The Lenin bit works because it exposes the oldest trick in the revolutionary book: change the label, keep the program.
Communist becomes democratic socialist. Abolition becomes reform. Terror becomes justice. Borderlessness becomes compassion. Anti-Americanism becomes patriotism. Jew-hatred becomes liberation.
Lenin does not need to return from the grave in a trench coat. His language already lives in the mouths of America’s activist class.
