Democrats - Dancing Frogs

Fetterman Was the Only Democrat to Shake Trump’s Hand at the State of the Union and What He Said Next Stunned His Party

Half the Democratic caucus couldn't even be bothered to show up for the State of the Union on Tuesday night.

They were too busy standing in 30-degree weather on the National Mall at a MoveOn rally – one that drew roughly 75 people, about half of them reporters – while Robert De Niro held court at the National Press Club down the street.

But one Democrat did something that apparently required more courage than any of them could muster – and what he told Fox News the next morning exposed exactly how far his party has fallen.

More Than 50 Democrats Boycotted the State of the Union While Fetterman Shook Trump's Hand. Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania walked into the House chamber Tuesday night in a suit, greeted President Trump with a handshake, and sat down like a grown adult prepared to listen to a speech.

He believes he was the only Democrat who shook the President's hand that night. He said it doesn't matter whether a Republican or Democrat is president – you don't yell and scream and disrupt the speech of the Commander-in-Chief.

Then he dropped the line that should haunt every Democratic strategist in Washington.

"I don't think dancing frogs really moves the ball for us as a party."

Democrat committed a crime at SOTU

Democrat Seth Moulton brings illegal teen to SOTU

This congressman from blue state Massachusetts had one hell of a nerve defying the law

Federal law makes it a crime to conceal or harbor someone who is in the country illegally.

During the State of the Union, Representative Seth Moulton invited a teenage immigrant to the House gallery. Video and posts from the scene show his staff moving the young man out of sight after a Department of Homeland Security tweet flagged his immigration status. The account circulating this story says staff escorted him to avoid arrest.

Whether you agree with the policy or not, this was a public and very visible moment that raised questions about how congressional offices handle guests with immigration issues.

Title 8, United States Code, Section 1324 spells out offenses like smuggling, transportation, and harboring unauthorized aliens. The statute applies when a person knowingly or recklessly shields someone from detection. Legal experts will decide whether the actions here meet that threshold, but the statute is clear about the kinds of conduct that can trigger enforcement.

State of the Union

Who Missed the State of the Union?

The Capitol was full. The guests were packed in. Cabinet members, lawmakers, generals, Supreme Court justices, veterans and even the U.S. Men’s hockey team filled the chamber for President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address.

One Cabinet member was not there. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins stayed away.

That wasn’t an accident. Collins was named the White House’s designated survivor. He spent the night at a secure, undisclosed location. The move kept the chain of command intact if the unthinkable happened.

Designated survivor is simple and serious. One person in the presidential line of succession sits out big gatherings. If a catastrophe wipes out leadership, someone remains to lead the executive branch. The practice dates back to the Cold War, when planners worried an attack could take out the Capitol.

Expect more of the same at future addresses. Keep one person ready, away from the crowd. It’s small, easy, and smart.

For now, Secretary Collins stayed ready. The rest of the country got the speech. The continuity plan quietly did its job. [The Patriot Chronicles]

I stayed up for the entire speech which was the greatest. Hakeem Jeffries didn't look happy the entire night--not too many Democrats did. Their hands must be sore from sitting on them all night.

Trump's state of the Union address tonight

The State of the Union address

President Donald Trump will address both chambers of Congress today in what will be his first State of the Union since beginning his second term.

Scheduled for 9 p.m., the speech will mark Trump’s second address to Congress since he reclaimed the White House, coming roughly one year after his March 4, 2025, address to a joint session.

Unlike that speech, the State of the Union address is mandated by the U.S. Constitution. Presidents have historically used the occasion to speak on the top issues of the day, their appraisal of the state of the United States, their plans for the future, and legislative requests.

The address, on the year of the United States’ 250th anniversary, comes as the Department of Homeland Security remains shut down, reflecting a larger national debate over the administration’s immigration enforcement crackdown. Abroad, the Trump administration’s tariffs, diplomacy, and military pressure are driving epochal shifts on every continent.

Where to Watch: The State of the Union address will be easily accessible through a variety of platforms. Like all other official activities on the floor of Congress, the address will be streamed on C-SPAN. Viewers can also watch the speech on NTD, The Epoch Times’ sister media outlet, which will stream the address live online in addition to cable and satellite feeds. NTD’s coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET.

Democrats’ Boycott: A growing list of Democrats has announced plans to skip the event entirely this year in favor of an event dubbed a “People’s State of the Union.”

Democrats’ Response: This year, Democrats’ response will be delivered by Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger.

It's the Economy, Stupid

Bill Clinton won on that observation!

Susie Wiles Packed a Room With Cabinet Secretaries and What She Told Them Should Have Democrats Terrified

Biden spent three years swearing the economy was great and voters were just too dumb to see it.

