcoming City," it automatically encouraged illegal aliens. Now, not only are we printing information in English, but we are printing in Spanish and Creole. That is definitely "welcoming" and encouraging.

You hear it all the time in Lake Worth..."We like our diversity." I was told that by Betty Resch years ago. Well, folks, you have plenty of it in Lake Worth with the Black and Hispanic population at over 62%. AND a lot of them crossed our border illegally. The percentage of Blacks and Hispanics in our local schools is higher than that. Government is printing everything in three languages to accommodate all those who don't speak English.
On April 17, 2018, Omari Hardy, our alt-Left commissioner on the dais, brought forth
Resolution 24-2018 Welcoming City. The Vote was 4/0--Mayor Pam Triolo was absent for the meeting. They wanted everyone to feel welcome in LWB including illegals who have broken our laws.
On December 4, 2018, the idea of community ID's passed on a 3/1 vote at
the Lake Worth City Commission meeting, Scott Maxwell dissenting.
Commissioner Amoroso said he put it on the Agenda because he was
concerned about the census and not getting our fair share of federal
dollars because of immigrants who will not fill out the census. All this coddling of illegals.
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement plans to begin the previously
postponed raids across the country Sunday to arrest thousands of migrant
families who already have court orders to be removed. Now we have the Guatamalan Center in our city teaching illegals who have defied a court order (and therefore have NO rights), on how to further break the law. This is outrageous.
400 students could be shuffled to fix crowding in Lake Worth
The top goal is to relieve Highland Elementary, among the county’s five most crowded elementary campuses. Just east of Interstate 95 and south of 10th Avenue North, the school enrolls 1,224 students on a campus built for 1,072.
The City of Lake Worth continues to build, even wanting to change its LDR's to accommodate more affordable housing and these kids will need schools. The majority of them do not even speak English.
Commissioner District 2 Omari Hardy said, "that he is eager for Highland to get needed relief at a time when the city expects more families to move to the area, attracted by plans for more affordable housing."
Perhaps we need a reverse "Field of Dreams." Stop the building and the density.
We should not be encouraging illegals to move to Lake Worth. Our local government is and has encouraged the migration over the past decade and caused the problem, even making a Resolution that we are a Welcoming City.
Crime is under-reported and I'm not sure if that is intentional (since we pay PBSO a bloody fortune) in order to not frighten would-be investors or home buyers or if PBSO deputies are way too busy to bother with some of the incidents.
Nevertheless, this crime was reported, and it happened directly in front of the Kava Bar on Lake Avenue--Dylan Harrison's (another beauty) establishment.
"A 77-year-old’s tip jar was stolen Monday while he performed outside the Kava Sutra Bar on Lake Avenue."
And in the meantime, this commission is attracting more poor people with their planned developments and they also declared Lake Worth a "welcoming" city.
Which Palm Beach County city is among the best places to retire?
Well, it isn't Lake Worth.
First of all, one of the requirements was to have a population over 50,000. We don't.
Next, not have more than double the national crime risk--we have so much crime that it isn't funny and some people are "packing" just to feel safe.
Or have less than 85 percent of Florida's median household income.
Besides, Lake Worth has little regard for retirees who sell their homes in the north and actually have retirement income and money in the bank. They prefer building affordable housing and attracting more poor people--illegals are all welcomed--and if you're ICE, don't come here as we are a "welcoming city" for, well you know who for.

Assault Weapon Ban and Welcoming (Sanctuary) City status are voted in for Lake Worth
The mayor was absent last night--an anniversary in her family. Perhaps that was a good thing...she didn't have to involve herself in a losing discussion that went along Democrat party lines. This is why I have stated that I will never vote for a Democrat even on a local level. They always and only represent their liberal philosophy and are always bringing their moral beliefs into everything and shoving them down our throats. Accept them or stand in the corner and shut up.
They even went against a private business, the monthly gun show at the Scottish Rite. Hardy and Robinson would like the city to take a stand against the show even operating with Hardy blaming the State of Florida for disempowering cities to actually do something about it. Can you even imagine a government not allowing a legal business to operate in America? And Hardy even wants to sue the State of Florida and Robinson said that "Tallahassee does the bad."
Regarding the two important resolutions on the agenda, that of banning assault weapons and becoming a sanctuary city, Omari Hardy dominated the conversation. It would be really great if commissioners all had equal time to express their opinions but they never do especially since Omari Hardy was elected.
Commissioner Hardy debated and gave his position on these two important resolutions--guns and sanctuary city status. He must have been on the debate team at the University of Miami. Maybe he missed his calling and should have been a lawyer. Even scarier, he's teaching our children. Although Scott Maxwell had some objections, he was impotent and ineffectual after the Omari Hardy dominance. Hardy just kept saying it was just a discussion. No it was not. It was a full fledged assault using all the plays in the liberal playbook to make your points, Commissioner.
And to make everyone who disagrees feel better, the city attorney will put a caveat (another WHEREAS) at the end of the Resolution stating that Lake Worth is NOT a Sanctuary City. What a complete farce.
And both resolutions passed on a 4/0 vote in spite of one Republican on the dais who was essentially against. But as Scott Maxwell has said in the past, you have to pick your battles. These battles were destined for defeat by Democrat commissioners in a Democrat city. Besides, down the road, Maxwell might need his cohorts on the dais for something he wants like destroying our pool. Maxwell, no longer with fire and passion in his belly, voted for the resolutions.
