Louisville Courier publishes a "Pre-Obituary" of Mitch McConnell

Joseph Gerth, Wise guy

Louisville Courier Journal publishes hostile 'pre-obituary' of Mitch McConnell while senator recovers in hospital

A Louisville Courier Journal columnist published a blistering column he called a "pre-obituary" of Sen. Mitch McConnell, writing it while the 84-year-old Kentucky Republican is still alive and reportedly recovering from a hospitalization that began more than five weeks ago.

Despicable Columnist Joseph Gerth did not wait for McConnell to die. He said he timed the piece deliberately, publishing it on July 22 so that, in his words, "no one can complain, 'How dare you write that about a dead guy?'"

The column, carried by McConnell's hometown paper, called the state's longest-serving senator a "detestable figure" and accused him of damaging the country's trust in government over a career spanning 42 years and six reelection victories.

The column landed while McConnell remains out of public view following a June 14 fall at his home that sent him to the hospital. His Senate office went nearly a month without issuing any public update on his condition, a silence that drew pointed questions from Kentucky's governor and fueled rumors about the senator's health.

On July 12, McConnell's office finally released a statement and a photo showing him sitting up in a hospital bed, holding a newspaper, with his wife Elaine Chao beside him.

Ten days later, the POS 💩💩 Gerth published his column.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had to put an ABC News reporter in his place after he asked a very pointed question about President Donald Trump negotiations with Iran, which Hegseth saw as a direct attack merely framed as a question.

“Of course this is ABC News! Did you even hear what I said?!”

Brazen intimidation of federal law enforcement

Noem DROPS BOMBSHELL on Violent Dem That Attacked Agent

"In a stunning rebuke of the violent actions by New Jersey Democrat lawmakers, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Chief Kristi Noem declared that their assault on ICE agents at a Newark detention facility was not “oversight” but the commission of felonies.

Speaking to Fox News host Jesse Watters, Noem condemned the Democrats’ behavior, stating, “We had members of Congress assaulting law enforcement officers. They were cooperating with criminals to create criminal acts and then they are saying that they were providing oversight. This wasn’t oversight, this was committing felonies.”

The shocking bodycam footage reveals Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver verbally abusing and physically attacking federal agents, shouting, “I touch whoever I want motherfcker!”* while another ICE agent was reportedly bodyslammed by a member of Congress.

Despite this blatant lawlessness, the liberal media has largely ignored the story, refusing to hold these Democrats accountable for their violent assault on federal law enforcement."

It's about time - Trump gets newspaper endorsement!

Trump scored his first major newspaper endorsement of the cycle yesterday when the Sheldon Adelson-owned Las Vegas Review-Journal endorsed him for President.

According to the newspaper’s editorial board, “[h]istory tells us that agents for reform often generate fear and alarm among those intent on preserving their cushy sinecures. It’s hardly a shock, then, that the 2016 campaign has produced a barrage of unceasing vitriol directed toward Mr. Trump.

Mr. Trump represents neither the danger his critics claim nor the magic elixir many of his supporters crave. But he promises to be a source of disruption and discomfort to the privileged, back-scratching political elites for whom the nation’s strength and solvency have become subservient to power’s pursuit and preservation"
