Trump gets a Strategical win

Trump says framework of Greenland deal is in place

Donald Trump may have just pulled off the impossible

Reports broke from Davos that Trump has the framework of a deal in place for Greenland, just not the United States adding the country as a territory and it does appear that the deal will allow the US to take control of some bases for strategic purposes, as well as a possible mineral deal.

As he usually does, Trump took to Truth Social to announce that the framework had been put in place, but it had not yet been finalized. Trump posted, "Based upon a very productive meeting that I have had with the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic Region.”

Trump further noted that the much-feared tariffs he had been threatening against EU nations were no longer a consideration.

Trump also discussed this with the media, stating, "The deal is going to be put out pretty soon, we'll see. It's right now a little bit in progress, but pretty far along. It gets us everything we need it to get."

The proposed deal will have Denmark transferring its sovereignty over Pituffik Space Base in northern Greenland to the United States. This has been under U.S. control for more than seven decades, but the land is legally Denmark’s. The United States would also get legal control over some smaller areas within Greenland for military bases.

This is not the original plan that Trump had in mind, but it serves the same purpose without having to absorb Greenland as a territory, so it is really the best of both worlds.

Red States Keep Winning While Blue States Keep Losing

Red States Just Exposed the One Thing Democrats Can’t Stand About Their Failed Economic Policies

A bombshell new report from LendingTree has ripped the mask off the Left’s economic lies and revealed what many Americans already suspected — conservative states are absolutely demolishing their liberal counterparts when it comes to real prosperity.

The financial research company analyzed the 100 biggest metropolitan areas in America using hard data on median earnings, GDP changes, population growth, housing markets, and workforce expansion from 2021 to 2023.

What they found should have every Democrat scrambling for cover.

Eight out of the top 10 fastest-growing "boomtowns" in America are located in the South, with Texas and Florida leading the charge like economic powerhouses.

Florida claimed a stunning half of the top 10 spots, while Texas dominated with Austin taking the number one overall ranking.

Lake Worth High School Student Earns First Place in National Bilingual Essay Competition

Renel Louis is a senior at Lake Worth Community High School who wrote an essay entitled “Bilingualism and Personal Growth: How Being Bilingual Will Assist Me in My Future Endeavors.”

His paper received the first place prize in the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) 2025 Being Bilingual Student Essay Contest.

“Winning first prize is a dream come true for me,” Louis said. “I am deeply grateful to my teachers, Ms. Marta Perez Rodriguez and Ms. Maria de la Cruz for their guidance, and to my mom for always motivating me to believe in myself and strive for excellence".

Written in English and Spanish for his Latinos in Action class, Louis used the essay to explore the ways in which being bilingual has helped him in his life.

He wrote in part, “if I hadn’t decided to speak a language other than my own, I would miss out on many opportunities and wouldn’t be able to appreciate this wonderful world full of diversity.”

Florida Highway Patrol vehicle wins best looking!

The Gator took us over the top!

Florida Highway Patrol cruisers take first in best-looking contest

We all did it!

The American Association of State Troopers announced the winner of its 2023 America's Best Looking Cruiser Competition is the Florida Highway Patrol with the state's black-and-tan vehicles beating out second-place California by nearly 39,000 votes.

Final results were tallied at noon Monday and showed Florida Highway Patrol in the top spot. After California followed Nevada Highway Patrol, Indiana State Police in fourth, and Kentucky State Police in fifth. I think it was the gator that pushed us over the top.

Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and FHP used a variety of strategies to engage the community in this year's competition which ultimately led to an increase in votes and a surge of teamwork felt throughout the state as different law enforcement, state agencies, media organizations, businesses, and public figures came together to raise awareness of the competition and share in the state effort to win first place.

We raised awareness of it here and on Facebook! Thanks Dave Kerner!

Trump will win according to Zogby Poll

New Zogby Poll Shakes Up 2020 Race – Between Donald Trump And Joe Biden

51-43 Think Donald Will Be Re-Elected

We know that the mainstream media is as trustworthy as Voldemort at a daycare center.

They have spent years deliberately trying to slander the president with negative news coverage. So, should we be surprised that they’d spin recent crises as bad for the president?

