Senate Resolution: Ghislane Maxwell will not get a pardon

Senate votes unanimously to oppose any pardon for convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell

Every senator on the floor backed a resolution opposing clemency for Ghislaine Maxwell, a rare bipartisan rebuke aimed squarely at the possibility that the convicted sex trafficker could walk free.

Sen. Jacky Rosen, a Nevada Democrat, brought the non-binding resolution to the Senate floor on Wednesday, and not a single senator objected. The measure passed by unanimous consent, putting the full chamber on record against any presidential pardon, commutation, or other form of executive clemency for Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence for facilitating Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation.

The timing was deliberate. Rosen introduced the resolution one day before the Senate Judiciary Committee was scheduled to advance the nomination of Todd Blanche, the acting Attorney General whom President Trump has tapped to remain in the role permanently.

Blanche interviewed Maxwell for two days last summer and produced written testimony in which Maxwell stated she had never seen Trump engage in improper conduct.

Bipartisan agreement in the Senate is rare enough to be newsworthy on its own. Cross-party votes on resolutions tend to happen only when the alternative, being seen as the lone holdout, carries more risk than the vote itself.

On the question of pardoning a woman who helped traffic children, that calculation was apparently simple enough for every senator in the chamber.

Two disgruntled Republicans holding up Todd Blanche's Nomination

Senate panel delays vote on Blanche's nomination as key Republicans withhold support

Todd Blanche's nomination to become attorney general stalled Wednesday as lawmakers scrapped a planned committee vote after key Republicans demanded more assurances about the settlement of President Donald Trump's lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche appears at his confirmation hearing in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on July 15. During Blanche's tenure as acting Attorney General the Justice Department has been under scrutiny for pushing President Trump's 1.8 billion dollar "anti-weaponization" fund and its handling of the Epstein files.

Law Takeaways from Todd Blanche's confirmation hearing for attorney general:

The Senate Judiciary Committee had been expected to vote Thursday on whether to advance Blanche's nomination to the full chamber. But resistance from two Republican senators on the committee who could block Blanche's nomination threw his confirmation into doubt.

A spokesperson for the committee said in a statement Wednesday night that the vote would be postponed "as work continues to secure sufficient support." The delay came after hours of negotiations between the Justice Department and Republican Sens. John Cornyn and Thom Tillis over the controversial settlement that afforded Trump and members of his family protection from tax audits.

Republican Senators John Cornyn of Texas and Thom Tillis of North Carolina have thrown the confirmation of Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche into serious doubt by forcing a last-minute delay of a critical Senate Judiciary Committee vote. Why?

Because Cornyn was not endorsed by Trump and Tillis was called a "loser" by Trump, both senators are retiring and not returning to Congress next year. They are acting independently of party leadership to demand written guarantees from the Trump administration regarding a controversial Justice Department settlement.

Trump now may withdraw the Blanche nomination until Cornyn and Tillis are out of office.

Shifty Schiff came after Blanche--wrongly accused

Todd Blanche Fires Back at Adam Schiff: ‘You Can’t Accuse Me… and Then Lie’

Todd Blanche had a tense moment with Sen. Adam Schiff during Wednesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing.

Blanche, President Trump’s pick for attorney general, appeared before the panel as senators pressed him on his record, his work at the Justice Department, and his past role as Trump’s personal attorney.

Trump announced last month that he had nominated Blanche to serve as attorney general. The night before the hearing, Trump praised Blanche and urged the Senate to confirm him.

“Todd Blanche is doing a PHENOMENAL job as Acting Attorney General of the United States. Under Todd’s incredible leadership at DOJ, Murder is down to the LOWEST level since 1900, and we just saw the biggest one year drop in RECORDED HISTORY,” Trump said on Tuesday evening.

Schiff used part of his questioning to focus on volume II of Jack Smith’s report involving Trump. He accused Blanche of having a conflict of interest because Blanche previously represented Trump before joining the Justice Department.

Schiff also suggested Blanche played a role in keeping that portion of Smith’s report from being released to the public. Blanche did not let the accusation slide.

Anti-Trumper Jack Smith

DOJ records reveal Jack Smith's team accessed text messages of 44 lawmakers, bypassing its own safeguards

Former special counsel Jack Smith's investigative team accessed the text messages of 44 members of Congress, Republicans and Democrats alike, after bypassing the office's own internal screening protocols designed to protect privileged and constitutionally protected communications, newly released Department of Justice records show.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin disclosed the findings after the DOJ delivered the records on Tuesday.

The messages, sent between October 2020 and January 20, 2021, were exchanged between the lawmakers and Trump White House personnel. Smith's team obtained them from the National Archives and Records Administration as part of its twin investigations into former President Donald Trump.

