Sit Your Ass Back Down” – GOP Rep. Slams Trey Gowdy in Epic Tirade

Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace from South Carolina slammed former Congressman and Fox News contributor Trey Gowdy over his recent appearance on Bret Baier’s Special Report. During the segment, Gowdy criticized Mace for voting against the government funding bill and for her support of former President Trump.

In response, Mace told Gowdy to “Sit Your Ass Back Down,” and reminded him of his failure to hold Hillary Clinton accountable for the Benghazi attack during his time as chair of the House Committee on Benghazi.

Mace also pointed out that Gowdy recently attacked Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, calling him “corrupt” and “dumbfounding” for his role in the efforts to oust House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

But Mace didn’t stop there. She also took a jab at Gowdy’s appearance, asking “Which bathroom do we think Trey Gowdy uses?” Along with a picture of Gowdy, who some say resembles the controversial lesbian soccer player Megan Rapinoe.

Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy served as one of Fox News’ lead legal analysts during Trump’s show trial in Manhattan.

When the verdict came in, Gowdy was among the many analysts dumbfounded by the jury’s decision.

And Trey Gowdy stunned Trump supporters with this reaction to the guilty verdict.

Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg convinced a jury pulled from a pool of his voters to convict Donald Trump using a farcical legal theory Bragg invented to charge Trump on crimes Bragg made up.

Trump’s real crime was winning the 2016 election.

But by manufacturing a non-existent federal campaign finance violation, Bragg gave Democrats a chance to re-litigate the election and claim they proved in court that Donald Trump stole the Presidency from Hillary Clinton.

So, what will Democrat Judge Merchan do? We will find out on July 11.

Trey Gowdy writes in Fox News:

Why would these same politicians rush to advance impeachment articles, pass those articles with no Republican votes, declare President Trump an existential threat to the Republic, and then place those articles in legislative purgatory and refuse to transmit those articles for trial?

The impeachment inquiry, investigation, votes, and ultimate refusal to transmit articles are not about removing Trump from office. Rather, it is a tacit acknowledgment he will be re-elected in November of 2020. The plan now is to use impeachment to neuter that second term with a Democrat-controlled Senate.

This impeachment exercise is most assuredly about removing someone from office. It’s just not about removing Trump from office. It’s about removing Cory Gardner, Martha McSally, Thom Tillis, Susan Collins and Joni Ernst from their senate offices.

A Democratic Senate would make the assemblage of a Cabinet next to impossible, end the filling of judicial vacancies, paralyze the country should there be a U.S. Supreme Court opening and ensure that both the House and Senate spend their time investigating the executive branch.

If you think the country made little to no legislative progress with a Democrat-controlled House and a Republican president, just wait until there is a Democrat-controlled House and Senate and a Republican president.

Trey Gowdy to represent Trump?

Democrats are racing against time to wrap up their impeachment inquiry before the calendar turns to 2020 and the Presidential race takes over. Trey has to wait until the first of the year to represent the President because of lobbyist rules.

In the meantime, there is the IG investigation that should come out soon. Inspector General Michael Horowitz wrote to congressional leaders with an update on his investigation into alleged abuses of warrants obtained under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). Horowitz said he expects the report "will be released publicly with few redactions." [CBS News]

Once this Report is out, it very possibly could derail the Democrats Impeachment.
