Zohran attends 9/11 Memorial
Mamdani defies 9/11 families, attends Ground Zero ceremony over mourners' objections
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani showed up at the 25th anniversary 9/11 remembrance at Ground Zero on Friday despite a petition signed by more than 110,000 people, and the families who lost loved ones in the Twin Towers were not shy about telling him he was unwelcome.Mourners at the memorial in Lower Manhattan told Fox News Digital they found the mayor's presence disrespectful and offensive, citing his association with streamer Hasan Piker, who once said America "deserved 9/11", and his appointment of Ramzi Kassem, an attorney who previously represented a Guantánamo detainee linked to an al Qaeda terrorist plot, as his administration's chief counsel.
Walter Matuza, a Staten Island resident whose father was killed on September 11, 2001, helped initiate the petition demanding Mamdani stay away. The elder Matuza worked at the Carr Futures brokerage on the 92nd floor of the north tower, where dozens of his colleagues died when American Airlines Flight 11 struck the building. His son's reaction to the mayor's decision was blunt.
"He showed up anyway. It does bother us."Read about it...

Mamdani not wanted at 9/11 Memorial
66k petitioners don't want Mamdani at the 9/11 memorial but he says he' going
Families of 9/11 victims are demanding New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani stay away from the 25th anniversary ceremony at Ground Zero, and a resurfaced 2023 social media post is fueling the pressure.Giovanni Galante lost his wife Grace on September 11, 2001. Now he is leading a petition drive that has drawn tens of thousands of signatures calling on ceremony organizers to block Mamdani from participating in the commemoration this September.
The petition, hosted on Change.org, cites Mamdani's public record, his association with online commentator Hasan Piker, and what families describe as a pattern of minimizing the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.
Mamdani says he plans to attend anyway. His office did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk
Message from Senator Rick Scott
Dear Fellow Floridian,Like many of you, Ann and I are still completely heartbroken by the tragic loss of our good friend and fellow patriot, Charlie Kirk. This is a devastating loss for his wife, Erika, and their two precious kids, and the millions, including myself, who felt the impact of Charlie’s work and were inspired by his devotion to God and his beliefs.
Charlie was a good man – a devout husband, father, and friend – whose life was shaped by his faith and the idea that in America, debate and discussion are crucial to the betterment of our country. He dedicated his life to the idea that the power of our ideas can not only win the day, but start a movement. That’s exactly what he did.
Charlie was taken from us in a disgusting act of political violence on September 10, 2025, but his legacy lives on. He inspired us. He inspired me every time I spoke to him. And now, each of us has the opportunity to carry on his memory by believing in the power of our ideas, discussion, and the values of our nation.
Last week, I had the opportunity to lead and unanimously pass in the Senate my resolution with Congressman Jimmy Patronis to designate October 14, 2025 – Charlie’s birthday – as “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk” to honor his life as we continue to come together to pray for his family and celebrate his impact on the great nation.
I was also honored to attend Charlie's memorial to pay tribute to the life he lived, the man he was, and the legacy he built. May we all keep Erika and the entire Kirk family in our prayers, and may we continue to practice the ideas Charlie preached—to love our families, live by our faith, and stand by our ideas.
Sincerely,
Rick Scott, United States Senator

Richard Guercio Memorial and Celebration of Life
Photo from February 16, 2018
Richard J Guercio
Richard J Guercio touched the lives of many with his kindness and trademark smile. He lived with passion and purpose, embracing life's experiences with an open heart. He was one part Cary Grant, one part Dean Martin, one part Jimmy Buffett — all shaken together, double tall glass. And Lake Worth Beach will be less colorful, less quirky and less fun without him.Memorial Service