They (Democrats) claim Trump bungled the pandemic and is responsible for the riots. Yet what was Joe Biden doing all this time? He was hiding in his basement. When he does show up, he leaves us baffled at his inability to speak. [ThePatriotJournal]

Florida Winners and Losers

Winner of the year

Richard Corcoran. "Critics see him as a bully and sanctimonious hypocrite, an utter insider pretending to be a populist. But the wily Florida House speaker from Pasco County has dominated the agenda in Tallahassee like no one since Jeb Bush. He outmaneuvered both the governor and Florida Senate in last year’s legislative session, and there is little reason to doubt he will do so again in 2018 as he raises his profile in advance of a likely gubernatorial run.

Losers of the year

The Florida Senate. Three senators — Jack Latvala of Pinellas County,
Jeff Clemens of Palm Beach County, the biggest loser of all and Frank Artiles of Miami-Dade — knocked out of office for being pigs of one sort or another. What’s supposed to be the more deliberative body looked more like the Animal House branch."

Winners and Losers

It's been a losing team. And now all of those who supported the Atlanta Braves coming to John Prince Park are losers too. The only thing they managed to do was to divide the community even further.

The only winners are the responsible residents of Palm Beach County who wanted to preserve their park, the environment and the wildlife in one of the oldest parks for families in the State of Florida. This is the first time we lucked out for having no money--no money to fund the Braves in their quest to ruin our county park. They weren't about to pay for anything. They wanted your money so that they could make all of the profits. Apparently Sarasota worked out a deal with this billion dollar corporation.

Quote of the Day - Power to the People

“Perhaps the most stunning admission of last night [Tuesday's election] was the power shift in this country. It was deeply moving to see what citizens can do despite the overwhelming forces working against them. It isn’t the politicians, not the established press, not the lobbyists or the pundits, but the PEOPLE, that have the power now.”

Harry Reid - one sore whiner or "winner"

Ever notice when people win the vote some are still "sore" winners" or really losers?

And the sore winner:

Harry Reid: "Whomped Republicans" ... "Tea Party anarchists"... need to "get a life" and talk about something else.

And the winner is...FPL's Lewis Hay

Comment Up

The winner of the top greedy CEO goes to Lewis Hay of FPL.

Being a defender of American capitalism, I find it impossible to defend greed especially from a public corporation that has a monopoly on life sustaining services--FPL's executive salaries and benefits are truly obnoxious. This is a main reason why liberals continue to come after big business.

There is nothing inherently wrong with executives getting bigger houses and the use of jets ($31 million went for a new jet at FPL just a few years ago) especially if they’re not gaining at the expense of others in a monopolistic business supported by government in that they are allowed to take gigantic tax breaks. When you have a company that votes to pay its top executive, Lewis  Hay, $33  million in salary and benefits, it is a stark reminder of the average American worker who must have and can't live without their product. The average working stiffs' salary is $34,645 with CEO's, on an average,  make a whopping 354% more than the average worker.

The Palm Beach Post reported today that FPL's CEO is the top paid utility executive in the country and he is right in our own back yard. Other utility CEO's highest paid executives:

William Johnson, Duke energey---$28.7 million
Gale Klappa, Wisconsin Energy---$26.7 million
John Rowe, Exelon--- $23 million
Anthony Alexander, FirstEnergy---$19.8 million

Sure, FPL has the lowest residential rates in Florida. Who wouldn't, when they can buy things much cheaper than can the small utility. They have the synergies that can provide efficiency and get better rates for virtually everything, even their cost of money. They buy in gigantic bulk that lowers prices. They have people in their pockets and lobbyists (5 lobbyist firms made an average of $500,000 a piece...source Wikipedia) up the wazoo and they are driving out competition with their advantages.  With money, especially the rate payer's, you can do just about anything.  Hell, they even have some Lake Worth residents pushing for FPL to buy our Lake Worth utility. They continually ask for rate increases, all in the name of long-term investment. FPL continues to rake in the profits while those who need their product can't find jobs or feed their families and many have lost their homes. Last year FPL reported $14 BILLION in revenue.

Florida Power & Light, whose service territory stretches from South Florida to the southern borders of Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, charges just $93.23--add on the 6% franchise fee and it brings up the residential rate to $98.82 for 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity, 1000 kilowatt hours used as a benchmark of what a small residence uses in an average month. Lake Worth's comparable rate is $119.55 but we need to charge $20 more in order to operate our city and to fill in the pot-holes.
