Press Room Briefings

JD Vance Just Said Something About Donald Trump That Even the Democrats in the Room Could Not Deny

Joe Biden's aides used to physically steer him away from reporters mid-sentence.

On Thursday, JD Vance walked into the first White House briefing since Karoline Leavitt's departure and called his shot.

JD Vance gave Breitbart's Nick Gilbertson the first question. That wasn't an accident. Vance used the moment to credit Leavitt for one of her most lasting legacies – blowing open the White House briefing room to non-legacy media.

"For too long, this room and I think this city have tried to lock out non-legacy media," Vance said. "They've seen it as a threat to themselves, and we actually think that it’s an amazing way to democratize access to information.”

The legacy press spent decades gatekeeping which voices got access to the president. “If you just look back to the last administration, I mean, even the Democrats in the room — and I know you guys, if you’re being honest, most of you are Democrats — you would have to admit that the level of access, the level of access to the President of the United States, the Vice President, the senior team here, it’s just completely off the charts.”

The "endless" Iranian Conflict

Vance: Iran Fight Is Not a 'War'

Vice President JD Vance on Thursday rejected the use of the word "war" to describe the U.S. fighting with Iran and declined to predict whether the six-month-old conflict would be over by November's midterm elections, in which Republicans are trying to hold on to their narrow majorities in Congress.

"I wouldn't call it a war," Vance said after being asked during a White House press briefing about whether the fighting could be wrapped up before voters cast their ballots in the Nov. 3 congressional elections. "Right now, there is no active shooting."

Vance's comments came as Iran fired at U.S. Gulf ally Kuwait on Thursday as it continued to retaliate for rounds of U.S. strikes on Iran earlier in the week.

The vice president said the U.S. had a "responsibility" to carry out this week's strikes because Iran continues the targeting of commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Vance's description of the fighting comes as President Donald Trump and his administration face questions about the conflict's duration and its political and economic effects ahead of the midterm elections.

The administration maintains it is making progress in applying economic pressure on Iranian hardliners, including the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Nut Job breached security at JD Vance's home

Ohio man pleads guilty to smashing windows at JD Vance's Cincinnati home with a hammer

William D. DeFoor, 26, pleaded guilty in federal court to vandalizing Vice President JD Vance's Cincinnati residence, an attack that destroyed historic windows and caused more than $28,000 in damage to government security equipment.

The attack damaged components of an enhanced security system the U.S. government had installed on each window of the property. That equipment alone was valued at more than $28,000. DeFoor also broke 14 historic window panes across the front of the home, AP News reported during earlier proceedings. The full cost of the destruction has not been publicly disclosed beyond the security equipment figure.

DeFoor entered his guilty plea Tuesday in the Southern District of Ohio, admitting to two federal offenses: acts of physical violence against government officials or property, and willful injury or depredation of U.S. government property. The charges stem from a January 5 incident in which DeFoor, armed with a hammer, breached the property line of Vance's home and went on a destructive rampage while the vice president and his family were in Washington, D.C.

Secret Service agents stationed at the residence first spotted DeFoor near the front fence around midnight. He moved past the driveway entrance and targeted an unmarked federal law enforcement vehicle blocking the drive, Fox News Digital reported. DeFoor struck the vehicle's driver's side window three times with the hammer, then turned on the home itself, smashing large, historic glass windows across the front of the residence.

Agents ordered DeFoor to stop and drop the weapon. He ignored every command. He then tried to flee on foot before Secret Service agents and Cincinnati police officers caught and detained him.

Vance frames el Sayed's agenda as a direct hit on Michigan's auto industry

Vance targets Michigan Democrat el Sayed as a threat to auto workers and the middle class

Vice President JD Vance is sharpening his attacks on Michigan's new Democratic Senate nominee Abdul el Sayed, calling him unfit for office and warning that his economic agenda would punish the very workers he claims to champion.

Vance appeared on Fox News's Saturday in America and unloaded on el Sayed just days after the former public health official defeated centrist Rep. Haley Stevens in Michigan's Democratic Senate primary.

The vice president framed the race as a clear test of whether Michigan voters want an economy built around industrial jobs or one organized around government redistribution to politically favored groups.

The clash matters beyond Michigan. The open Senate seat, left vacant by the retirement of Sen. Gary Peters, is rated a toss-up by the Cook Political Report.