That message bombed so spectacularly that Democrats lost the White House, the Senate, and any claim to understanding how normal Americans live.

Now Trump's team just held a meeting that proves they learned exactly the right lesson – and what came out of that room five days before the State of the Union should keep Chuck Schumer up at night.

The economy is THE issue. Not immigration. Not foreign policy. Not Epstein. Not January 6. The economy.

Tonight President Trump stands before a joint session of Congress for his first official 2026 State of the Union of his second term. Trump walks in with unified Cabinet, tested economic messaging, and 25 slides of voter data behind him. Democrats are boycotting rather than answering.

That's not a resistance strategy – that's a forfeit.

Mike Johnson speaks to Biden's Sate of the Union Speech

Speaker Johnson Releases Video That Destroys Biden’s State of the Union Speech

"The video features footage and news clips highlighting the turmoil at the border, the significant inflation rates during Biden’s term, increasing crime rates, and various other issues that have escalated under the current administration.

Following the video’s release on Thursday morning, the Louisiana Republican also criticized President Biden in a statement given to Fox News Digital.

“The State of the Union address will offer the American people an opportunity to hear directly from the president – a rare occurrence during his tenure in office,” Johnson said.

“In just three years, President Biden’s policies have rapidly accelerated American decline on every issue from the economy to national security and foreign policy. The American people don’t need empty words on a page for a reset. We need better policies and a real leader,” he added.

Joe threatened everyone in his State of the Union Speech

And Democrats clapped as if there was no tomorrow.

Joe Shouts Throughout State Of Union Speech! Threatens SCOTUS Justices

He began the speech by pushing for more money for Ukraine and attacking those opposed to wasting more tax dollars there.

The declining Chief Executive Officer sounded nasty starting from the beginning of the speech. He attacked Trump right off the bat and yelling nastily at the chamber.

Following the long, angry, and loud diatribe, prominent political pundits called Biden’s speech out for its political nature, with some likening it to more of a campaign speech than an overview of the state of the nation.

Joe even threatened the Supreme Court justices seated a few feet away from him in the House chamber during the State of the Union address on Thursday night.

Six of the nine justices were in attendance: Chief Justice John Roberts along with Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. [ettalkshow.com]
Biden: “With all due respect, Justices, women are not without electoral, electoral power! Excuse me, electoral or political power. You’re about to realize just how much you’re (mumbling)”
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump--That may be the Angriest, Least Compassionate, and Worst State of the Union Speech ever made. It was an Embarrassment to our Country!

President Trump's Statement on State of the Union

The State of the Union Is Not Good

Joe Biden's State of the Union was a series of lies that refused to address serious problems facing Americans.

Biden struggled to speak and refused to meaningfully discuss key issues facing America, such as the border and China. Biden failed the nation and 71 percentof Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. As Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders put it: "President Biden inherited the fastest economic recovery on record, the most secure border in history, cheap abundant home grown energy, fast rising wages, a rebuilt military, and a world that was stable and at peace. But over the last two years, Democrats destroyed it all."

In President Trump's response to the State of the Union, he said: "Over the past two years, under Biden, millions and millions of illegal aliens from 160 different countries have stormed across our southern border. Drug cartels are now raking in billions of dollars from smuggling poison to kill our people and to kill our children. Savage killers, rapists and violent criminals are being released from jail to continue their crime wave. And under Biden, the murder rate has reached the highest in the history of our country. Biden and the radical Democrats have wasted trillions of dollars and caused the worst inflation in half a century."

Trump added, "He’s leading us to the brink of World War III. And on top of all of that, he’s the most corrupt president in American history. And it’s not even close. But the good news is we are going to reverse every single crisis, calamity and disaster that Joe Biden has created."

Joe Biden’s mealy-mouthed State of the Union address deliberately ignored the suffering Americans currently face under his administration:
  • Under Joe Biden, Americans are experiencing the most expensive gas prices in the history of our nation.
  • Biden’s failure as chief executive of our nation’s government allowed the radicals to control his party. Radical Democrat spending is driving inflation to a four-decade-high of nearly 10 percent.
  • While Joe Biden and his handlers applaud their “economic victories,” the average American family lost $7,400 to Biden’s socialist economic experiment.
  • Crime skyrocketed under Biden. Within one year of Joe Biden taking office, a dozen major American cities saw record-breaking murder rates.
  • Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Chicago all embraced—and suffered from—Biden’s anti-police rhetoric. Since Biden took office, each city saw double-digit increases in murders and violent crime.
  • The Biden administration hamstrung local police departments' ability to respond to 911 calls—cutting funding for equipment and training, while replacing first responders with therapists.
  • Biden's attacks on police led to a surge in resignations.
  • President Trump stood with law enforcement, earning the coveted endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police. Only one candidate in 2024 has the track record of empowering our brothers and sisters in uniform.
  • The opioid epidemic continues to destroy American families as fentanyl pours across the border. Drug overdose deaths in New York City have increased 78 percent since 2019.
  • Biden, in his most blatant attempt at rewriting history, claimed that he capped insulin prices for seniors on Medicare at $35 a month. It was President Trump who capped insulin costs at $35.
President Trump has a proven record solving the problems Americans are facing.
  • President Trump's border wall resulted in an 87% reduction in illegal border crossings.
  • Under President Trump, blue-collar jobs grew at the fastest rate in decades and millions were lifted off of food stamps.
  • President Trump led America to become an energy exporter for the first time.
  • Prescription drug prices fell by more than 11 percent under President Trump.