The disclosure raises hard questions about the scope and discipline of Smith's probe, and about whether his sworn testimony before Congress squares with the paper trail the DOJ has now produced...Filter Team protocols ignored.

Smith's office had established what it called a "Filter Team", a standard DOJ mechanism meant to screen out privileged or constitutionally sensitive material before investigators could review it. Internal DOJ documents released to Grassley spelled out the rules plainly:
"All communication to/from the Filter Team must go through the Coordinator. No materials shall be disclosed to the investigative team without approval of a filter team attorney."
Those rules were not followed. Assistant Attorney General Patrick Davis, in a letter accompanying the records release, told Grassley that Smith's team "bypassed the Filter Team and directly accessed these text messages." The FBI then identified the individuals whose phone numbers sent or received the texts.

Judiciary Committee confronts witness on soft-on crime policies

Jim Jordan CATCHES Soros-backed Attorney with damning question - "Did you lie?!!"

"Why did you change your website right after we started investigating you?!!"

GOP Rep. Jim Jordan confronted high-profile Soros-backed Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephen Descano for soft-on-crime policies, letting illegal immigrant criminals off easy, and suspiciously changing his website as soon as he came under investigation.

Jordan called him right out: “A week after we send you a letter asking you to come testify SHAZAM you change your website!” Is that a coincidence?!!”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, tussled with high-profile Soros-backed Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephen Descano over soft-on-crime policies that critics said let illegal immigrant criminals back on the street.

Descano was seated two spots away from Cheryl Minter, mother of Stephanie Minter, who was allegedly murdered by Sierra Leone national Abdul Jalloh at a bus stop not far from George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

The "Let's Get Him" Mueller War Room

Agent Just Exposed All The Shocking Debauchery Mueller’s FBI Team Engaged in Amid Their Anti-Trump Jihad

Peter Strzok texted "We'll stop him" about Donald Trump while running the Russia investigation.

That was just the beginning.

Now a second FBI agent has stepped forward – and what he saw inside Mueller's operation makes Strzok look like a footnote. This wasn't a sober investigation searching for truth.
  • Anti-Trump cartoons plastered the office walls.
  • Agents drank alcohol on the job.
  • And according to the whistleblower – an FBI agent assigned directly to Mueller's team – a single attitude drove every decision: "Let's get him."
The agent's account, first made during a December 2020 internal FBI interview, was kept buried until Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel this week.

Auto-Pen Controversy

Trump administration blocks Biden's bid to hide autopen records

Another political storm is brewing as the Trump administration just slammed the brakes on former President Joe Biden’s attempt to shield controversial documents tied to his administration’s use of an autopen.

The crux of this saga is the Trump administration’s rejection on Tuesday of Biden’s request for executive privilege to protect records that Congress is itching to scrutinize over allegations of autopen misuse on official documents, as Fox News reports.

Let’s rewind to the start of this paper trail, when concerns over Biden’s mental sharpness began bubbling up among conservatives, long before any public admission from media or Democratic allies.

Fast forward to June, when the Senate Judiciary held a hearing with the eyebrow-raising title "Unfit to Serve," digging into whether Biden’s team obscured his capacity to lead.

By Oct 1, Biden fired off a letter to the National Archives, asserting executive privilege over specific documents, claiming their release could harm the presidency’s ability to function candidly.

"I am concerned that disclosure of these materials would damage important institutional interests of the Presidency," Biden wrote in his letter to NARA.

But let’s be real -- hiding behind privilege starts to look like dodging accountability when Congress is already knee-deep in investigating potential misuse of a signature machine.

Democrats triggered; Bondi set them straight at Senate Judiciary Hearing

'You lied to be elected': Pam Bondi delivers heat to Democrats trying to score political points during hearing

'If you're not going to protect your citizens, President Trump will'

Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared before a Senate hearing on Tuesday, a hearing that multiple media outlets considered "combative."

And leftists online were critical of her presence, her behavior, and her answers, in a situation that appeared to leave Democrats triggered when Bondi refused to allow them to pursue trick questions.

For example, Sen. Dick Blumenthal, D-Conn., suggestively questioned her about her conversations about a certain legal dispute involving a merger.

She responded with heat.
"Sen. Blumenthal, I cannot believe you would accuse me of impropriety, when you lied about your military service…. You admitted you lied … to be elected…. You lied. How dare you. I'm a career prosecutor. Don't you ever challenge my integrity."

Josh Hawley goes on the Offensive - No Rogue Rulings Act

Activist judges are illegally blocking Donald Trump’s agenda

And Josh Hawley wants to hand Donald Trump one weapon to smack down activist judges.