Republican Mike Rogers, a former congressman who lost to Democrat Elissa Slotkin by fewer than 20,000 votes in 2024, will face el Sayed in November. A pickup here could shift the balance of power in the Senate, and both parties know it.

Obama compared JD Vance to a NAZI

🤔Barack Obama Called JD Vance a Nazi the Same Week He Spoke Aboard a Warship About American Unity

Barack Obama spent eight years telling you he was the president of all Americans.

Then he compared the sitting Vice President of the United States to a Nazi.

Obama just called that speech a "blood and soil" vision borrowed from Hitler's Germany.

Vance delivered his July 4th remarks in New York Harbor during the Sail250 International Naval Review, surrounded by more than 30 tall ships from allied nations.

His message was about unity –
Specifically, that Americans have accomplished everything "not as citizens divided against each other, but as a common people working toward a common future."

"Reject that America is a place for zero-sum thinking, because it's not," Vance said. "Reject the view of your nation that sees only its sins, but not its grace and its greatness."
Now a former president is calling that Nazi rhetoric.

War on Fraud in America's School Systems

Report exposes $225 million in K-12 fraud across 24 states as taxpayer dollars fund luxury cars, Disney trips

A joint investigation by two government watchdog groups has uncovered roughly $225 million in alleged fraud across America's K-12 school systems, spanning nearly 90 cases in 24 states and Puerto Rico over six years.

The schemes range from old-fashioned embezzlement to fake invoices, inflated enrollment numbers, bid-rigging, and kickbacks, all siphoning money that was supposed to reach classrooms.

The report, co-authored by the State Financial Officers Foundation and Open the Books, landed as the Trump administration ramps up its broader "War on Fraud" initiative led by Vice President JD Vance.

The findings paint a picture of systemic vulnerability in how school districts handle public money, and they raise hard questions about whether existing oversight mechanisms are doing much of anything at all.

Vance Says Trump's Instincts Operate On A Different Level

JD Vance Just Revealed Why Donald Trump Always Knows When Someone Is Lying To Him

Donald Trump invited Volodymyr Zelensky into the Oval Office and watched him try to work the room.

JD Vance just told Sean Hannity what Trump saw that nobody else did. His description of Trump's gift sounds less like politics and more like something supernatural.

JD Vance sat down with Sean Hannity for a new episode of "Hang Out with Sean Hannity" and dropped a description of Trump that stopped listeners cold."He has the best instincts about human beings of anybody I've ever met," Vance said.

Then he went further."There's an almost like, spiritual dimension of where he understands whether somebody's telling him the truth or not," he added. Vance connected his own arrogance to a much bigger pattern.

He pointed to the so-called experts who spent a decade telling Americans that Trump was a fluke, a fraud, a man with no business near power. "So many of the things that people said about Donald Trump… it was experts who assume they knew everything about economics," Vance said. "It was military experts who assume they know everything about foreign policy."

These were the people with the diplomas, the think tank titles, the cable news chyrons under their names. They were also wrong, over and over, while a businessman from Queens kept trusting his gut."If you look back on it, it was a bunch of people who screwed up the country but didn't learn a single lesson from it," Vance said.

That's the vice president of the United States telling America's institutional class they failed and never owned it.

Britain Has Condemned Everyone Except the System That Failed Henry Nowak

Starmer Told JD Vance to Stay Out of Britain and Then Arrested the People Who Agreed With Him

Vance Said What Millions of Brits Were Already Thinking

JD Vance didn't start this fire. He just refused to pretend it wasn't burning. Vance posted on X that Henry Nowak "died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor protected him."

Henry Nowak was 18 years old, a university student, out with his football teammates on the night of December 3, 2025, when Vickrum Digwa stabbed him five times with a Sikh dagger in Southampton and then told the police that Nowak was a racist and they believed him.

Vance called for "righteous anger" and blamed the killing in part on "the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it."

Starmer's office didn't address the substance. They called it foreign interference.

A Downing Street spokesperson complained about "people trying to interfere in our democracy and seeking to stir up division on our streets." Ed Davey of the Liberal Democrats demanded the US ambassador be formally summoned.

Think about what just happened. JD Vance said a young man died because British authorities prioritized a false accusation of racism over the life of a bleeding victim.