Obama in heated conversation at the Ethel Kennedy Memorial?
Tensions Between Biden and Obama at Kennedy Funeral
It’s always a spectacle when the Democratic Party’s top players are forced into the same room. And what better occasion to catch the dysfunction in action than the funeral of Ethel Kennedy, a solemn event now overshadowed by a very public moment of tension between Joe Biden and Barack Obama. You might think, “It’s a funeral, let’s act dignified.” But apparently, when you’re watching your party sink in the polls faster than Biden on the steps of Air Force One, restraint goes out the window.
At Ethel Kennedy’s memorial service—held at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, mind you, in front of the nation’s elite—Biden and Obama were caught in a heated conversation that sparked immediate social media speculation. And by heated, I mean Obama looked like a parent scolding a child, while Biden, our ever-composed commander-in-chief (sarcasm intended), seemed utterly flabbergasted.
Obama was probably trying to explain about Kamala dropping like a rock. :)

May We Never Forget
Today marks 21 years since the horrific 9/11 attacks on our homeland in New York, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania.
Deaths: 2,996
(2,977 victims + 19 al-Qaeda terrorists)
Injured: 25,000
$10 billion in infrastructure and property damage.
It remains the deadliest terrorist attack in human history and the single deadliest incident for firefighters and law enforcement officers in the history of the United States, with 340[12] and 72 killed.
The hijackers successfully crashed the first two planes into the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, and the third plane into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The fourth plane was intended to hit a federal government building[d] in Washington, D.C., but instead crashed down in a field outside Shanksville, Pennsylvania, following a passenger revolt that foiled the attack, [Wikipedia]

Biden should not show his Face at Ground Zero says son of 9/11 victim
Son of 9/11 Victim to Biden: Don't Come to Ground Zero
Nic Haros, Jr., the son of 9/11 victim Frances Haros, on Monday said President Joe Biden should not visit Ground Zero on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 as planned because of his "doomed" pullout of Afghanistan."I am demanding that President Biden dare not show his face at Ground Zero on 9/11," Haros said. "It is now holy ground, and I really don't think he has a place there."

Dennis Dorsey gave back to the community which he loved
It was a lifetime of giving!
Lost to COVID-19: Ex-Lake Worth Beach mayor developed Scholars for Dollars chapter
"Whenever David Cantley found himself in a financial pinch during his 19 years as principal at Lake Worth High School, there was one alumnus always ready to answer his call.Dennis Dorsey, a class of 1953 graduate who served as mayor and city commissioner in Lake Worth Beach, made a small fortune in the funeral home business after graduating from his alma mater."
"He was successful and he gave back a lot – very, very generous with his money," said Cantley, the school's principal from 1980-99. " I was always needing money for something and Dennis always came through. He never turned me down on anything."
Dorsey, 87, died Aug. 2 after contracting COVID-19.

Democrats at it again--Tearing down Statutes and now Desecrating a Grave
Dem officials cook up plan to obliterate memorial above grave of Confederate before digging him up
You can't believe the revulsion I feel after reading about this. Democrats have no idea yet what they will do with the body but they are talking to family. The City of Richmond, Virginia, is currently finalizing plans to disinter the remains of Gen. Ambrose Powell "A.P." Hill and to tear down the monument that honors his life. WRIC-TV reported that, under the orders from city officials, including millennial Democratic Mayor Levar Stoney, Hill will be dug up and erased from the city’s collective memory.
And Democrats wonder why the rest of us can't stand them!
Read about this desecration. We need to respect history while not necessarily endorsing the beliefs of those who helped make it.

Vandals tore down Flagpole at 9/11 Memorial
Vandals Attack 9/11 Memorial, Tear Down Flagpole Flying Old Glory
There are so many memorials to our heroes that it would be impossible to guard them. It's a sin that punks are taking over our cities and sanity."The Washingtonville memorial is a semi-circle of black granite with the names of five firefighters who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks engraved onto it. On top of each stone is a replica of a firefighter’s helmet."
They also graffitied the base.

Virginia Thomas has passed
Our dear friend, Virginia Thomas has passed. She was a Lake Worth High School graduate, class of '45 and a member of the Alumni Association. Photo taken at the November 2019 Alumni Luncheon at Atlantis Country Club with her friend, John Adair. So many children took dance lessons from Virginia even my second cousin.