Senator Josh Hawley is pushing a bill to curb the abuse of nationwide injunctions by activist District Court Judges, aiming to prevent them from blocking President Trump’s agenda across the entire country.

The No Rogue Rulings Act, introduced by Representative Darrell Issa, seeks to limit the reach of lower court rulings and restore balance between the branches of government.

Legal scholars and experts argue that Congress has the power to rein in District Courts and restrict nationwide injunctions, providing a more effective solution than pursuing impeachment.

“It’s never been more obvious that parts of our federal judiciary have a major malfunction of judicial activism,” Issa said. “Practically every week, we see yet another federal judge issuing yet another nationwide injunction in yet another gambit to stop President Trump from exercising his Constitutional Article II powers and carrying out the policy agenda he promised the American people he would make a reality.”

The bill passed out of the House Judiciary Committee on a 14-9 vote.

The Left’s Playbook: Delay, Delay, Delay

Pam Bondi likely won’t be confirmed as Attorney General before February.

The Democrats are at it again, folks.

"Pam Bondi, President Trump’s nominee for U.S. Attorney General, is stuck in limbo thanks to the left’s favorite pastime—delays, obstruction, and more political theater. If you thought they might ease up now that Trump is back in office, think again. Their number one goal? Stop the Trump agenda at all costs, even if it means grinding the gears of government to a halt.

Bondi’s confirmation hearing was supposed to move forward, but the Democrats pulled their usual stunt by placing an arbitrary hold on the process. According to Senate rules, any member of the Judiciary Committee can put a hold on a nomination for at least seven days. And surprise, surprise—that’s exactly what they did. Why? Because the thought of Bondi stepping into the DOJ terrifies them.

Let’s be real here—Bondi is more than qualified. She’s been Florida’s Attorney General, taken on high-profile corruption cases, and has a record of standing for the rule of law. But none of that matters to the Democrats. Their concern isn’t about qualifications or doing what’s best for America. No, their only concern is maintaining their grip on power and keeping their corruption buried deep beneath layers of bureaucratic sludge.

What Are They So Afraid Of?

Here’s the truth: Bondi represents accountability, and accountability is the last thing Democrats want. They know she’s not going to play the political games they thrive on. From her time fighting corruption in Florida to her fearless advocacy for law and order, Bondi’s track record speaks for itself. And that’s exactly why they’re panicking." [FeedsNorth.com]

Jim Jordan’s investigation into Fani Willis ramps up

Jim Jordan gave Fani Willis one ultimatum that is very bad news

The lawfare against Donald Trump won’t go unanswered.

Democrat prosecutors who targeted Donald Trump with lawfare are facing accountability.

And Jim Jordan gave Fani Willis one ultimatum that is very bad news. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is tired of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis playing political games.

Willis ignored multiple requests from the Committee to turn over records of communication between her office and special counsel Jack Smith as well as the January 6 Committee.

Zuckerberg regrets censorship

Zuckerberg Admits ‘Pressure’ From Biden Admin to Censure Content – White House Responds

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote a letter to the House Judiciary Committee stating there was pressure from the Biden Administration on COVID-19 content.

In the letter to House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Monday, Zuckerberg wrote: “There’s a lot of talk right now around how the U.S. government interacts with companies like Meta, and I want to be clear about our position.

Our platforms are for everyone – we’re about promoting speech and helping people connect in a safe and secure way. As part of this, we regularly hear from governments around the world and others with various concerns around public discourse and public safety.”

He stated that in 2021, “senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire.”

Biden Impeachment effort going forward

Rep. Byron Donalds Calls For Biden Impeachment Vote Amongst House GOP

Fox News reported that Republican Congressman Byron Donalds is advocating for a comprehensive House vote on the impeachment of President Joseph Biden following revelations from a new report detailing possible impeachable offenses during his tenure as Vice President.

The impeachment effort is grounded in a detailed 292-page report compiled by leading House committees.

Crafted by the House Oversight Committee, House Judiciary Committee, and House Ways and Means Committee, the document alleges that President Biden exploited his previous role as Vice President for personal gain.

Donalds further elaborated on Congress's duty, stating, "We have a responsibility to hold the executive branch accountable. That is the job of Congress." He also articulated concerns shared by the public concerning transparency and accountability in American politics.

FBI Director keeps warning Biden/Harris Administration that we're in danger

3000% Surge in Terror Watchlist Illegal Entries Prompts Concerns Over National Security

A new report from the House Judiciary Committee has exposed a dramatic rise in the number of illegal immigrants on the terror watchlist entering the United States.

