The Senate filibuster is a lot like a fire extinguisher behind glass — Democrats spent years trying to smash through it, and now they’re the ones screaming if anyone else reaches for the hammer.

The current standoff is straightforward. The SAVE America Act, a Republican-backed election integrity bill requiring proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections, passed the House. It has majority support in the Senate. But it doesn’t have 60 votes, which means the filibuster stands between the bill and the president’s desk.

President Trump isn’t having it. He took to Truth Social demanding Majority Leader John Thune keep the Senate in session through August recess until the bill passes — or better yet, terminate the filibuster entirely.

Sens. Mike Lee and Rick Scott backed him up, publicly opposing any recess until the job gets done. Meanwhile, Sen. Mitch McConnell, a longtime filibuster defender, remains sidelined in rehab after a June fall, giving the push an unlikely opening. [The PatriotJournal]

President Donald Trump has canceled a planned massive attack against Iran "for the future benefit of the WORLD … subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL."

The commander in chief posted on Truth Social late Saturday night: "The U.S.A. is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II.

Despite this, we have just been asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern Countries, to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to. This would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran's nuclear threat.

Fauci built trust, cashed in on authority, hid behind institutional prestige, and left ordinary Americans holding the losses. The diary, the Senate hearing, the Fifth Amendment routine, and the Wuhan funding questions all point in one direction.

The legal one-two is obvious: prosecute Deborah Birx if the evidence supports it, make her talk, build the record against Fauci, and separately attack the autopen pardons.

Fauci may have received Biden’s blanket clemency shield, but that does not make him untouchable. Pardons do not cover future lies. They do not block congressional inquiry. They do not erase documentary evidence. And they do not protect unpardoned co-actors.

If Birx helped engineer the lockdown catastrophe, school closures, mandate machine, or public-health deception, DOJ should investigate her like any other federal actor. [Luthmann]

Florida may be lining up the Fauci prosecution the federal system keeps dodging. Good.

Attorney General James Uthmeier says his office will investigate Anthony Fauci after Fauci took the Fifth before the Senate.

That matters because Biden’s pardon, if valid, protects only federal exposure—not state accountability. DeSantis saw the opening early, and Uthmeier now appears ready to test it.

A federal judge has struck down several Illinois laws that provided in-state tuition and state financial aid benefits to illegal immigrants.

On Friday, US Attorney Steven D. Weinhoeft announced that the US District Court ruled in favor of the federal government’s lawsuit against the State of Illinois and Governor JB Pritzker.

The court denied the state’s motion to dismiss and declared that Illinois’ in-state tuition rules for public universities and community colleges, its RISE Act, and the Illinois DREAM Act are “unconstitutional and invalid.” [AmericanJournalDaily]

Where were the adults?

Two Muslim migrant men admitted into the United States under the Biden administration lured and sexually abused 13-year-old girls in a Utah park.

This is not merely another local crime story. It is a child-safety failure, a vetting failure, an immigration-policy failure, and a public-transparency failure.

Parents deserve to know who is being admitted into their communities, what authorities knew, why country-of-origin information is hidden, and whether other victims exist.

Following up on a government report that confirmed the Smithsonian has been suppressing historical facts about the U.S. in favor of a leftist ideological bias that often denigrates America, President Donald Trump has ordered signs posted to correct the situation.

The response from the president, whose authority does not extend to replacing the museum's chieftains, is to order signs posted outside the museum, where the National Park Service, which takes orders from the president, runs the sidewalks.

Being posted now is the warning, above each entrance, "Warning: the exhibits in this museum were prepared by people who don't want you to love your country." [WND]

Behind the maple-leaf branding sits quotas, provincial monopolies, discriminatory tariff treatment, and selective retaliation aimed at American producers.

Under New York City’s public campaign-finance system, that qualifying contribution is matched by the taxpayers at a rate of 8 to 1 on the first $250. A $250 donation can become $2,250 when taxpayers are forced to multiply it eight-to-one.

That is not merely campaign reform. It is ideological leverage. The Regular Democrats thought they built a system they could manage. Then the DSA learned how to weaponize small donors, dues-paying true believers, volunteer armies, and low-turnout primaries. Now the grown-ups are discovering that the sandbox has teeth.

DID “WOMEN’S MARCH” LEADERS TELL THEIR HYENAS TO LIE?

A new phenomenon is developing among these screeching hyenas who hate the man who was elected in a landslide, hate all his polices and hate his supporters.

The first time I heard a woman involved in the local January 11th sign making event for the January 18, 2025 “Women’s March” claim that “it was NOT political, that it was mainly action based” I knew she was lying. She worked for the hypocritical board of directors who were trying to protect the venue where these women gathered to paint their anti-Trump signs.

The club which owns this venue had long claimed to have a “no politics” rule. Sponsoring this political event made hypocrites of them and they were desperate to gaslight those who noticed, asked questions and/or complained.

The board had long applied the “no politics” rule to prevent groups whom the board of directors viewed as “right wing” from renting this venue. However, the board of directors hated President Trump so much they SPONSORED a “Women’s March” event so they did not have to charge the rental fee which they charge others [Diane L. Gruber]