State of the Union Address

Biden's SOTU Speech

Biden In Hot Water For Fumbled And Repeated ‘Lies’ Throughout SOTU Speech

In the wake of the State of the Union speech issued this past Tuesday evening, President Joe Biden found himself the target of some fairly heavy criticism on the web — seemingly both for the shoddy delivery of and the overall content of the speech itself.

Biden visibly fumbled over his words early on in the address, and often resorted to shouting, as POTUS normally does when addressing the American Public. The president also ended up being called out for some fairly obvious “lies” which were made during the speech.

The State of the Union

Federal Goverment Revenue and Expenses

The federal government spent 28.7% more than it collected in FY 2022, resulting in a $1.45 trillion deficit.

The national debt hit $30.9 trillion last fiscal year.

The federal debt held by the public is equivalent to 94.5% of GDP, similar to the 94.7% ratio of FY 2021, but higher than the average of 71.3% in the 10 years before the pandemic.

The child poverty rate rose to 17% in January from 12% in December — a 41% increase. DEC. 15, 2022 — The median estimated poverty rate for school-age children in all U.S. school districts in 2021 was 14.5%, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau. Inflation hit a 4 decade high.

The State of the Union And tonight we will hear what a terrific job Biden has done as more and more people fall into poverty.

Biden and his State of the Union

Joe Biden will deliver his third State of the Union this week.

"Biden’s speech on Tuesday will be full of spin claiming that he is a success, but if you ask Americans, they do not think the state of the union is positive. A CBS poll shows that 68 percent of Americans believe things are going “badly” in America today.

Will Tuesday’s speech just be full of canned applause lines or will Biden address any of the nation’s problems?

Will Biden address the drug overdose crisis sweeping the nation? Maine, for example, set a drug overdose death record in 2022 – it beat the previous record set in 2021. Biden has failed to secure the border and protect American communities.

Will Biden call for peace in Ukraine as President Trump has done? The war continues to slog on with no end in sight, as we inch closer to nuclear war.

Finally, will Biden offer any relief to Americans at the pump? Doubtful. Gas prices remain higher than they were a year ago. Under President Trump, America became the number one producer of oil and natural gas in the world. Joe Biden, instead, turns to autocrats like Venezuela’s Nicholas Maduro for oil and encourages Americans to buy electric Hummers that cost more than $87,000."

Taylor Budowich
Head of MAGA Inc.

Biden keeps saying he inherited a lousy economy. Biden lies. Inflation was 1.4% when he took over. We were growing GDP at 6%. He lies.

0 for 3, Joe!

Biden lied through his teeth!

Andy Biggs: "I was hoping President Biden would have used his State of the Union to answer for his awful job performance, to explain how he would fix the many crises he created.

But no. Once again, Biden lied THROUGH HIS TEETH!

This is the man who campaigned on being the only President who can stop Putin’s tyranny. How’s that going for Ukraine right now?

Isn’t it funny how Trump was accused of colluding with Russia, but it’s Biden who’s proven to be Putin’s lapdog?

And Biden is the man who said he’d stop COVID if elected, wouldn’t mandate vaccines, and would make sure we had enough test kits.

That’s 0 for 3, Joe!

The State of the Union is crystal clear. We are buckling under Biden’s failed leadership, our economy is collapsing, and it’s all driving our country to the brink of destruction.

Biden Heckled

Biden heckled for not including 13 US troops killed in Afghanistan in SOTU speech

During his first State of the Union Address on Tuesday night, President Joe Biden did not mention the 13 U.S. troops killed during his administration’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan last August, prompting Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) to heckle the president.

While addressing the effects of toxic burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan, Biden said many troops developed cancer “that would put them in a flag-draped coffin.”

And Pelosi clapped like crazy!

“When Biden said flag draped coffins I couldn’t stay silent. I told him directly he did it. He put 13 in there. Our heroic servicemen and women deserve so much better,” said Lauren Bobert.