Under Vice President Kamala Harris’s oversight as the Biden administration’s border czar, at least 375 individuals on the terror watchlist have been apprehended at the southwest border. This marks a more than 3,000% increase compared to the Trump administration.

With the border in chaos under the Biden-Harris Administration, the terrorist threat to the homeland has skyrocketed. This border insecurity has been the Administration’s choice, and it is a mistake.

As detailed in the 9/11 Commission Report, “[i]n the decade before September 11, 2001, border security—encompassing travel, entry, and immigration—was not seen as a national security matter.” As a result, Islamic extremist terrorists were able to carry out a terrorist attack on U.S. soil that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.

More than two decades later, national security experts are again sounding the alarm about the increasing chance of terrorism in the United States due to the Biden-Harris Administration’s open-borders policies.

A former FBI assistant director publicly warned just weeks ago about a potential terrorist attack emanating from the border crisis. Director Wray testified that he is “increasingly concerned that foreign terrorists could seek to exploit vulnerabilities at our southwest border or at other ports of entry, or in other aspects of our immigration system, to facilitate an attack here in the United States.

Why doesn't Harris do her job? Why do they ignore the advice of the FBI?  Anyone voting for Harris/Walz is nuts and have no love for this country and believe in America Last.

Judiciary Committee to investigate Jack Smith

Jim Jordan Launches Investigation into Special Counsel’s Admission of FBI Evidence Tampering in Trump Mar-a-Lago Case

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has initiated an investigation into Special Counsel Jack Smith after it was revealed that certain evidence in President Trump’s ‘classified’ documents case was tampered with by the FBI following their raid on Mar-a-Lago.

The admission from Jack Smith came after concerns raised by Walt Nauta’s legal team about discrepancies in the organization of evidence.

Nauta, a former White House valet and Navy veteran indicted alongside Trump, alleged that the order of items in seized boxes did not match their scan records provided during discovery.

In a recent filing, Smith acknowledged that the FBI had rearranged documents within the boxes containing ‘classified’ information, contradicting previous assurances from the Department of Justice that the contents had remained intact.

The First Amendment, the protection of confidential sources, and a free press are her guiding principles

Catherine Herridge Breaks Her Silence with Powerful Statement at House Hearing

In a striking rebuke of the Biden DOJ’s assault on journalistic freedoms, Catherine Herridge faced down government overreach in the House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing, championing the Press Act while her own legal battle against compelled source disclosure unfolds.

Herridge, renowned for her work with Fox News and CBS News, delivered her opening statement on Thursday, marking her first public words since being embroiled in a significant First Amendment dispute.

One gigantic mistake she made was working for CBS as she soon got caught up in their lay-offs. The network took drastic measures by confiscating Herridge’s files, computers, and records, which included sensitive information on privileged sources according to reports.

Fani can't be bothered to fully comply with Subpoena

Fani Willis Faces Possible Contempt of Congress Proceedings Over Subpoena Non-Compliance

House Republicans have notified Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis that she could face contempt of Congress proceedings for alleged non-compliance with a subpoena to produce records related to her office’s use of federal funds related to her case against former President Donald Trump.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) has threatened to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings against Ms. Willis, with the Republican lawmaker accusing the Fulton County DA in a March 14 letter of failing to fully comply with the Feb. 2 subpoena and of smearing a “brave whistleblower” who spoke out about her alleged misuse of federal fund grants.

The subpoena is the result of a Washington Free Beacon report that claimed that the whistleblower—a former employee in Ms. Willis’s office—was demoted after she warned Ms. Willis about her alleged use of federal grant funds that were supposed to be used for the prevention of gang activity but were instead used for trips and laptops.

Special Counsel Hur, a non-partisan civil servant

Biden's not ONLY an 'elderly man with a poor memory'... he's also a liar!

Robert Hur's testimony is shocking proof Joe cynically used his dead son Beau to save his political skin

After Special Counsel Robert Hur's Congressional testimony, one thing is for certain: His portrait of President Joe Biden as an 'elderly man with a poor memory' is spot on.

It's the 'sympathetic, well-meaning' part of his report's conclusion that's in serious doubt.

Special Counsel Hur, the picture of a non-partisan civil servant, was harangued for five hours on Tuesday. Every time it was a Democrat's turn to drill Hur, they turned it all around to condemn Trump but Hur handled it like the professional that he is.

I was glued to the tv set and watched the entire thing. Hur held his own by outraged Democrats who were pi**ed off that Joe was mentioned as "clearly cognitively impaired that no jury would hold him responsible for breaking the law" and Republicans were equally outraged that he was not held accountable.