Starmer's response was to attack the American making the observation – not the system that let it happen. His citizens are protesting on the streets and he is aresting them.

Civilizational Decline

Vance: 'He should still be alive today'

Vance didn't hold back. He wrote on X:
"Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit."

He went further, tying Nowak's death to broader migration policy across Europe:

"He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it."
Vance wrote that the only proper response to the incident "is righteous anger," and that nobody "should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died."

The vice president, who has increasingly used his platform to address law-and-order failures both at home and abroad, framed the case not as a one-off crime but as a pattern enabled by political leadership that refuses to confront uncomfortable truths about migration and public safety.

NYT reports fake news

White House busts 'NYT lies'

The dispute erupted after The New York Times reported that Wiles and other West Wing officials had urged Vance to spend less time engaging in online battles, arguing that public feuds on social media were beneath the office of the vice president.

According to the report, Wiles had recently advised Vance to take a break from social media as concerns grew over his habit of directly engaging with critics online. Many social media users re-posted the claim online.

In a public response, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung accused the newspaper of publishing a false account despite being informed that the alleged conversation never took place. Cheung swiftly rejected the narrative.

“This isn’t true,” he wrote on X. “We denied it to the New York Times and they refused to run our quote. Complete fake news. This supposed ‘conversation’ never happened.”

Ilhan and Immigration Fraud

Vance declares White House will pursue Ilhan Omar over alleged immigration fraud

Vice President J.D. Vance said Friday that the White House "definitely" believes Rep. Ilhan Omar committed immigration fraud and that administration officials are actively working to determine how to build a legal case against the Minnesota Democrat.

The remarks, made on "The Benny Johnson Show," mark the most direct public statement yet from a sitting vice president on allegations that have trailed Omar for years.

Vance told Johnson he had recently spoken with White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller about the matter and that the two are exploring what legal remedies exist.

The comments arrived the same day the vice president's new anti-fraud task force convened for the first time, a body specifically charged with cracking down on social-services fraud across the country, with a particular focus on Minnesota.

The vice president did not announce a specific legal action or filing. But the language he used left little room for ambiguity about the administration's intentions, as the Daily Caller reported.

On March 16, President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the task force, announcing that it would advise the president and coordinate efforts to end fraud, waste, and abuse in government benefit programs.
'The American people deserve better than being ripped off by people who hate this country.'
The task force is working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to identify and suspend hospice and home health providers flagged as high risk.

Vance Points to Engineered Chaos in Minneapolis

Vice President Vance condemns Minneapolis unrest as organized disruption

Vice President JD Vance called the turmoil in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a deliberate act of disruption following violent clashes involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers on Saturday.

The incident occurred when federal agents conducting a targeted operation against an unauthorized migrant wanted for violent assault shot an armed man near a local donut shop, with crowds quickly gathering and blocking roads while surrounding vehicles.

Official reports confirm the suspect carried a 9mm handgun and two additional full magazines and resisted agents before shots were fired.

The fallout has sparked sharp debate over who bears responsibility for the escalating disorder. Critics point to a troubling alliance between far-left activists and local officials, suggesting their actions have fueled the volatile atmosphere.

This isn’t just random frustration; it’s a pattern that raises questions about governance in Democrat-run areas.

Democrat Party choice for 2028

VP Vance Predicts ‘Dumbest’ Democrat Candidate Will Secure Nomination In 2028

Vice President JD Vance took aim at the Democratic Party’s likely 2028 presidential contenders during a lighthearted but pointed exchange on Fox News, joking that the party’s “dumbest” candidate is most likely to emerge from the primary.

In an exclusive interview released Wednesday on Jesse Watters Primetime, Watters raised speculation about California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s national ambitions, noting the governor’s frequent media appearances and rumored White House aspirations.

When asked whether Democrats would attempt to impeach President Trump again if they regain control of Congress, Vance said such a move would be predictable—and revealing.

“I’m sure he’ll get impeached,” Vance said. “Look, they have nothing to actually run on or govern on.”

“Their entire obsessive focus of that party is they hate Donald Trump,” he continued. “So, if they ever get power, are they going to lower Americans’ taxes? No. Are they going to make your life more affordable? No. Are they going to solve the crime crisis? No.”
